Bradley Bayou is an award winning fashion designer who has gained widespread recognition for his ingenious combination of talent and timing. Bradley shares these great fashion commandments from his new book “The Science of Sexy.”

1. Thou shalt choose the right undergarments. The most common problem? Creating new bulges next to the ones you’re covering up.

2. Thou shalt choose the highest quality fabrics thou can afford. Buying cheap is like buying disposable clothing.

3. Thou shalt not force your figure into every style. Certain styles will never look good on you. Period.

4. Thou shalt use your skin to your advantage. A peek of flesh can instantly draw the eye straight to the spot you’re showing off-and away from a flaw you’re trying to conceal.

5. Thou shalt not buy big-tricket trendy items. If you look at somrthing and have to ask yourself, “Do I really think this will look good in two years?” it probably won’t.

6. Thou shalt select skinny fabrics and cuts. Fabrics that gently flow and drape over your body create more of a vertical line, making you seem slimmer.

7. Thou shalt ignore clothing tags-the fit is the thing. Generally speaking, if there are wrinkles in the fabric when you try it on, the garment is either too small or too big.

8. Thou shalt hall accessories. They divert from your flaws and are more affordable than clothes.

9. Prints and accessories must be in scale with the body. Little things on big people look ridiculous, and big things on little people look ridiculous.

10. Thou shalt wear the V-neck shape-it looks good on every woman. No matter waht shape or size you are, the V-neck will create the illusion of a slimmer waist.

Hello, your 'So What' show was helpful to a lot of people, but to me wieght is more than just a problem of sexy. At times I am completely confident with the shape of my body, then at other times I can't stand the way I look. But with me I am a 20 year old mother with a daughter that is almost a year old, and I am a type 1 diabetic. With the look of my body I've got the stetch marks, that I hate. The rest of me is just like it was when I graduated High School, my thighs are a little thick and the rub when I wear shows, and I've got the Pooch in my lower abdomen that is almost impossible to get rid of, and a little meat on the hips. That is all I really see a problem with in my looks. But medically, by my height and build, I should weigh less, about 30 pounds less, And excess weight makes it harder for a diabetic to control their blood sugar levels. This can cause several more problems and complications for me down the road. Is there any 'cheap' way to get rid of strech marks? I live in a town where there are not many jobs that pay good money are. It was also announced on live tv as the place to go to get away with murder.( The 80's on I think it was Bob Hope.) And it still is if you know people. Well thank you for listening.

I liked this episode alot..but personally i dont think that this would ever work for me..im too short and fat. I like how you try to do things to make people who dont look perfect feel better about themselves!

Tyra you do not make sence. You say one thing and do another.I watched your show today and you said you were proud of these dam curves.No you werent proud.

I saw on the internet and found that you lost 30 pounds!Man that really gives a negative image out that you were not happy with yourself.

Tyra if you want people thinking your fake or not please start saying the truth.You also act so different on top model and your talk show.

I asked my freind why don't you watch top model or your talk show? she said because she seems so fake and all the people on top model are soo skinney.what does that tell you?I am beginning to watch the other talk show hosts.

Dear Tyra,

I wanted to applaud you for your "So What" movement. The first time I remember hating myself for being fat I was in kindergarten. We had been weighed for some reason, and I came home crying because I weighed more than the other kids. The second time was when I was 9. We had moved to a new state and I thought all the kids would hate me because I was fat. I again went crying to my mom and went on my first diet. I wanted watermelon for my birthday instead of cake. From that time on I can't remember ever loving myself or not being on some sort of diet. I have been bulemic and bulem-arexic. I have been fat I have been thin. Currently I am 5'3" and 200 pounds. I go back and forth between being OK with that and wishing I could get my eating under control so I could be thin again. I am 32 years old and have an amazing 9 month old son. All I want is to love the skin I'm in, be healthy, and be a good role model for my child. Again thank you for being so outspoken about body image issues. Your "So What" movement has been helping me to move forward from my eating disordered, food obsessed past.

Dear Tyra, i like your show. only problem i have is that right after you tell people to love their bodies and how to embrace their flaws, an advertisement for diet pills comes on. I appreciate the message you're trying to get across, and realize you may not be able to control what is advertised, but i think it sends a mixed message.

Hi Tyra,

I'm 16 years old and a junior in high school. People always tell me that I seem truly and genuinely happy. My best friend told me the other day that I am flawless; not because I have no flaws, but because I embrace them and live with them. I love the fact that people think that and hopefully they might learn to embrace their flaws as well, but the truth is, on the out side nothing seems to be wrong with my body image, but to myself, all I can think about is the bad things.

I've always wanted to 'dress to my figure' (although I don't really have a figure) or whatever, but nowhere I look on the internet and none of the shows I watch talk about my figure. I am 5'0" tall and 90 pounds with a 26.5 inch waist and 31 inch hips. Boxy, short, and skinny, and I don't know how to fix it.

I've tried the get thin quick stuff to try and minimize my waist as much as possible so I get the allusion of being curvy, but it just wont work.

Please do a show or something that helps teenagers and young adults dress to that type of figure instead of the typical curvy 'average woman' figure. [Or maybe invent a hip grower thing.] I feel a little left in the shadows, and I'm sick of shopping in the girls department (everything is so pink and stiff).

Please help me!

I remember what you did for your show..can I confront you!!! and it was a girl that had a problem with your wardrobe...that MESS bother me your sooooooo!!!! fly mama..and what she made you wear was a disgrace and you know it to that was so cheap and floosey and tacky ETC...it can go on forever stay just the way you ARE YOU TEACH GIRLS TO LOVE THEMSELVES AND SKIN DON'T MEAN SEXY...KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

I watch your show everyday and I just love you. As a matter of fact, I'm watching one of your re-runs right now with Hilary Duff. Well, I need your advice. I'm going to this charity party for the Invisible Children Foundation and I have no idea where to get a great party dress that cost less. Ive been looking and looking and I haven't found any dress that will suit me. Im pretty tall 5'7, slim, a little curve at the waist, really tan =] yet I haven't been able to find a dress that suit my aspects! help me!!
