Tyra!! I wanna give you a hug! you're so amazing. I absolutly loved your show addressing autism! My brother has an unknown mental illness; it could be autism..but we aren't sure. Nicky is the light and happiness of my life. Even though he has a limited vocabulary he still manages to make EVERYONE he sees smile and laugh, by repeatedly saying "Hi!" over and over again with his goofy, lovable grin! He really is an angel on earth, and I'm so lucky to have such a sweet brother, who will actually cry with me if I start to cry, and will do anything to cheer me up! :D It's great you were rewarding people that are doing good in this world, not just out there for themselves.

Thanks again for doing this show for my brother and manny other innocent children affected by this condition,

Sincerely Michelle,

I just wanted to say that I truly enjoyed your show on autism, and to tell you that I am the biggest Toni Braxton fan.I love how honest and down to earth she is and how she inspires me to go after my goals in life because although she is one of the biggest selling females in the world she does not hide her failures or put on a front, she is a real person and I would love it if you would do a whole show about her before her time in Vegas is up.All Toni fans would appreciate it.Thanks a million and keep up the good work,I love your interviewing style.

Tyra,
I love watching your show and I think you have a great sense of humor, But I also admire your serious side ,like with your show highlighting autism, I have a very complicated story but I won't bore you with the details. The facts are I have 6 yr old twin boy's with autism, They we not born from me , but I have been with them since they were 6 wks old. It's not something I asked for but I cannot imagine my life without them . I know they can communicate with each other ,and when they want to they include me in their world. They are absolute fasnating to be around, they are truly a gift Thank you for all your hard work ....Donna

We're both fans but you know him and I don't. You're also a friend of his and I'm sure you know that he's big on helping kids with autism. You're right, Tyra, it's Clay Aiken! I'd love (as would so many more) to see Clay on your show again.

I don't know if there is chemistry between you in person but there sure is on stage. I'm just one of thousands that think you make an adorable couple. If you are just friends that's ok too.

Hey Tyra, I watch your show all the time and I think you should totally have The Jonas Brothers on your show because they are such an amazing band and are role models to young people everywhere, they are truly living the dream

I am a parent of a child with PDD-NOS, which falls under the autistic umbrella. Everyday is a new and sometimes challenging day, but I will have to agree with Robin, that these children are God's gift to special parents. My world would not be the same had I had any other child, but the one He has blessed me with. It lifts my heart to know that you, Toni and many other high profile people are huge supporter in the autism fight. There are so many fighting the fight and supporting so many different organization. I know that it is overwhelming at times, but just to hear others with the same stories can give you a peace within. Austismspot.com also has virtual stories and guidance that has helped me in so many areas, as well as Autismspeaks and many more.
Thank you again and may God bless you.
Sincerely,
Carrie

I have a little cousin who has Autism. At first I didn't know what the impact of autism has on the person and the people who love and care for that person. It just shows it can happen to anyone. This show was a eye opener for me(even though we get the Tyra Show 3 or 4 months down the track, which is kind of funny). I always come on Tyra show.com to see what show she did today or yesterday, cause apparently we are ahead of the world. But this particular show really hit home. It's hard seeing my Aunty go through this by herself, but she doesn't show the strain on her face, because I know it's just another caring and loving day for her and my cousin. We as a family help out where ever we can. We need more TYRAS in this world!!! And more Toni Braxtons!! I had wondered where she had gone, but I guess theres more things better than making music, and family should always come first. ALWAYS!!
Amen to that!
God Bless you Tyra
Nga Aroha kia koe
(All the love to you)

P.S.
Maybe one day you can scoop over to the other side of Australia, Aotearoa also known as New Zealand!!
It's very beautiful!

Cant wait til the next shows!!

I am a parent of a 10 year old autistic child and appreciate shows such as yours, especially when autism is discussed. The challenges that these children present are outweighed by the rewards. The stigma of having a child with a disorder is really difficult to handle sometimes, especially for a single parent. When people hear autism they think of stereotypical behaviors. Daycares and afterschool programs are afraid of having these children in their programs. There is not enough knowledge of autism and this needs to change. Having Heather appear on your shows helps in dismissing this beliefs. Your show was the only talk show that discussed autism during Autism Awareness Month. Please keep doing shows that discuss the behaviors of children with disorders such as Autism, ADD and ADHD. To all those reading this post and have or know an autistic child, please educate those around you about autism. Let them know that it is a disorder and not a disease and they have no reason to fear these children. Tyra, thank you again for the show.

Hello Tyra, thank you for featuring the subject of Autism on your show today. I have a 17 yr old son with autism, and an 11 yr old with ADHD. They are my hearts. My oldest son has a love for horses. I wrote an article about him and his connection to horses for a newsletter because horses have helped him with his social & communication skills. My son has autism, but autism doesn't HAVE my son.

Bravo to Sally for all she has done for her son and other autistic children. You are an inspiration to me.

Special note to Tasha who posted an earlier msg: Tasha YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Please check your local community for an Autism Support Group. Sharing your story with others who understand will help you.
I'll be praying for you and your sons.

Thank you Toni Braxton for sharing your story with us.

God places special needs children with only SPECIAL parents. God Bless you all.

Thanks Tyra, love you and your show.

Robin

hi tyra,

i just finish watching your show. you are so wonderful! i hope that God will continue to bless you with the best of the best only. Not only are you so beautiful and intelligent, you are kind and generous. may God bless you always.

hello,
I have not posted a comment in a long time, but I had to when I say this episode. I have to say, Thank you, tyra. Several organizations have tried to make people more aware of autism. With each attempt more and more are aware and now you are added to those individuals, Thank you!!!! Hopefully, this will encourage summer camps, schools, and other organizations willing to have programs better suitable for those that are autistic. I use to work with a wonderful lady at the YWCA and her son is autistic. That was my first time encounter with someone with autism. To see him loving music, his hats :) and loving him mom was just BEAUTIFUL, but I think we all know the challenges. She had a sayin, God doesn't give u more than u can bear.
I just hope that more things become avaible for the families of those that have an autistic child. Well, that is dream and in my book dreams can come true!!!! :) Contiune to make a change, tyra. One show at a time. Later

Wow, Tyra giving away Chevy Malibu's? What happened to the Queen of Cheep? Just kidding but anyway I am really proud of you. I really love what your doing with your show. You have done so many wounderful things. I love watching your show. Keep up the good work and I love how you keep it fierce!! All the best to you Tyra!

Love Always Steve

Thank you Tyra and Toni. When Toni said that when she heard that her son was Autistic her first thought was "WHAT DID I DO" that was a relief. That was my exact words to a t. when I found out that my son was Autistic. He is the light of our life. He just won his first Special Olympics medal. (Silver btw.)lol But again thank you. It reminds us that it just dont happen to the poor, middle class, Its everywhere

Tyra, I enjoy you everday, but today was just great. I am such a Toni Braxton fan. I'm glad she's doing well. Those women were just assume. Each one of their stories special. It was hard to pick a favorite, but the dance teacher really touched me. It was so good to see them being rewarded for all that they do. I would love to meet you, and Toni someday. As a matter of fact I give both of you a shout-out on my Myspace page. www.myspace.com/mizsuggapie
Love ya Tyra!

I was just looking for any information on where to purchase the guatemalan jewelry.

I have 2 boys with autism and it is very hard for me to make it. Im doing the best I can do. My sons are my life I love them to death. Where I stay at it's hard to get a lot of help for my kids. Im on a fix income and Im doing the best I can do. I cry myself to sleep cause I feel hopeless at times cause it's a lot my kids need. It's even hard for me to keep food in my house cause I have to pay all my bills I only get a little bit of foodstamps and that don't even last that long. Im a full-time student, I take classes on-line so I can stay home to take care of my kids a little bit better. So I wish someone could help me.
