Tips From Tyra and Her Fierce Glam Squad
Look like a New York fashionista with these tips from Tyra and her glam squad.
1. Stop abusing your hair! For thick hair, try a vitamin E serum. Blow dry for deeper penetration.
2. To keep a bob smooth and sleek, carry a mini flat iron for touch-ups.
3. If you’re coloring your hair at home, do not use black dye. It’s the hardest color to get out.
4. When you’re young, have fun with your makeup. Go ahead and match your eye shadow to your dress.
5. Don’t attempt Technicolor eyeshadow. Just do one wash over the eye.
6. Always curl lashes before applying mascara. Pump three times and don’t push back.
7. Conceal your hips with a balloon bottom, shift dress or A-line skirt.
8. Ask for hand-painted highlights called Balayage for more dimension.

I have never used a flat iron but wanted to get that mini one for my new bangs - have no idea where to look - I googled and got a lot of options but they all look quite big - which one did you show on the show - I know it was a while ago but it looked cool
Thanks and help

Help . . .
I'm not certain where to post this, but this blog is close to what I'm looking for. I'm a scrapbooker and made a page of my granddaughter (age 12--the age where "nobody likes me") and titled it "fierce." I'd really like Tyra's definition of Fierce and can't find it anything.

Hi Tyra. I hope you can make a recommendation about what I should do. I struggle with really bad acne and I am almost 20 yrs old. I have really bad scars on my face from zits and I don't know why they just stay on my face. I figure they would go away after a while. I tried so many acne products and none seem to work. It's embarressing. I hope you know of some good product that poor college student doesn't have to pay a lot for. Thanks for your help!

TYRA! I need your help. You said on your show that you write to these so I am really hoping you find time to answer. I am graduating in spring of 2009, and I am extremely interested in the behind the scenes runways & photoshoots (i.e. makeup/hair/wardrobe) You are the ONLY person I know that I may get an answer from. I was considering MKC Beauty Academy but I am from Oregon so I am not aware of other places that might suit what I am looking for better. Can you help me? thank you so much!!! You are my role model. I LOVE YOU!

hello tyra hope your day was well! Well I have a question for you. I can recall seeing on one of your episodes you were talkin about how you put some kinda of hair growth creme on your eye brows everyday so that they would grow, well whatwas that creme called?

Hi Tyra,
First of all I just want to say I absolutly Love your show. You are such an amazing woman and are so inspirational!! I need some beauty advice. I have a problem with facial hair. I have a fair complexion and I have fine hair on my face and a bit on my throat. It is so embarrasing and is ruining my self-esteem. I am so desperate to try anything but I am not willing to try laser removal unless I have to. I feel like I am the only woman going through this and I am at the point that when I look at myself in the mirror up close I just want to cry and never go outside. Is there anything that is out there that I can use or is this just something that I have to deal with? Please if there is anything that you can suggest I would truly be greatful.
Thank you!!
