Response to "Guess My Salary" Episode:

Most college professors do NOT make over $100K a year. That's FALSE! People don't understand that 1) professors take home A LOT less than they actually make after taxes, health insurance, and other LARGE deductions (30.76% of each paycheck from deductions), 2) that you have to have a Ph.D. (10 years past high school), have worked for a NUMBER OF DECADES, be in an administrative position, and teach in a science or tech. discipline to make six figures and, 3) be male! Most women still make considerably less than their male counterparts. I know, I'm a female college professor and will be lucky if I EVER net more than $50K or $60K. That's the truth.

PLEASE MAKE IT CLEAR TO EVERYONE THAT MOST COLLEGE PROFESSORS DO NOT MAKE $100K; THEY'RE USUALLY OLDER, MALE ADMINISTRATORS OR FULL PROFESSORS!!! I'M A FEMALE COLLEGE PROFESSOR AND TAKE HOME (NET) $36K/YEAR.

Hey Tyra, what does one have to do to be on your show? I have something troubling me alot lately and i just need to share it with someone as positive about life as you. I usually feel so alone and I get to a point where am suicidal. I really don't wanna die but sometimes it feels like the only way out. Please help!

Hi Tyra your shows and topics seem to be the antidote to cure all ailes. The money show comment from the Kenya resident suggesting showing an American what it's like to live with little money is a great idea. I would love to be a candidate for such an experiment.

hey tyra, your show i great and you can't imagine how many young people you inspire, concerning the issue of money i think guys need to appreciate what they have coz no matter how much you have our bodies which belongs to world always want more no matter how well we feed them, let people in you America know there are people who suffer, and wish they were born in your country coz there are alot of jobs and one wont mind doing any just to earn a living, know you are blessed and need to appreciate your country in a big way coz this not common to all thanks.
