I only saw half of the show and thought that it was very interesting to watch. I just don't understand why some people on here are making such unnecessary fuss. After all it is not that serious. The fact still remains that there will be some people who will still buy knock offs, and others who won't. That's life. If the show was so horrible or offensive why continue to watch? Everyone who viewed the show made a choice to do so. Why sit and constantly complain about it afterwards? It is amazing how although there is so much other stuff in the world that needs to be complained about there are people posting messages about a talk show discussing fake hand bags. Get a life. I thought that the show was pretty good (The portion that I saw). Keep up the good work Tyra and don't sweat the negative comments. Then again I am sure you are use to some people always having something negative to say. You can't please everyone. So don’t even try.

Hi Tyra Show fans. I'm a fashion design student and I come from a family of purse fanatics- and I'll be the first to tell you, I'M A PURSE ADDICT!! Just wanted to share a quick tibit with you, if you're buying a purse (like Coach) from it's store or an authorized retailer (like Macy's for example) it's for real. Most designer bags have ceratin markings that the fake ones won't have, so all I can say to you is if you're unsure do the research. BEWARE of online retailers, if it sounds to good to be true it probably is. Happy shopping everyone! :-D

Hi Tyra, I missed the show about fake bags. Almost all my bags are caoch and I only buy them from the coach store. Can they also be fake coming from the coach store? Please get back to me I love Coach & spend a good amount on it every now & then. TX:IL "NYC-MIA"

The comment she made about the COACH bag is false. I have that same bag in 'khaki' and it has the leather strap down the center. I purchased it directly from the COACH store.

TYRA!!! I love your show! I think you have taken talk shows to a whole new level. But I must admit that the lack of Latino/a, Actors, Singers, Panel, is a bit sad. I would like to see you have a show celebrating Latino members of Hollywood or our communites, or both. September would have been a great month becasue it was Hispanic Heritage month. But any month will do. It's definetly something you should consider. Smooches!

I just awted to say that I was working this weekend, when this young girl came in carrying a Chanel bag. Just like the one u were talking about. When I saw it the first thing that came to mind was fridays show, this one, with the spot a fake segment. When she opened the bag to retrieve her wallet I peaked to see if it was Pink or black inside, Guess what, FAKE!!! it was a little hard to spot the crooked lettering while she was holding it, but the Lining was definately something I remembered from the show. lol. TTYL, actually I'll c you on wedsnesday, wacthing ANTM.

i just had to comment on the fake purses segment of this show. i was flipping through the channels and i see this women describing the horrible consequences of buying fake or knock purses etc.
terrorism, drugs and child labor.
hmmmmm lets see. nearly every name brand item we spend hundreds of dollars for in the US is guess what... made in sweatshop conditions. i didnt catch this woman's name but for her to say that we should buy the 600$ vs the 45$ knock off because it wont support terrorism or child labor shows the ignorance and the hand in her pocket. companies from the gap to walmart, and all those fancy expensive purses were produced overseas under free trade laws from countries like china, twain and even on usa soil.
the only reason i'm taking the time to post this is to show my disgust in false information the the mass of people in America receive everyday. slap the word terrorism on it and we have a cause.
but what do i expect...
tyra is a role model for many young women across the globe and its sad to see a woman on the show who is so ignorant.
how about a show on clothing alternatives or sweat free companies?
where are the voices of strong women ?
think.

Hello, Tyra I am so proud of all of your sucess, always stay humble and prayerful and all will be yours. I am a 44 yr old diva grandmother who would love to be a guest with other diva grannies to show women of all shapes and sizes and color that being sexy really starts at 40 +. Tyra,
All I can say is, your "friend" is crazy, but at the same time I can relate to her (assuming she is a girl). We try so hard to look good-not for others but for ourselves- that we get the things that looks as close to what we are looking for; I know I do. I am a mother of one and I just can't afford to pay for one of those bags, but atleast I know what to look for whenever I have saved enough money to perchase one. Ha, Ha.:)
For now, I will continue to shop at target, Sears, Burlington Coat Factory, and find the cutest bags they got and "rock it"
Thanks Tyra,
Bye

Hey Tyra, i watched your show on finding the fakes bags out there and let me tell you i am a Coach FREAK! I also like to buy myself a little bit less expensive guess bag now and again. It is my secret passion to buy these bags. However after watching your show i decided to go through my bags i have collected over the years. (which btw i have decided i have too many and i will be giving the ones that i have not used for over 3 months to the Goodwill) so anyways back to the fakes. i was going through my coach bags and i was shocked to see that one of my favorite hobo coach bags was fake. i cant actually remeber where i bought it i usually only buy bags at the actually store the post exchange here on the base that i live on (yes they sell designer bags) or my local macy's (i think i might have gotten this one at macy's) but i was looking and on the inside of all of my coach bags there is the coach lable the i like to call it book in a purse my husband enjoys reading the fine lines inside lol. but i was soo upset because i know i paid over 500 dollars for this bag. so i immediatly got on the internet to do some investigating. and well yah it was a fake there were spots on the purse where the c's were cut off and it said that coach would never do it. I almost cried. lol. but your show was very helpful and if i had of watched it i would have never found that fake in my collection.. love the show tyra keep it up!

Hi Tyra,
I just wanted to disagree with the comments I saw stating that there is nothing wrong with buying a fake bag, because not everyone can afford the real thing. I am in school for a bachelor's degree in fashion design. As a designer-in-training myself, I can say that knock-offs not only show great disrespect for the designer, but most fake bags are produced in sweat shops. If you can't afford the real thing, then go buy another brand, such as Guess, that is a little less expensive. Don't steal from the designer.

Hi Tyra, I don't think it was such a good idea to have this topic for a show. Who cares if you're carrying the fake or the real deal? Everyone can not afford the real one and may not want the real one. You're regular 9-5 workers, like to look stylish too, and not be dumb enough to pay $2,000.00 for a Gucci bag.
