I notice that many of the Pageants at mypageantdirectory.com. are Very Expensive to enter and probably out of the question for many realistic Parents, I think there are cheaper and less business like options for those wishing their youngster to be in Pageants and Miss Contests!

How Great to hear of a young person so enthusistic about Design and Clothing! This makes a refreshing Change! Staging a Local Fashion Show and inviting the Local Press may be one way of getting your Daughters ideas and Designs noticed Dionne! Alternatively you could perhaps approach your local Teen Pageants and ask whether your items could be worn by some of the Contestants during the Contest and maybe donate one or two items as prizes!

Once again, I don't expect you to pick us, so my hopes aren't up, trust me. My daughter, Destiny, wil be 5 on June 7th. She is signed on with an agency in Missouri. They only charged 400 dollars and I'm a single parent. All my dreams were crashed as a young child and I am not about to let her dreams be the same. She is good at posing and is camera friendly. I have never put her in a pageant. She has no idea what they are yet! I did my research for a few months. If you choose us that would be great. I am not about to say I am your number one fan. You have way too many people saying that. LOL. I don't know how many number 1 fans one can have, but you have a lot. I admire you and think you are an amazing person.

Like the other parents say there are alot of scammes out there and i dont want her talent used in the wrong way. If u can help her get started we would love it.

It is so funny to see this topic come up. I have a beautiful four year old named Destiny. I named her that because she truly was my Destiny. I was 17 when I had her and was hanging out with the wrong crowd after losing my grandmother who raised me the summer before my senior year ( Destiny was born on my grandmothers birthday!!)
When I found out I was pregnant I "woke up" and realized what I had to do.. I had to be the best mommy I could.
Anyway. I work 7 days a week.. 2 jobs and an at home business in order to let my daughter do pageants here and there. She LOVES them so I work hard so I can surprise her every now and then with a "yes" instead of a "no baby I'm sorry" I have tried very hard to find a modeling agency but they want so much money up front. My daughter is beautiful and I would love for her to have a foot in the door so that she could start saving for college. I also would love for her to have a chance to make it because when she was 6 months old she got a third degree burn, well her skin healed to fast and grew together so her foot was not able to move like everyone elses.. She has had skin graft surgeries to fix it.. and will have to have more. She knows she is "different" but it doesn't stop her.. and when kids ask her about it or make fun of her she doesn't let it bother her and keeps a smile on her face. When at a pageant awhile back she actually had a judge make a bad comment about it which broke my heart that they were looking at her foot and not her beautiful smile. I would love for her to show the world that people who may be a little different are just as beautiful and can make it in a very critical world. After all.. it IS whats on the inside right? I have so many people tell me how beautiful she is and that she should model.. I just don't know where to go...

I think i have a look but i just can't get my foot and the door I don't even have a portfolio. Don't get scammed! There are so many "talent scout" events that are just looking to scam people with hopes and dreams of making it into the modeling/acting/singing business. I know, I was "scammed" by one such agency... If your daughter really wants to get into modeling, look up legitimate talent agencies in your area (I'm in GA, so that would be Atlanta for me, you get the picture...). When my daughter was younger, everyone always said she was so cute and should be a model. I took her to one of those scouting events and $1000 later, I had some cute pictures and a bunch of talent agencies saying "we're not interested in children." The next month I found the local agencies in my area and mailed in her photos with a letter of interest. We interviewed with two agents and were accepted for representation by both of them. It makes me crazy when I think how much money I could have saved if I had just done that in the first place!!

I love your show and ANTM. My daughter tells anyone who will listen that when she grows up, she's going to be "a supermodel and a teacher" (she's 9- go figure...). She also does pageants, but only natural and semi-glitz, not full glitz. At a pageant last year, one mother actually told her "girl, when you get older Tyra Banks is going to hate you!" Hate to say it Tyra, but that just made my heart swell with pride =)

Thank you for the great job you are doing. We could not ask for a better role model for our teenage daughters.

I too have a beautiful little girl, she is 10 years old, she is gracious, elegant, polite, the sweetest little girl any mother could ever ask for. she is so interesting in modeling and am trying hard to make her wish come throught, but just like all other aspiring mothers, am at a dead end not knowing what direction to go. There is just too much fraud with these so call modeling agencies.

I found this talent agency called ProScout, they seems promising but am very wary of them, since I have never heard of them before. And also they
are charging $795 so you can attend a scouting event, according to them lots of top modeling and actoring agencies will be there looking for new faces. Agencies like L.A. Models, N.Y. Models, elite, just to name a few.
Please if you know anything about them, please let me know before I throw away that kind of money.
