Hey Tyra,
I am 14 years old and let me tell you that I love your show, but I don't get to see it as much as I use to. I watch top model all the time though...anywho...
I watched the toilet tip thing and let me tell you that you are completely right!! Here are some more tips that I use in my school bathrooms that people smoke in and even in the public ploaces to.....I either put toilet paper to line the seat not the liners that are there for you to use, just toilet paper so you won't really have to touch it again. Or i squat and do what you said to, and when I am done and have to flush I don't want to get my hand all nasty from touching that thing so I use the bottom of my foot the shole part of my shoe. That way I won't have to touch it....smart thinkin right I told my friends that and they do it to.. I also carry around some germ-x everywhere I go in my purse and I think there is even some in my locker at school so I won't have to touch the sink handle things. So there are a few more tips that I use that I know would be helpful to you and I thought you might like to know. Anyway I love you and your show and keep doing what you are doing inspiring women and teenagers all over the place.
Love,
Kasey

Trya,
I watch your show all the time, and if I miss it at 9 in the morning, I'm upset. I try to catch in OXYGEN at 11 but I sometimes miss that too. Anyways I've been wanting to comment on your germs in the bathroom, squatting over the tiolet show for the longest time.
That show sickened me when I heard about all the women that goes in the bathroom with no shoes on. THATS GROSS!!! And worse of all the women that put their purses on the floor. HOW DISGRACEFUL!!! with all the money that they spend on their purse collection they should show a little more respect in their purse then to just drop it on the floor. As you can tell I'm a purse freak. I was reading your T-bits and I absoulely agree with your dislike of nowhere to put your purse. If I go in a stall and there's no hook on the back of the door, I'm holding on to my purse with one arm and with the other hand, I pull down my pants and panties and wipe all with one hand. I'm a germ freak, I can't take all that. I even wash my hands with my purse still on my arm if the sinks have water all over them and there's no little stand in front of the mirrors. Thank you for listening to my stupid little rant. I love your show because you talk about weird things that no one would and I totally agree with a lot of them.

Well, first of all, I'd like to start by addressing some of the things that has been said about Tyra on her own website:
If Tyra is SO fake and SO self-centered, why would you bother wasting your time by coming to her site and posting paragraphs and paragraphs of negativity? And why would you bothering watching her show enough to quote every single thing that she says? It seems to me like you're trying to make up for something missing in YOUR life by attempting slander her name. Secondly, and although I DO understand how you could interpret Tyra's always talking about her modelling experiences as conceitedness, once you stop hating everyone around you, you'll realize that she's just trying to relate to people by recounting her OWN experiences. And, after all, at the end of the day, it IS called 'The Tyra Show', and when it really comes down to it, the reason why it's so popular is because people care about HER and want to know about HER.
So, NOW. Onto the good stuff. =]
Tyra, you are an absolute inspiration, and though I'm sure you hear it every day, you really do make a difference. I think that you and your show dare to bring up many controversial topics that others would never dare to talk about. I was particularly impressed with the episodes you did about racial profiling and certain mental illnesses, because I feel that I, being both mixed (black and white) and suffering from several anxiety and depression disorders, am extremely misunderstood by the general population. I've struggled with it for a very long time and when I see shows like yours which attempt to explain them, I feel as if something is TRULY being done - not just for me, but for people like me. People just don't KNOW about these things, and many misconceptions exist as a result. On a lighter note.. keep on doing what you do, because SO many appreciate it. I don't even think you realize how much of a difference you've made.
If you read this, thank you!

Hey Tyra
My name is Nyasha (21), Im from Zimbabwe, here in Africa currently studying Psychology in South Africa. Just wanted to let you know that i really appreciate what you are doing for people who are overweight/obese and just people who are struggling with low self esteem.I have struggled with weight since i was a child and have attempted suicide 3 times. I am a strong supporter of your SO WHAT campaign. Im Overweight SO WHAT!!!! before it was hard for me to tell people what my weight was, but you helped me to get a piece of me that was missing back,i no longer think about killing myself. If you can have a show about African countries and their cultures would be great, its just that some parts of Africa are not as bad as how the media portrays it. If you could have a show on the positive things in Africa, it would help alot because i am tired of people asking me if i have a pet lion and if we still swing from tree to tree. Its sad and id like to see positive things being shown about Africa and its African children... Keep it real girl and keep on shining!
