I have 2 daughters, 20 and 23. Last summer they were both scammed for $1500.00 each by La Cite modeling agency now using the name Century Modeling agency. These people are very convincing so I can see how it happened. As a matter of fact they fooled me too with their smooth set up. I was so ashamed for a long time that I could hardly talk about this matter but have since found out that2 other people (very intelligent women) have also fallen prey to the tactics used by these people. I wish there was still something that I could do but think that it is too late!

There are many of these scams around, they prey on the Aspirations of people who wish to be in Modeling and Talents areas and often profess to be involved with the Big Names to attract. Always ask many questions, ask for links accosiating them with work and past successes! If someone asks you for money up-front chances are they are not genuine! Only deal with people who can show sufficient contact information and not just Cellphone numbers or gmail!

My self esteem keeps getting me down. I was watching AMERICAS NEXT TOP MODEL and a comerical came on after stating to go to albertasnexttopmodel.com and its a SCAM! The number that showed up on my cell said CENTURY MODEL when in fact it was the same number as LA CITE, and the exact same address. They called me saying I have a 12 noon appoiontment satuday.LA CITE MODEL AGENCY scam me of approx. $2,000 dollars!I was suckerd into LA CITE/CENTURY MODELS. They continue to get away with this! PLease I need your help alot of people paying money up front at ridiculous rates then he doesnt get you work! YOU HEAR NOTHING from them then they charge your mastercard a few months later at $1,000 dollar!! You Can find information on google, blogs of REAL people who got ripped of tons of money!

I am a 17 year old african american young woman. I have wanted to model since i was little. I even did some baby modeling! I am recently in the middle of building my portfolio. But there is one thing that has kinda held me back. This is my weight. I am 5'4 and 101 pounds. I have had a high metabolism since i can remember. At times i feel like when people see me that is all they see. Growing up i have always gotten nasty comments such as "I might break you if i hug you", "You need to eat more","Anorexic","You are goin to blow away", and more.I personally love my size. It fits me. But at times i do get self- concious. If I follow my dream in modeling i am scared that this insecure will effect me and my opportunities. Do you have any advice for me?

I am a college sophomore in Virginia, and I just love your show. I just finished watching "Fat Exploitation" show. I have seen that you have had all kinds of plus size and runway Models on your show. But not much of Petite Models. I am a petite 4'10" and 92lbs model and I was wondering if there were any petite agencies out there. I really want to be able to get big so I can put out to the "short" models out there that they dont have to be tall and skinny to be considered beautiful. I have struggled with a lot of self esteem issues because of it, but I have gotten over it since I have started modeling. I just want to be able to do more by putting myself out there to show the word that you can still be short and sexy.

Hi Tyra, My name is Tamyka Rucker. I just wanted you to know that I admire you as a person and a business woman. I watch you talk show and antm. They are both excellent. You really open doors for young woman who want to pursue their career in modeling, fashion, and communications. The only sad part I see is I wish you were around when I was young and wanted to be a model. I never had encouragement and support on my goals from my family and I love what your doing for this generation. Please keep up the great work. Most of these girls are sad at something and i am to but the best advice is to let it go and believe in your self that is something that i do everyday.
