my name is Samantha I’m 14 years old and I live in the United kingdom and I’m a 5’11 aspiring model. I’ve watched every cycle of ANTM and I also enjoyed your Tyra banks show but unfortunately its been taken off living TV. Ever since I was 10 years old I knew that I wanted to be in the modelling industry the first time I watched America’s next top model I knew modelling was one of the career paths I would possibly want to pursue. Over the past 3 years I’ve been told by family, friends and acquaintances that I have “the look” and that I have a lot of potential. But although I’ve got the “look” its not as easy as it seems I’ve tried for 2 years to get into the modelling industry but every time I seem to take one step forward I get knocked back two steps. On my 13 birthday I started building my portfolio and every time that I get set backs I just remind my self that “nothing in life is given to me on a silver platter I’ve got to work for what I want” and I just build every thing back up from scratch keeping my eye on the prize. If it wasn’t for you Tyra I would be were I am today so thank you for being so inspirational and for coming up with the wonderful idea of America’s next top model or I would be lost in what career path I want to peruse. But I need some help to achieve my goal and that’s why I’m turning to you because you got so much modelling experience and is so lucky to have worked amongst famous models such as Janice Dickinson (love her so much, she is also a very inspirational women),twiggy, Naomi Campbell and many more,.. So I was wondering have you got any advice on how I could build my confidence and perhaps any tips for success in the modelling industry. you’ve inspired me over the past 4 years to w ant to succeed and for that I would like to thank you.

I KNOW YOU ARE EXTREMELY BUSY AND CAN NOT READ ALL THE E-MAILS OR COMMENTS, BUT I'M HOPING MY WILL STAND OUT. I HAVE A DAUGHTER WHO IS 14 1/2 AND WANTS TO BE A MODEL. SHE IS SUCH A NATURAL IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA AND SHE ACTS LIKE SHE IS A PROFESSIONAL ALREADY. LAST YEAR SHE HAD A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE INVOLVING HER SO CALLED FRIENDS. SHE HAS BEEN SOO SAD AND REFUSES TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL IN THE AREA BECAUSE SHE THINKS WHAT HAPPEN WAS ALL HER FAULT (SHE WAS SEXUALLY ASSULTED BY A BOY WHO KNEW SHE WAS NOT IN THE RIGHT FRAME OF MIND BECAUSE SHE HAD 1 DRINK OF ALCHOL, WHICH WAS THE VERY FIRST TIME SHE DRANK ANY ALCHOL). SHE NOW IS HOME SCHOOL AND IS SO UNHAPPY BECAUSE SHE FEELS SHE IS MISSING OUT ON HER TEENAGE YEARS. SHE HAS NO FRIENDS BECAUSE SHE THINKS THEY TALK ABOUT HER AND BLAME HER FOR WHAT HAPPEN. LATELY, SHE HAS BEEN WATCHING ALL YOUR SHOWS AND WANTS TO GET INTO MODELING. MY CONCERN IS THAT I DO NOT WANT HER TO WORRY ABOUT HER WEIGHT AND STOP EATING. i was watching ANTM then i turned to your show and i was thinkin it would be nice you could have a season of ANTM with all the winners and they compete with each other to be crowned queen of ANTM.
but this season you should make them do crazy things, and take them out of their level.

Hi Tyra,

Jusst an idea, can you do a show with moms who missed their calling and still want to be a model. I know the industry goes with certain ages but I think woman ages 35-45 look great and many can still pass for their early twenties. Including myself, people always ask me why I never became a model, well one didnt have the support or know how to do it and two..had children. I think alot of older woman can give these young girls a run for their money..what do you think?

Tyra help me.I am an aspiring model . Recently I went to a model search at a department store sponsered by FORD models and they asked to see more pictures of me. Recently I sent them a few pictures but it has been 2 days and they haven't called me back. Tyra is there a prcoess that the agencies go through ? Well Tyra pray for me . Hi Tyra, is this true what i've read in some of these comments that you are true hearted when cameras are on you. This is just envy & jealousy i suppose. Hi tyra my name is Amanda, this weekend i went to a model search called Pro Scout. i learned alot and deffinatly got more confident. but we had to do a runway, show the agents our photos and say hi and stuff and i thouhgt i did really really good. But when the told us who got call back i didnt get 1 call back out of 40 agencys. i want to model and act so bad but how can i build my cofidence when this happens. im not going to stop but i was wondering if you had any tips or advice because i look up to you so much and i know you have been in this industry for a while so if you could email me back when you get a chance i would very much appricate that

Anyway, I've always wondered if there is modeling for short girls. I'm not interested in it, but I know there are other girls out there who are 5'2,5'3,5'4, who would like to be models, but can't because of their height.And there is plus size modeling. So is there short modeling?
