Ladies of All Races
Some black women feel that light skinned women have it easier. Do you feel that way too? What about white women who have fair or medium skin, or Latin ladies who have a dark olive skin tone? Do you think skin tone plays a role in every race?

Hey,
I am an 18 year old and i am white. I am not racist in the slightest but i do think white or light skined people have it easier than darker skined people and i think that its a terrible thing people are people whether they are White, Black, Asian, Oriental, or whatever and i think everyone should recieve the same respect. But by living in England you notice the seperation of the different races and you notice that Asians and Black British have a harder time. It is the same with gay people, people really give gays a hard time and it's horrible.
I have been to America quite a few times but recently when i visited i actually said to a friend of mine that in America Races seem to be more accepted than in the UK. I am not saying that everyone is America are'nt racists or that African American's have it easier than Black British but i do see more of a comradeship between the African American's and the White American's than i do in England.
I HATE THE WAY PEOPLE DISCRIMINATE!!

Tyra first allow me to say I love you and your shows. In the past I to was guilty of feeling that light skinned people were favored more so than darker skinned, BUT since the age of 27 I grew into myself and begin to love myself for who and what I am a beautiful very dark skined 38 year old women who has been complimented many times about the color of my skin. I love myself and truely believe that God made me in his image.I am often mistaken for Africian and I take pride in that! Pam

Hey Tyra,
Im a dark skin black girl and let me say that I am very comfortable about my complextion. Although some young ladies have a difficult time finding there confornt zone, I advise every female black or white to love the skin your in. Girls look in the mirror and find something you absolutly love about there self and dramatize that feature.(be creative)If we were all the same this world would be pretty dull so know that your fabulous because you are a creation of the master of all creations.

hie tyra. i have to say i am one of your biggest fan. i love your show and the america's next top model. i think skin tones play a role in races. But tyra
I have a great show idea for you to do. I am an african from east africa and i would like to know what african-american people think of us and i would like them to know too what we africans think of them. Here are some of the things i think of some african-american people from what i have seen, i am a college student at a black college and i have to say all african americans in college here are so priviledged and so lucky but some of them come here in college for fun, i wish i could tell them that there are kids in africa who would give anything to be in their positions and not waste this life time giving opportunity to get an education. Some african american students i have seen here at my college are not hard working at all, they cheat in classes, they do drugs and so on. Tyra i would just like you to do a show about africans and african americans and see how we each think of each other, now that would be interesting show. I just would like to tell some african americans that they shouldnt blame it on the white people all the times when there lives are bad. From what i have seen some of them make themselves end up with bad lives, some dont want to work, some are lazy so ihow can they possibly get a good life. i would also like to know how african americans think of us africans. I have to say though trya you are one blessed african american woman here in the usa and you have worked so hard to where you are at right now and i am so proud of you since you took every opportunity to work hard and to achieve your goals, please encourage other african americans to be like you and work hard in college or in achieving their dreams and remind them of how lucky they are compared to so many other people in the world.
