Supermodel Beauty Tips for Dark Skin
Supermodels Alek Wek and Chanel Iman share their must-have beauty products for black skin.
Alek is a low-maintenance beauty but she can’t live without her Super Supreme Butter from Sephora, which you can find at www.sephora.com
Model Chanel Iman refuses to go out looking dry or ashy, so she uses Rosebud Salve from Sephora on her lips and cuticles! Visit www.sephora.com

How's it going Tyra!!! Just want to let you know..........along with quite a few of other fans that you're show is basically just the 'bomb'! I love it, and try to even record it on vcr when I know I'm not going to be home. I think you keep it very ethnic, bi-racial, and male/female guests! Keep up the good work Tyra!

Hi Tara, I think that it is incredible of you to tackle issues that we face today. Every show of yours is based on reality and is easy to relate to. I am not able to look at the show everyday but often and I thank you. Please continue to pursue topics of interest.

Hi Tyra,
I'm Ines, I'm from Portugal and I want to be a model but I'm only 13. I have dark skin and my skin sometimes have pimples and I have also those black things (i don't know the name). I want to wear make-up but I'm very young to wear make-up every day and make-up is expensive and what is the best for my skin? I am afraid if no one want me to be a model. Because they are very rigourus... and I'm afraid if they see my face and they say that they don't want me. Because I'm no beaty queen I'm just a normal girl who wants to be a model... And also one day I will go to the USA to see your show

wot sara from DRC says is true.Am from Kenya I watch The Tyra Banks show daily.African women have less than zero self esteem.Im thirty and single I know for a fact that wot defines a woman in african culture is marriage and bearing boy children. This show does alot for many women's self esteem mine included.@ bebe There is nothing ghetto about Tyra she is just being herself and that is great even wen it luks ghetto to some pple if you wanna represent blacks diff why not start your own show wea u can b all cultured and have all the finesse that you want the world to see in blacks.Tyra I want that book on Living fearlessly but I cant find it in our bookshops can you hook me up by mail???

Hi Tyra,
My name is Carissa and I am 15 years old from the Bay Area in California. I love watching your show and would like to say thank you for giving alot of young girls of color like myself the hope and esteem that we too can become a super model like yourself with a lot of dedication and hard work. When I was younger I always dreamed of modeling then when I was 6 years old I had a accident that left a few scars on my face but I never once let that change my dream and even today I will continue to follow that dream. I believe I survived my accident for many reasons and becoming a model is one of them. I thank you for being not only a model but a role model to me.
Thanks
Carissa

Hi Tyra,
My name is Imani and I am 14 years old. I am an African American girl and i stand about 5'7. I live in Howell Nj. I am often told that I am very beautiful, or just asked if i model. When I was a little younger i was teased for having such long, skinny legs. I would never like to wear tight jeans and I would always wear long shirts. I never had the long, thick, beautiful hair that I always wanted, so I wear weaves and just hope that my hair will become the way I always wished it to be. Even with all of that, I get compliments on my face and body from family, friends, and even unfamiliar faces. I was never the person to take things to the head, but all of the compliments really made me think. For years now, my dream has been to be a supermodel. When things just started going down hill for me, i started giving up on myself, and you could see it in my actions. I want to save myself. I want to start doing something productive to keep myself up. I KNOW that I could be a good model, i just need help starting and I would love to get help from you.

Tyra,
I'm 33 with light skin and dark black ance spots. Everywhere I go, no one looks like me. I want to be pretty. I want to wear tank tops and sun dresses. I would like to be married some day but I won't be able to wear a strapless dress or let my future husband see me in the nude. I want to be normal and go without makeup if I choose. It's soooooo great to hear that I am not the only one. But I know exactly how the other girls feel and yet I can't offer any encouraging advice other than: 1. Don't go out in the day time............. and 2. Get a professional to do your makeup although it is going to cost you!!!
3. Keep praying that one of the talkshows will pull your email and call you!
Love you Tyra,
Renee

hey tyra,
Im 15 years old. I really look u to you- you are a major role model in my life. I myself would like to model, but i am having a very hard time getting discovered. I have been wanting to model for probally the last two years. I didn't realize how hard it was to get into it though. It's not as easy as I thought it would be. It's hard to go to local castings too because some of the companies i have never heard of before, and my mom doesn't like that very much. Other companies are just to far away. I had a chance before when I was at a mall in Michigan when there was a modelng company there they came up to me to ask me if I ever thought about modeling, but i had said no. I didn't have that much confidence than and was very shy. I look back now and wish I had took that chance because who knows that could have been just what would have made me a model. Ever since that day my confidence has been built up,and if I could get a chance like that agian. I would say YES, YES, YES.

Hey Tyra,
This is my first communication with you.
I would like to make you aware that on your website it is required to have the latest flash player in order to view any videos or even to the get tickets area. I have access to a library computer which makes it difficult since there was no update in software. How can you and I solve this problem? Thank you for coming to New York and I love those eyes. You must have broken many hearts. I will send you a portrait drawing or copy of it that I did of you! I would prefer to make sure that you get it personally. Can I get tickets by mail?
Peace, Vic!!!
