Have you ever had a good hairdo one day you love so much you want to hold onto it the next day? That's what I'm doing right now. I went to a Clive Davis party last night. He's the music genius behind so many stars’ careers - Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson, Chris Brown, Whitney Houston, Maroon 5 just to name a few.
Well anyway, I went to this cool party. Christina Aguilera, Pink, Akon, Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood performed. I had so much fun. I sat at a table that Terence Howard and Naomi Campbell sat at too. Yep. Naomi and I are so cool with each other. I had a blast with her and we took pictures together too (I even sent you a photo below.)

Ever typed in your name on Google just to see what comes up? I've done it before for fun, and have seen lots of articles and photos from my career come up. But after returning from Australia recently and coming home to phone calls asking me if I was OK, I was confused. What were they talking about?
Then I remembered my flight back from Australia. Why did that flight attendant look my thighs and butt up and down -- and say, "Thank God! Thank God! They're liars!!!" I just wasn't getting it. I told myself I didn't care, but I was having trouble sleeping that night so I got outta bed, went over to my computer, and Googled myself. This time I typed in "TYRA FAT" -- and child, I had NO idea what was about to pop up on that screen.
My eyes were met with headline after headline "THIGH-RA BANKS!" "AMERICA'S NEXT TOP WADDLE!" "TYRA PORK CHOPS!" "TYRA TOPS 200LBS!" There were blogs from people shocked that it was reported I had gained almost 50 pounds in two months. I COULDN"T BELIEVE WHAT I WAS READING. Then I saw the photo of me on the beach in Australia. Written next to it was, "Tyra Banks shows the world why she retired from the runway." I needed to let everyone know what I thought about these headlines, and on the Tyra Show TOMORROW (Thursday, February 1st), I put on the very same swimsuit I was wearing in Australia and confront those fat tabloid photos.

 Tyra prides herself on being the “Queen of Cheap” and shares these money saving secrets!
1. Save time and money when you run out of shaving cream by shaving with olive oil from your kitchen.
2. This is a great decorating tip - use unwanted CD’s as coasters. Silver goes with anything and a little bling goes a long way!
3. Get the most out of your makeup. When you’re out of lipstick, use a toothpick to dig out that last bit of product from the tube. Put the remaining lipstick into a small container you can pick up at any beauty supply store. BONUS TIP: make your lipstick last longer by using a lipstick brush to apply.
4. I don’t know if it’s legal…but, a friend told me you can use an empty fast food cup to get free refills at any location for the same chain of stores.
5. Tear out magazine advertisements for perfume and keep them in your purse. When you’re smelling a little funky, or want to smell better, use one of the samples to go from funky to fantastic!

Remember that $200 face cream I bought? Well, I had to stop using it because it broke me out. I had pimples on top of pimples. The kind of pimples that feel like there is poison underneath your skin. The kind of pimples that feel ALIVE!!!
What a waste of money! The queen of cheap (that's me) should've known better.
Most of my pimples cleared up, but there's still one whitehead left on my forehead.
I guess I've learned my lesson: Stick to the cheap face cream I've been using for more than 10 years. There is no magic in a bottle.

Just checkin' in with y'all to tell you my skin still looks the same. The $200 cream has yet to work its magic. I gotta read the label to see how long it takes for the transformation to be complete.
I've been reading your stories about your ridiculous purchases. A lot of you bought lipstick that promised to last long, but lasted toooooo long. I read a good cellulite cream story too. There was one story that was really funny about a woman who bought some boots she couldn't even walk in, just cuz they were on sale!
I love reading all of your stories. Keep 'em coming. And yeah, I REALLY do read 'em. This is REALLY me typing right now for all the doubters out there...

Hi y’all!
So today I was in the mall shopping at the after Thanksgiving sales with my mom, aunt and cousin. My mom loves costume jewelry so I headed to that department with her and ended up getting tons of costume jewelry myself. People think I am wearing the real thing, so why buy the real thing? I bought two gorgeous pairs of hoop earrings that are studded with diamonds. One had a platinum toned background, the other a gold background. I paid about $20 bucks for each. If they were real, they probably would have cost about $5,000 EACH!!! They don't call me the “Queen of Cheap” for nothin'!

I am sitting at the computer right now typing away, and I haven't brushed my teeth yet, so I've got some serious morning breath. Why do we have to wake up with such foul smelling mouths in the morning? Why can't I wake up with my mouth smelling like mouthwash??? I flossed last night, brushed with an electric toothbrush, rinsed with strong cinnamon flavored mouthwash and used my tongue scraper - yet I still wake up with a mouth that smells less than fresh.
Do you know what a tongue scraper is? It is a device that removes any gunk from your tongue and keeps your breath fresher longer. You can buy it in the drugstore. It is great in the morning, cuz it does get that extra bit of bacteria out of your mouth so you'll stay fresher smelling longer. But at night...

I'm listening to Sade’s song, “King of Sorrow,” right now. This song always puts me in such a relaxed, but kinda sad mood. I'm not really even sure what Sade is specifically singing about in this song. She sings:

I think I just experienced the most active week I have ever had in my entire life! On Sunday, I ran in a 5-mile race. It was a cool race because at every mile, there was a hip hop group right there performing. Young MC was there at the first mile. Remember his song, "BUST A MOVE"? It goes: "If you want it. You got it. If you want it. Baby you’ve got it." If you are younger than 25, you may not remember this song. Vanilla Ice was there at the 2nd mile mark. He sang "ICE, ICE BABY" and some other song that was actually pretty hot. He sang with a more hard rock style - I was into it. Coolio was at mile 3. His setting was really cool. He was surrounded by college dorms and was belting out "GANGSTA'S PARADISE". Then at mile 4 was an all-time fave of mine, DIGITAL UNDERGROUND! I was so excited, doing the "Humpty Dance" in my running clothes. Again, if you're on the younger side, you might be in the dark about these songs (but I KNOW you know "ICE, ICE BABY"). Maybe you can go to itunes and hear a sample of the songs you don't know. At the finish line, we were met by DE LA SOUL. They greeted us with free bananas, bottled water and Jamba Juice, which is the biggest smoothie company here in L.A. I was in heaven because my cheap butt loves free stuff!
