Hey, Tyra
I'm pretty sure that mostly women commented on this one. but I just get real confused when it comes to people who say they love me, and don't let alone have chemistry with me and love me. It's just hard to find a good girl for me. i just wish she was right in front of my face.

Hi Tyra,
This comment may be coming to you a little late but i did enjoy watching that show you had about the Science of love. I noticed alot of comments were from female perspectives but mine is from a male point of view. I have been in relationships and it just seems that I am always choosing the wrong type of woman. All i do is treat them with respect and do no harm to them and I end up getting taken advantage of. I do not want to bombard you with all my relationship woes but some have been as far as dealing with someone who wanted to marry me so they can become legal to where I was dropping off meds to my sick gf yet she did not want to see me and thought i was an a%$ for doing so. I guess I want to settle down so I am compromising my personal wants and beliefs for the wrong females. I'm not much of dater and I;m not the player type. One of my issues that I think i fall too hard too quickly. Usually you would hear a female say that not a male. I am in school now taking courses so i can apply to chiropractic college in the near future and I don't know if that scares these females off because once i mention that i have a goal and a plan for life they act differently around me and then all this garbage happens and they make up any excuse to get out of the realationship start up any little drama so to speak. I could be wrong but that's what i feel. Thank God I have an excellent support system like my family and friends and they will always be there for me. I just wanted to leave that comment even though it is about a week or two late I just found about your site recently.
Take Care Tyra,
Good man looking for good woman

This weekend it came to me a great show idea that I would love for you to take advantage of. I noticed and am willing to admit that I am the Whitest African American woman that i know. I dont like the most urban clothing lines such as Baby Phat or Enyce. I am just not down with what people would think that a young African American woman should be into. I may have just admitted to something that my friends and family already knew. I love all kinds of music, and although I always thought that I could never date out side of my race, my most loving relationship was with a man that is Hispanic (Mexican) to be exact. I found that he was more passionate, loving, listened to me, and was sooo patient. I learned amazing things from him and he learned things from me as well. And now that I am single and 27 I am finding it hard to settle for the men that I could have accepted before this interacial relationship. I want the same things that he gave in a man of the same race, but I cant find it. I dont know if it is the men I am selecting or is it a real difference between the races. I now have no problem dating outside my race, but white guys check me out, however never approach me. And then the black men approach me, however dont know how to treat me right, dont appreciate the women I am, and dont care to learn. I dont know what to do, and I am sure there are other women in the same situation. What do you do when you are in between races? Is it betrayal of your own race or is it just being on the search for the right man regardless of their ethnicity? If you were blind folded could you tell the differences between the men races? I need help, let me know what you think!!!!
Thanks,
Latoyia

Dear Tyra,
I want to use this medium to congratulate you on your success. I watched the BET award and was very impressed that your acheivement remain noticed and most importantly over 120 countries watch your shows. I wish you could extend it to the "Mother Land" Africa.
I prayed and wished as a girl to one day have a wedding well celebrated with friends, family and well wishers. I am 35 yrs. old now with my man (married in court)and with two children but not able to afford my dream wedding celebration. I wish to have a wedding and reception some time this year (preferably end of August)and I am seeking and would appreciate any kind of sponsorship from your organization to make my dream come true. I also want to promote TYRA SHOW with banners or anything during my wedding reception since I want a large quest in attendance.
Thanks in advance,
Mary

Hi Ms. Tyra,
I love all your shows. Each episode is funny as well as informative. My personal favorite was The Black Women's State of The Union Summit. It goes to show that Black Women will always be intelligent, beautiful, strong, women. Although now days it seems like yound black women in their early twenties have to have a personality or show damn near everything to find a man. Maybe there is this thing called science. But, I know that my selected potentials have been pitiful. I was wondering if you believe that now days if a woman seems less outgoing or spontaneous that something is wrong with her? Because my age group of women have personalities. And I don't at all. Does being aggressive increase your chances of finding that male friend who could possibly in the long run become a date?

Hey Tyra!
so I have a little story for you it may not deal with the topic but well.. I think you'd be intersted.
So let me begin with I'm 18 and I'm a senior at my school. So one day my best friend decided to hook me and her friend up lets call him... "Trevor" well Trevor and I hit it off really well, he said I was gorgeous and that we had alot in common and blah blah blah... well when we started dating I was sooo happy I was thinking "yeah I finally found a guy who likes me for me!" well I was wrong because the day after my birthday he broke up with me.. now even though it was just a few weeks I was crushed I really liked this guy. So after the breakup I had some questions that I wanted answered so I called him one night and I asked him why he broke up with me and he said that he wasnt attracted to me physicaly or mentaly now I can understand that but what he said next was low and extremly hurtful.. so then he went on to say " when Amber was showing me those pictures of you I only saw from the shoulders up.. I didnt see everything else and I thought I could get around it but at times when I was with you it was really akward" uhhmm yeah.. I was hurt.. he broke up with me because of the way I look. Ive been struggling with my looks for 7 years.. I hardly had self esteem when I went into the relationship and now well after what he said yeah I have zero! Honestly I couldn't believe what came out of his mouth nither could any of his friends. He said he wanted to be friends with me but he hasnt said a word to me! the friend that hooked us up said that he knows that he hurt me and he feels bad about it.. but I would just like it if he would talk to me ya know just say hi to me. I'm still hurt over what he said and if he ever came back and asked me to go back with him.. id do it id never be able to believe anything that came out of his mouth or even trust him but I would take him back.
I wanted to tell you this little story because I watch your show when ever I can and I love it and I'm always seeing shows about women and body issues and shows about jerks and stuff.
I also was just wondering if you had any advice for me?
thanks Tyra!!!

Dear tyra, i have been in a world where i've so cacooned to reality that anything that comes my way are immediately bounced off. i am currently in a relationship but it feels not as the way it was as how for the first time we met. We were friends and the conversations were healthy and vibrant but now as we're in the relationship, it's like a waste of time ever being together and i want to break it up but my conscious feelings are stopping me.
i'm a very fragile person where it comes to hurting someone feelings. Life somehow flips my pages and rewrites my love life where someone that knows me since primary school enters the picture and have me in a trance. Anything i ask of him is true and straight-forward and it reaches to a point that he, himself has grown in love with me and so have i.People say that age makes a difference but i'm just 19yrs of age and experiencing the same feelings and pains as everyone. Ur inspirations have touched and changed people's life and i really wanted to shared this with u. I'm from another country called trinidad and tobago and i hope u can help me likewise.

Dear Tyra,
I'm writing to you all the way from spartanburg s.c. I'm pregnant with twins by a football player that will not tell his own family about the new aditions that will be here very soon; very soon meaning that i only have six more weeks to go. In order for him to stay on the football team, he has to stay on campus at the college that he attend. I'm having to go on maternity leave without pay from my job, and no other source of income coming in to my home. I really need your help, can you please help me. Although, my pregnacy was an accident in my time of stuggle, when i almost lost my apartment and car, i guess i was looking for some male attention. This will also effect the future with the man that i want to one day marry, but whom is in jail at the moment; I still love my babies and want to give and do all that i can for them. I'm already raising a toddler by myself and i don't want us to end up on the streets, in a shelter or having to mooch off someone else. Again, if you can help me in any way, i will greatly appreciate it, Thanks!

The biggest problem with this show was that you did NOT alter the order of presentation of the bachelors.
This failure....and the fact that your "scientific" advisor didn't pick up on it....or advise you otherwise...makes this just another POP piece of information.
Next time, counter-balance :)

Tyra, I seen your show today and really appreciated how those young people got together based on the Dr's theory of chemistry. I have two sons, 28 and 21 and would love to see them in a relationship that is compatible. Unfortunately, living in Texas I nor they can go to your show. Does the Dr. visit Texas and hook people up? Both sons are goodlookin and hard workers and Christian. As their mother I know they would be great mates to some fortunate young lady. I wish I could help them find their soul mates. Thanks for listening anyways.
