Tyra,
I have to record your shows because it's on when I am work, so I watches it at weekends.
I could not beleive some one caring for patients/elderly with that kind of nails. That is disgusting and you ask her the perfect question. I personally think with those nails there would not be good hygiene. Good luck on your show, you are doing a wonderful job.

I was surprised her job allowed her to wear her nails so long it could have been dangerous to her and others, do the words accident & cleanliness mean anything!?! Also, you didn't twist her arm to do her nails, she could have said "no."

Hey Tyra
Wow those nails look better. I was looking through your site and you said you have really rouugh hands. Have you ever tried using a really think cream or vaseline and then putting tight cotton gloves on them overnight. You wake and and your hands are alot softer.

Thank-you so much for correcting her nails!!!! I know you and Zoe thought it to be a cosmetic change for the better, but it's really hazardious to her patients to have her work with long nails, especially fake with real under it. Fungus and e-coli and many other micro bugs live under there. Babies have died from fake nail waring nurses as their immune systems cann't tolerate micro bugs.

Hey tyra, i wanna tell u something, i think ur great so i want to discuss this double standard among celebrities like u and "nobodies" like me.
I have a weird sense of humor, i laugh alot, i blink alot, & sumtimes my weight can go up and down, although overall im pretty, which sounds to me a bit like u. (in a good way.) But alot of people throughout my entire life had made fun of me for some of the things i mentioned, and sometimes i proudly respond "so what?" or even sometimes i say "even tyra banks does that" (i hope thats ok :)) & they say, "well yeah thats her shes a beautiful model, but ur just a __ (insert insult)" I guess having flaws is okay if ur famous and beautiful, but not for people like moi? :(

Hey Tyra...
The shorter nails are SO much better...... :)
I think just a bit of a free-edge that is squared off is so trendy and neat looking.....The long acrylic nails gotta go!!!!
If your going to wear acrylic nails, keep them a sporty length....
Thanks for listening...
Love ya' Trya...Your my favorite and I would LOVE to meet you one day....That would be a dream come true....

Did a great job as usual and loved the show. My husband actually watched it with me. Cutting the nails was a great idea #1: When you work with the elderly as a CNA you should not have nails like that anyway, It's very unprofesionable and you could poke someone's eye out with those claws. The new red nails were much better looking and also more cleaner looking underneath where all the bacteria hides. Thanks Tyra!!!

It was a major change in her overall look. I enjoy the simple yet fun red nail polish, along with the cut of her nails.

i think her nails before are sexy but not her wrinkly hand....the short nails make her look her age......her nails before are for lady's in their 20 or younger but you should not have your nails looking like thats when your 50.

I have to admit, I love the long curve cali nails. And have worn them just as long as this lady has. Yes, I am constantly cleaning underneath them so that they don't look gross. But, her nails was a HOT mess...too busy. Can't see them being good for the job she has.

Thank You so much for finally showing woman how to wear their nails. I cut my nails all the way down an wear clear nail polish and they look so nice. Tyra you should have someone take the A train from uptown all the way to Far Rockaway and I bet you could find about 100 woment who could use a good dragon nail makeover!

I will admit that the long nails were making her hands look old. The new look brings 20 years off and more aesthetically pleasing. If i were to meet her on the street, her hands would look better with short nails.

Love her natural looking nails, the acrylics are so yesterday, its all about being natural. Speaking of all natural, Zoe is way too skinny, give that girl a real meal, and make sure she keeps it down. :-)

The after nails are much more appropriate for her work. I work in the body art business, so i need to take care of how i look, and I had just come back from the manicurist to see this segment! I have natural nails, and the pinky nails were both really long, naturally, and he told me they would look better trimmed and all the same length. So now they are trimmed, and it hurt so much to see him cut off about a quarter inch of nail I had babied to grow that long. But now they look great...and I did a french manicure too, so they are very natural, but still quite attractive, and they do look better shorter.

I like the short nails too. I agree that she was SUCH a trooper to have those taken off. They were something she had had for a very long time and she went for it. I have natural, fairly long, nails but even so when I get a manicure the fun lengths and colors are tempting. I'm trying to get a job at a hospital and that is one of the first things they told me was that I had to have short nails, and even the polish shouldn't be chipped.
