Hi Tyra, My name is Tamyka Rucker. I just wanted you to know that I admire you as a person and a business woman. I watch you talk show and antm. They are both excellent. You really open doors for young woman who want to pursue their career in modeling, fashion, and communications. The only sad part I see is I wish you were around when I was young and wanted to be a model. I never had encouragement and support on my goals from my family and I love what your doing for this generation. Please keep up the great work. I know times might be frustrating and maybe a little hard but always remember your doing a wonderful thing and don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise. Sometimes when I watch your show I get goose bumps with just imagining that was me on the stage waiting for my name to be called so I can be safe from elimination, LOL.

For all of the ladies who think that they need a man to make them feel complete or to define them think again. You define the man and you compliment his looks and he need you more than you need him! So for all those who say " I can't find a man" or "No one likes me" or " I am ugly" ...well think again. Hey Tyra i know that you get a lot of teenage girls and women who write to you everyday about your show and how much the show is inspirings (antm and your talk show);i feel the same way to! Most of these girls are sad at something and i am to but the best advice is to let it go and believe in your self that is something that i do everyday. I've been through a lot in my life and i can't imagine me still being here but i do believe that everything is for a purpose and no matter what religion you are interest in, your God has put you here for a reason. We can't go back in time but we can learn from our mistakes and avoid the negativity that seems to be circling around us. Whether you are fat or skinny, short or tall you have to believe in yourself and be proud of who you are. Only you can control your self esteem and it is only up to you to make positive decisions. So to all the girls out there i am not trying to attack you or put you down about how you are feeling, because everyone is different and everyone life and background is as well; but what ever you do, believe in your self and avoid all of the negative things as much as you can because it will make you a better person! Trust me i know!

hi tyra its me again (teddi)i luv antm i watch the re-runs all the time. i was just wondering do you have any advice for young girl that are overweight that get discouraged when people tell them they cant be a model? cause i go through this all the time. people tell me "oh teddi your to fat " or they say " loose some pounds" i mean i try to loose weight but nothing works!! it gets fustrating having to cry at night because im fatter than all the rest of the girls in the seventh grade.:-( please help

The reason I am writing you is because I am worried about if I go to an agencies and they look at me and they will tell me that I can't because I am short. I want to be a model so badly!!! Dear Tyra,
My name is Treasure, I'm 5'8 and 120lbs and I've been told I have the body and I posses the talent to be a model. I always shrugged off the compliments and just blushed because I didn't believe I was sexy enough or even had the talent. I wanted to yell at them, "You have no clue why I can't be a model! Because they didn't see that I had a huge hump, that I've had two surgies, that I'm not proportional." Its hurts to hear the compliments, at times. But I try to be optimistic. As I grow older, it became my dream and not their vision. I've watched the Tyra-show and I love your sense of humor, I want to know who you are. You are ADORED by many, including myself. I've been a major fan of ANTM and I study the poses, and my favorite mag to study is TeenVogue. Yea I'm the crazy one, smiling, and twisting her head and body in the mirror. I want it more than anything because I love the attention, I love clothes sooo much. I feel like a champion in a well thoughtout outfit. I want to be truly "Treasure" behind the lense. I'm silly, bubbly, flirty, talented, people-person, blunt, open, and intelligent. I think the one things thats truly stopping me is my scoliosis. My legs are longer than my torso and I have scars and... *tears* the list goes on. But my hopes still stand firm that maybe it doesn't matter. That I can represent girls with Scoliosis; long legs and short torso's everywhere.
So whether or not I'm blessed with a chance to be a model, in my heart I will always know that I'm a top-model. I'll keep strutting down the streets, and turning heads. *shrugs* I just want that chance...I don't even know where to start. Help TYRA!

My name is Tierra and Im 22 yrs old. I am a fan of your talk show as well as ANTM, but the only problem that I have is that you havent done a show for the short models... you have featured the plus size models and always the tall models but what about the short 5'5" and under? I went to an audition for ANTM in Norfolk in i think 2003/ 2004 and right away I was turned away from even trying out. Matter of fact the guy that was measuring the girls laughed so loud and hard at me that everybody turned around to see what was so funny! I am 4'10 and one of the best "urban" runway models that I know along with my friends of course but I'm the shortest of them all. I went to the audition ready to strut and tear the runway up and I wasnt even given the chance to b/c of my height. Oh and I say "urban" b/c I do choreography when i walk all the twists, turns, everything... I make sure I put on a show when walking cause I own da stage when Im on it!!! It seems to me that you have opened doors for the average height and beyond and you as well as comedien Monique have opened doors for plus size models.. but what about Short models or short women in general b/c it's alot of us out here!

As of right now, I am only 5'3 and I am curious to know if you think the standards of high fashion modeling will ever change with the height requirements. Hi Tyra!!! Im 14 years old and im 5'10'!!I've always dreamnt of modeling and awhile ago i got to have a chance at that. I went to a model search and made it through the first round but when the second one rolled around i didn't get a call back. They told us if we didn't get a call back they weren't looking for our look right now, but i have no idea what look they are looking for!! I still want to persue my drem of becoming a model, but should i give up trying after 4 or 5 years or should i keep trying until im old and gray? PLZ HELP!!

Hello Tyra. It seems there are so many of us wanting to walk in your shoes.(smile) You are a tremendous women of color and an inspiration. Would like to attempt modeling just don't know if it is to late. I am older,tall, and would be considered a plus size. Just don't know if it is to late to persue or if I have that "it" factor. I live in West Virginia and there are not any model agency's around here. We do however, get alot of scams. Anyway, I would love some feedback from you,advice or even direction.
