I am writing in reference to Elise who appeared as one of the single ladies on your March 3, 2008 episode about women who are in a singles rut. I was very attracted to her pleasant appearance and I commend her for her values.

I am a 31 year-old single caucasian man, 5'8" 145 lbs former amateur boxer who has never been married and stuck in sort of a singles rut myself. I am shy at first as is Elise, however, I break out of my shell fairly quickly when I warm up to someone. I believe Elise seems like the type of person who makes it easy for an individual to be themselves around. When I am nervous and shy, I most always use humor to combat the tension so I tend to be very funny to say the least. I served our country honorably for 4 years in the US Army and was a successful businessman. I have now turned my sights to writing.

I need your help! I was watching re-airing of your show the other night on Oxygen (b/c I don't get to watch it during the day). The title of the show was "Stuck in a Singles Rut", I believe. There was a girl that was extremely shy that you set up on 3 dates with 3 standup comedians. Well, I absolutely fell in LOVE with one of them! It was actually the guy she picked... Adam. I would LOVE to meet him! I know this sounds crazy, and I have NEVER done this, but my roommate and I were watching the show and I was going crazy over him, so she said that I should write you. I told her there is no way that you would ever respond, but that I might as well give it a shot... just in case! I obviously don't want to meet him if he is dating that lovely young lady from your show. I don't want to be a homewrecker, but if things just didn't work between them, I say let me have a shot at him! But here's the catch. I have made a commitment to not date for 3 months. I have been going on some of the WORST dates ever! So, I'm thinking if hes still single by June 10th, let me know how I can meet him. I can send you pics myself and my info for you to run a background check so you know i'm not a psycho and so he can see me first. I feel so lame writing this, but I just can't stop thinking about him!

Hey everyone, this is Elise (from the show). Thanks for all your nice comments, you're really too nice! I think I probably came off better on the show than I would in real life (lol). Anyway, for the people who didn't like the guys they set me up with, they really were nice in real life and I actually did like Adam but he must not like me cuz he never asked me out again!! Lol, how dare he?

I just wanted to write in and say how much I enjoyed the opening segment of the show. Too often, people, esp. woman, who are "older" (i.e., over 32!) feel like leftovers on the dating scene. Jamie is an attractive, vivacious woman who is eminently "dateable". And her date Andy was totally amazing! He truly did not look anywhere close to his real age. I did kind of wonder though why she got only one date. I think it must have been a little difficult to find other 50-year old men who looked as good as Andy. On the other hand, since Andy Troy wrote a book titled "Living Young", maybe if men tried a little harder to look younger, the candidate pool of desirable 50-year old males would grow.

I am the man for Elise because she is sweet like me. I love the way she smiles with her eyes. She is very demure but I love that! I know it’s really hard to talk about yourself and make it clear so everyone else can know a little bit about you, so I applaud the three 3 women to bare more than that. I have been passed over by picky women most of my life cause I'm in a wheelchair and that is my only flaw. I believe I have qualities that fit all 3 women in some way or another. I am the type of guy who loves to laugh. I am a very honest person, who likes to express my feelings. I see myself as easygoing and friendly. One of the most important things for me is friendship. Another important quality for me is to respect other people’s feeling. I want to meet someone to become friends and possible something else later. I am very sincere.
