I am a 23 year old female from port elizabeth South Africa. My boyfriend keeps complaining about my weight, he has asked me to loose 10 kilos. when he met me i weighed 55 kilos and now im up to 65 kilos i would love to loose 10 kilos in one week but unfortunately i have a dead end job and i cant afford to go to the gym. could you please give me some tips on how to make me look good again. I've been thinking about anorexia alot but dont really want to go that rout because of my 6 year old daughter, so please help!!!!!!!!!

I have really gained a lot of weight over the past year due to taking steroids for medical issues. Now that i'm of of my meds no matter how much i try to exercise and count calories, i can not lose weight. Any suggfestions?

I think one should seek medical advice when trying to loose weight. One should check the amount of body fat u have. some of your weight maybe more muscle that u think and Muscle weights ALOT.
I think a valuable key to losing weight is wanting badly that u would dedicate youself to it and Your body telling/ crying out you that it needs it. attemping to loose weight wiether by excersie of diet doing when my body really feels like it is when it works most for me.

Just to give an idea that loosing weight is not an easy task. It is more than standing on the scale and see smaller numbers every day; it is a choice of changing lifestyle, changing your attitude. It is also a double edged knife. You can loose proportion of the real image of your body and go to extremes... It almost happened to me, nobody is excempt.

When I was in highschool, I used to lots and lots of exercise, and also I started eating like a king... I'm 5,1", and from being size 3, I jumped into a size 9 tight... My friends used to tell me to make me feel better about myself: "You are not fat... you are... strong". Of course I was!!! I had a very strong body, and I don't think they would ever call me fat, beacuse they were afraid of me punching them!! hahaha

I really didn't feel good about my self, beside I wasn't fat, I was very proportionate, and I learn how to hide those parts of my body I wasn't happy at all...

I got into Medical School, and I learned a lot about nutrition, I didn't have the time to keep my heavy exercise routine, either the time for eating as well... I sarted loosig weight... Size 9.. then 7...felt so good... size 5... kind o loose!!! WOW I was back to normal!!! That was about a size per semester or so... The compliments and the woo!! how good you look!! and the pleasure of getting out of the fitting room for a smaller size than you chose where like "ego boosters".

But at that time my mind was alredy twisted in just loosing weight... it was the time for extremely skinny sizes were at the apparels, and I wanted to fit on those!!

I put myself into a strict kind of healthy diet (modified my me), without telling anyone (no body saw me eating, and I never made it obvious) until I rushed myself to get into a size 3...

Then my boyfriend at that time broke up with me... I thought that he broke up with me because I wasn't skinny enough!!!! so then I kept the count down...1... then 0!!!! It was more of a pound every three weeks, then a pound every 2 weeks... I had my plan and my timeline for weight, for body mass index, until I reached the 18... that was my goal, thank God I never reached it!!! I felt happy with myself, but my hair was falling, my skin was dry, I was in a very unstable mood, I got respiratory and intestinal infections all the time; making harder the intense study for medical school that it demands... And somehow, I still wanted more... I used to find myself comparing with every single girl around me and even when I knew I was skinny and the thinnest there, I still felt kind of chubby. I started eating less than I was already eating and less and less, I tried to hide it also, but that started being obvious to everybody...

I think I'm a lucky girl. My friends and my family always kept an eye on me. In the beggining they knew there was something going on... I was somehow loosing weight, but they didn't know how. Some of them thought I was bulimic. Thank God I didn't get into that.
They started noticing changes in me and they were worried. My sister which is a psychologist, spotted my problem on time: I was loosing proportion of my own self and I was about to fall in a serious problem. She talked to me, asked me questions... I realized then I had a problem... I knew it before, but I was in denial...

It is pretty scary that I knew scientifycally all the changes I was going through, and how to make them possible in the least harmful way; and how I also found the perfect medical explanation to give when I was asked about my weight.

I really don't know how it happened, but everybody started telling me more often than before, that I was already too skinny, that those new pants I bought doesn't fit me anymore, that I looked sick, that I should to something about my weight, that I should go to the doctor... and some of them even bought food for two and ate with me... to see me eating.

I don't know if I really looked that different, or what happened, but I'm happy that I have angels around me that care about me... because I wasn't carying my self anymore at that time...

About a year before I finished medical school, I was back to a pink-colored face, with little nice hairs on my scalp (hehe) and to my healthy look again... I was cheerful as I used to be and I got life back. It was like going from winter to spring!

Two years after that, I'm still skinny, but now I keep myself eating healthy, a real balanced diet, and walking 30 mins every other day. I keep my arms strong with the weight of my books and laptop that I have to carry everyday with me... hahaha

I was close to get into more serious problems, but I was saved on time.

I hope my experience typed down in this blog will help someone, that, like I was, is about to cross the thin line of being alife or becoming an skeleton walking around with what life is left on it.

If you don't like yourself, or something about yourself, first, try to find out what is pushing you to think that way about you. If you are planning to loose weight, don't hide like I did, get the support of the people that really cares about you. Get a healthy lifestyle, exercise, good food, some indulgements and what not.

In the end, we all are like a gift boxes. What matters is inside, the wrap, is only the wrap, it will be thrown away at some point.

Hey Tyra...well im 17 years old and i weigh about 150 pounds!!! It's pretty NASTY!!! I've been pretty chubby since about 4th grade. I've been wanting to loose weight but it never seems to work??? I want to start by saying how much i love your show. I honestly don't know how you do it, you have such confidence and when watching your show I belieev every word you say. I'm 15 years old and I have been struggling with my weight since I was 12 years old. When I was little I happy confident and thought the world of myself. Then I was rapped by my mom's live in boyfriend and my life crumbled. I have found myself in a cycle of binging/purging, restricting and starving. I was watching your show today "addicted to thin" when I was in 8th grade I bought adderoll from some random person online and I took it having no idea if thats what it actually was. I am a smart girl, all honors classes but for some reason when it comes to my body i would do anything, no matter how dangerous to achieve results that I want. What you said though, about it being the lasy way out your absolutly right. i felt ashamed because you are my idol and I want to be nothing less than perfect just as you are. In the past 3 years I have tried everything to look like the girls on America's Next Top Model (my favorite show) but nothing I do works. I'm 5'7" and 149lbs and I look horrible, it's unexplainable. What hurts me the most is that I am knowingly hurting myself but still not getting any results. I just want to thank you for doing so many weight loss shows and i know that there are other girls like me who because of you will think twice before doing something harmful to their bodies. I was wondering though, do you think you could maybe do a show on a really truly affective diet plan for tennagers? I feel as though I'm between a rock and a hard place. I starve myself for a month, lost 20 lbs then the minute i start taking care of myself and eating over 1000cal a day i gain back the weight i lost and then I go back into starvation mode. I'm confused, frustrated and desperate for help!

I'm 24. I've been fat my whole life, even as a child. Recently I've started eating healthy and exercising. I've cut down on my carbs and nearly cut out all sugar. I just eat less. If I'm really hungry I eat vegetables, I've started looking at food as just food, not a comfort. I do spoil myself occasionaly still though. I exercise a lot, but it's really not that hard. Get on my bike for a 15 minute ride, I lift arm weights for 5 minutes a few times a day. I walk everywhere if I can. I dance in the shower and when I'm cooking. I just let myself have fun. I have lost so much weight in only a few months people do double takes. And I've done it in a healthy way. I feel so good about myself, and it's affected every part of my life. I love it. I love my life and myself now.

It really is that easy if you just try.

Hi Tyra Im 21yrs. And I have two children i use to weigh 120 and now i weigh 155 I'm trying to get my legs look slim and sexy. My main problem is my upper arms they are very fat. And I dont know what to do. I dont have time to go to the gym often what can i do. I feel like each arm weighs 15 pounds each.

All of you don't know how good it is to hear so much about being overweight or tips on how to help in loosing the weight. Thank you. Tyra thank you for doing so many shows on weightloss. There was a book featured in your website about a month ago and I can not tell you how much I want that book. Because it was all about changing up your diet 2 days out of everyweek. I am 260 and actually only gained the weight since I got married 5 years ago. I was 165 when I got married, and well I married a man that is a great cook and then I had 2 beautiful little girls. bUt it just seems so hard to loose the weight, and I get embarrased if we go out to eat because I feel like people are staring at me. I would love to lose and be back to 165, that was a good weight for me. I love curves just not the amount I have.

Tips I were told weren't specificly for dieting but tips you could use when ever you're eatting. It's as simple as eatting with your posture straight up as how any one should sit because you end up eatting 10% less and after eatting your meal keep your sitting posture straight for at least half an hour which will help you digest easily. Also before you eat drink a full glass of water because it prevents you from having 10% less of an appetite.

First and foremost I want to say congrats on your show, it has been a tremendous help to many.

Secondly, I am an aspiring model and participated in local fashion shows and even tried a pageant. My thing is all my life I was very slim up until the age of 19 when I graduated from college I weighed only 120lbs. Withing a few months I went up to 149lbs and it was the worst time of my life. Usually it would take me 2weeks to gain a pound and now it's taking me months to lose it.

I wanted to model from I was 5years old and my mother kept saying no, not until after I graduate; the thing is due to the weight I gained my stomach was not as firm and i'm now being considered "fat". My goal is to get to atleast 125 or 130lbs but it's very hard for me to lose the pounds. What should I do?

my best advice for dieting is just to drink 8-10 glasses of water a day. not only does it burn around 300 calories, but it speeds up your motabalism and improves your skin and your eyes. also i recomend eating organic foods...it won't really help you lose weight, but it really makes you thik about what your putting into your body.

Anyway i saw your show today with the whole diet wars and I think that it is great that you have these on your shows. I am 21yrs old, a mother of 1 living away from all my family and friends. I am pretty much in the same situation as Mary (from Oz) too. I have such low self esteem about myself and i notice that this has stopped me from socializing with my friends even effects my relationship every now and again. I wasn't the skinniest of people before I had my boy but to me i was the perfect size. Now all i see is scars and over hanging skin. Everytime I start a diet or try to commit to something another thing comes up whether it be money wise etc... I guess i just really want to know how I can motivate and help myself without relying on other people to keep me going with it. I would love to hear back from you!! That would be soo good!!

I'm from Australia and love the show. I watch it whenever i can. I've decided to send you this after your diet wars show. I'm currently 19 yrs of age and a single mum. I took my body for granted and though i might model but childbirth changed all that. The story is, I grew up in South Africa and moved to Australia in 2003, 14yrs of age and pregnant. A totally different world, all i knew was my aunt and uncle who I was told I would live with for about six months and id only talked to them over that phone. I wont bore you with all the details, what matters now is i have a daughter, shes what makes my world go round, aurora is her name. What I would like your help with though, as I was so tiny when i got pregnant, everything got really streched out and im stuck with stretch marks everywhere, mainly my tummy, breasts, thighs and legs. This never bothered me but has been on my mind for the last year. I dont do much physical activity, which i know i should but its just so hard to get started, i lack motivation and need help with my confidence. As a result of this i never wear shorts, tight tops, go out with my freinds as I feel so ugly and out of place because everyone else looks so pretty. I would like to get advice from you about what you would do in hte same situation. Im in another continent so obviosly i dont expect to be called onto a show or anything but would like some advice.

i am 13 years old and i am struggling with weight isues i am not overweight but i am a little chubby and i would like to be more fit and skinnier i have never been popular in school but when i get attention i run away from it because i am scared of people noticing me and my flubbery body please help me!

My diet tip is to eat only when you're hungry. It really works! I've lost 29 pounds doing so. You also have to stop eating when you're full instead of being stuffed. It's the idea of eating within hunger and fullness that I've seen a lot of people that are thin do on a regular basis. Since I want to be thinner, I did this and it worked for me.

There no secret when it comes to weight loss no magic diet or magic pill. It just takes commitment and motivation. Here are some healthy tips that can take off any where from 1 to 5 pounds a week.

1) Protein-protein is your friend, it protects your lean muscle mass. Muscle helps your body to burn fat at a quicker rate. (even when you're sleeping) So make sure you are getting plenty of lean protein (turkey, chicken, fish).

2) Eat five small meals a day that include one protein, one carb and one veggie. Keep these meals small say a cup of oatmeal and 3 egg white. This keeps your metabolism going strong all day.

3) Eat your last meal 3 hours before bed and DO NOT EAT AFTER THAT. This way your body can burn those calories before you go to sleep.

4) Limit excess sugar or cut sugar out completely. Eat breads that are whole wheat or multi-grain.

5) Never starve yourself. This puts your body in starvation mode causing your body to hold on to your fat because it does not know when it will be fed again. It also can cause your hair and teeth to fall out due to malnourishment. A steady metabolism actually burns more fat than starvation.

6) Love yourself no matter what size you are and lose weigt simply because you want to be healthy.

i have been struggling with my weight for a while. im not obese and i love my body but thatt is until i see all of my tall and skinny friends. i am usually so thick skinned and dont let things get tto me and i try focusing on the good parts of my body, not on the bad. i work out a lottt and try to eat healthy. i am also on my schools basketball and lacrosse team. i love to shop but sometimes it gets so frustrating when there is something that i realllllly want and cant wear it bc it doesnt look good on me. oh well. i have always wanted to go to a nutritionist. even though im from "beverly hills" my family has tons of expenses and all the people around here charge at leastt $125 per session, like 45 minutess. i work and make my own money but i feel like im wasting my money if i take that much to a nutritionist, just for 45 minutes!!! what do u think i should do?

Your talk show is really the only "talk show" I watch when I'm home. This diet issue with teens bothers me alot. I have a teen daughter too. Starving yourself to lose weight is the worst way to diet. If you only drink water as your beverage of choice, cut out the word "sugar" and eat right (1 serving of fruit, veg, meat/meal), this is a good start to any diet. I would not let my daughter go on any diet til she turned 16. She weighed 150lbs. She is 18 and is 130, 5'7 and a size 4-6. She is glad she learned to eat right for herself and not because everyone around her told her she needed to lose weight.

How? you really have to try every morning i would wake up early before school and and run for about an hour (and u really have to push your self to the limit)my meals were not the healthiest and i would just skip out on dinner and every day instead of dinner i would buy myself a snapple tea and have that instead. my body fat started melting away. i had a baby 9 months ago and my boyfriend just loves my body and i havent been in this kind of shape ever! everybodys looking for a magic cure and its not just out there you really have to put your mind to it and do it!

I know there are a lot of diets out there, and most of us are truly frusterated over each one of them. I am 26 years old, almost 27, and 5'6". A year and a half ago I weighed 145lbs. I was happy with that weight, and stayed very active. I have always had a ton of energy and I have a natural love of the outdoors, so that helps me stay active as well. Then I started dating my fiance, and, let me just say, contentment makes me fat. In a year and a half I gained 25-30lbs. We ate out all the time and never exercised. My heaviest was 173lbs. I decided not too long ago that I needed to lose the weight that I gained. So, I stared the southbeach diet and I've lost 12 lbs in 2 weeks. I feel so much better and have a ton more energy then I have had in the last year. The best thing about this "diet" is that I can actually eat; I don't have to starve myself. I highly recommend that everyone reads the southbeach diet book (it only costs around $10). It is really easy to understand and it's been the best dietary decision I've ever made!

Im 19 and had my first baby almost a year ago. He didnt make it so its harder for me to lose the baby weight. I was 155 - 165lbs before I got pregnant. Now I am 220-230lbs. I have been walking, running, and trying to eat healthy and nothing is working. My brother calls me a cow, and a whale. He even pokes at my tummy and says *whats this?*. All I want to do is get back to the size I was before, Which was a 9. Right now I am a 18. I dont even feel comfortable in a bikini so I wont go to the beach or even in my own backyard to the pool. I'm 16 years old and just had my first child. Hello Tyra and everyone else in the search for weightloss. I am 26 years old and I have started the book "The Weightloss cure" by Kevin Trudeau. It has changed my life and I have never been healthier and happier. You don't give up anything, you just eat natural or organic food and for the first 30 days you take a lot of vitamins to detox and clean out your body from all the chemicals that america puts in the food we consume. I have lost a pound a day so far and after the 30 days you will continue to lose the weight until you are where your body is supposed to be. You can even Cheat and eat whatever you want once a week. I have to eat 6 meals a day and I have not been hungry one time and I eat all the food I did before, it is just organic or natural. I live in a small town, so if I can do it by going to the grocery and farmer's market, then anyone can. I have a few tips for anyone getting in shape!
1. Drink Water!
Most people don't drink enough water! I know a woman near her 50's and she is in GOOD shape and she has a big jug of water with her at all times! So cut back on the soda and try a swig of h2o!

2. Eat fruits and vegitables! Enzymes found naturally in these foods can really help shed the pounds not to mention they're totaly good for you and filing!

3. Excersise! I hate excersise but I find ways to change it around so I don't get board. Fast walking, yoga, pilates, ice scating
and Tae Bo are some things I try.

I just wanted to share my tip on how to lose weight. I was once 165 pounds and now 140. All I did was eat alot of healthy (not to much fatty) foods. Also I worked out for 1 hour and 30 minutes EVERY MORNING! It has been proven that you lose more weight when you work out in the mornings.

After I graduated, I started on the depo shot for birth control, and I blew up and gained 25 pounds in two months, and though I'm no longer on the shot I have been unable to loose the weight. I met my husband in high school when I only weighed the 96 lbs, and though he says that he loves my body I can't help but feeling like this isn't true, because I'm not the girl he fell in love with. I good diet is a sustainable diet. I've learned through years of trying to maintain my weight that watching what you eat plus exercise will keep you in good shape. To stay fit, I take a fruit for breakfast, like an apple or orange. For lunch, I make sure I eat portions of protein, fiber and carbohyrate contained foods. I eat fish and chicken most of the time and only eat pork or beef once or twice a week. For dinner, I take a healthy salad plus protein in controlled amounts. For dinner, I don't eat anything with carbo or starch. I go to the gym at least 3 times a week and try to stay very active like having a walk during lunch break. The thing that really worked for me is cutting off carbo at night. In 2 months, I lost 10lbs because of this plus hitting the gym.

hi tyra, well im going to be 16 and i weight 157 lbs. the doctor said i was overweight that i had to loose at least 40 lbs. but im scared to do a diet on my own i need some advice please. thank you.

Lately I have been doing pilates and it works wonders. Honestly its only been a week and ive already lost almost all of my love handles, my thighs have gone down and my stomach is flat. But unlike other people I work myself hard. I do six 3 tapes a day 2 times. So I start at 1:00 in the afternoon and i do my abs, buns and thighs, and body sculpture and hten at 5:00 or maybe even 10:00 in the afternoon I would repeat the same thing. But thats not all. About a week before that i started this no sugar diet and no whites so that means no white bread, white rice, white flour, etc. then make sure most not all of your foods are orgnanic, drink pletty of water and stay dedicated.
P.S. The tapes that i do are called Winsor Pilates tapes and the instructer is Mari Winsor

i have one VERY big diet tip. dont do it. IF your idea of a diet is to suddenly change your eating habbits. you have to take it gradual, and if you ever get the munshies (which is when your on 24-7 junk food watch) drink a lot of water instead. i am only 14, but you'd be AMAZED by what i've gone through wieght-wise. ugh, its horrid. but, im still learning to love and except myself. and oh, it does help not to eat too much after sun down, that way your body has time to get through the food you ate in the day. So try to have dinner a little around 6 ish. i just had to add that because here in my house, we eat till like, 10.

hey tyra! well, let me start off by saying that you don't have to be skinny to be beautiful and to get all of the guys.I'm 13 years old and I'm 5'5. I also wiegh about 120 ponds. I love my body and i don't care what other people say about me. All that really matters is what's inside of you and always be true to yourself.

I'm fourteen years old, I'm 5' 3'' [just barely] & I weigh 120 pounds & I love it.
At one time, I weighed 160 pounds [on a good day] & I was very self-concious. Recently, I started eating three meals a day & two snacks, nothing after dinner, & making sure I got a healthy 2200 calories a day. I started walking through my 'hood for at least an hour a day [until I was used to it enough to run]. Also, it's important to avoid trans fats because they're REALLY unhealthy. I began taking Chromium Pilocante every day, which is a pill/vitamin that burns fat, controls appetite, & is good for your skin & hair. I drank LOTS of water with lemon juice because the lemon also eats away at body fat. As I implied before, I've lost quite a bit of weight & I've never been more confident. [:
A friend of mine nicknamed me "Stubby" & at first, I hated it, but now I love it. I know I'm healthy now, which is all that matters.
For all the girls out there going into high school [like me! freshman open house is tonight WHATWHAT!] or even middle school, confidence really is the sexiest thing to a guy. Most guys don't need the skinniest girls ever, but showing that you care enough about yourself to take care of yourself says a lot & is more attractive than looking like a toothpick.

I am not fat but i am also not the skinniest person in the world. luckily for me, i do not look like someone who weighs 120-125 pounds because my body is well portioned. I never had a problem with my weight until I started going to a new school in grade 5. At my old school, I was always the smallest, the skinniest and the most envied. But when I started attending the new school, I was no longer any of those. I started going on 'diets'. My diets were water and celery. I would loose weight but when I would just feel confident again, I would just gain it back. I just graduated grade 8 and I've resorted to skipping meals for drugs and alcohol. But i dont have an secret, but i am in a program called Alli. I think its great, i already lost it total of 5 pounds in just 2 weeks. I know there are some people that disagree on diet pills but this one is different. It helps you loose 50% more than dieting alone. It also shows people how to eat properly and they actually have a lot of healthly recipes. This brings a pocket size books that you can read. They even show to fast food restaurants calories and fat they have. You can actually eat somethin healthy at McDonalds. I think this is an great plan, it actually works!

well i dont know the perfect diet to do, but i know work outs that can help SHAPE you into a more healthy person.

first off make sure you do cardio
-running
-walking
-sports
anything that gets your heart rate up

then start from bottom to top...


YOUR INNER THIGHS
-do squats with your feet facing out and NOT STRAIGHT!
do maybe 20 to start out and build up from there everytday

THE BACKS OF YOUR LEGS AND BOOTAY!!
-use a chair to hold on to
slightly bend one of your legs your going to stable yourself with and with the other leg flex your foot (( where its flat and not pointed)) and raise it as high as you can go with out leaning forward
(( make sure to squeez the booty when you go up :] )) and lower after 2 seconds
KEEP REPEATING about 20 times

BUTT AND OUTSIDE OF LEGS
--lay on the ground on your side
-raise and lower your leg as high as you can with out moving your posture
THIS ONE BURNS BUT IT WORKS WITHIN THE FIRST WEEK OR SO!!
after do maybe 15 pulse until you cant anymore

FRONT OF LEGS
-stand straight with your hands on your hips and lift leg in front of you and pulse about 20 times
then switch legs

MID SECTION
LOWER ABS
-lay down and raise legs striaght up (( you can fold your knees if it helps)) and raise your butt up and make it seem like your feet are putting footprints on the roof

ANOTHER WAY
--make your belly button feel like its trying to stay in... like your pushing it down into the ground and do sit ups... MAKE SURE you feel it down low and not your upper abs

A THIRD WAY
lay flat on your back and raise legs up and down WITHOUT letting your butt rase up (( keep belly button pushing down to the ground))

MID AND UPPER ABS
- sit ups

O-BLEEKS**
-lay on your side and do side sit ups


ARMS
for the jiggilies under your arms when you wave
-get 3 lbs weights or 5 lbs and WITH A WEIGHT IN BOTH ARMS AT THE SAME TIME
bend your elbows (still pointing up as high as they can) make just your elbows bend and your hands go high and low (( make sure you arent holding the weights tight and let your muscle do the work ))
ALSO DONT MAKE YOUR SHULDERS GO UP BY YOUR NECK..LET THEM GO LOSE LIKE YOUR HANDS
after, pulse it for as long as you can stand it
**TIP** when you hold the weight make sure your thumb IS NOT on the same side as your other fingers

BICEPTS
-keep your elbows next to your side and lift and lower your hands... once again making sure you arent holding the weight tight... make your muscle do everythign

DOUBLE CHIN
-make a really excited face where your showing your teeth... squeez your chin muscles together and hold for about 3 seconds each time 20 times

AND FOR THOSE LOVELY LOVE HANDLES
-get a towl
roll the towl so that its long and thin enough to hold
-hold the towl so that your arms ARE NOT close to your ears... kind of like a cheerleaders HIGH V stand
-raise above your head and ***without moving your head*** lean your upper body to the left, and as you come up squeez the muscles
--pause for a second and go to the right and do the same

WHILE YOU DO ALL OF THIS MAKE SURE YOU CAN FEEL THE MUSCLE YOUR TARGETING WITH EACH WORKOUT

** TIP **
when your working with the weights make sure you dont squeez it with your hands... let your hands feel lose and the muscle your working with lift everythign

ALWAYS SQUEEZ THE MUSCLE YOUR WORKING TOO!!!


and as always eat healthy
HIGH PROTINE and LOW CARB diets show fast results but make sure you work out with that kind of diet.

or a LOW CALLORIE diet can maybe do the trick

drinking a bottle of water before a meal will help make you fuller faster
and if you eat slower it will also make you fuller faster
**it takes 20 minute for your stomach to know your full**

the best foods to eat when you have those cravings are
ALMONDS and PEARS
they make you full fast instead of eating a meal

WHEN YOU RUN

did you know that when you run and you want to quit after the first 2 minutes, its actually your body switching from the food in your stomach to the stored fat on your body!!
so dont quit when you run

also the slower you run the more callories you burn
but if you want to build muscle by running you have to run fast

its best to burn 500 callories a day
to lose 1 pound you have to burn 2500 callories!!!!

just make sure you dont starve yourself!
when you starve yourself, the next thing you eat will put fat on yourself because it doesnt ever want to go hungry again so it will store anything as fat!


ALSO IF YOU HAVE YOUR FAMILY SUPPORT YOU AND GO ON A DIET WITH YOU, OR A FRIEND THAT CAN DO IT WITH YOU, IT WILL HELP YOU STAY ON TRACK!
LET YOUR FAMILY KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING SO THEY DONT BUY THE TEMPTATING FOODS THAT YOU WILL WANT TO RUN TO FIRST.

let me tell you how great you'r show is.iam 19 years old and i weigh 230 lbs.i constantly put myself down,sometimes i won't even eat because iam too big.i use to be very very skinny well thats before my mother passed away in 1997. ever scence than i just eat when im bord and when im depressed. i tried walking everyday but i just give up too easy.music is my motivation and my ipod broke so i TRY to eat healthy but that is very hrd to stick wit it...is there any advice or anything you can do to help me?!?!??!?

I watched the diet wars on your show and all of the diets consist of fresh fruits. I am allergic to about 98% of fresh fruits! I am allergic to the citric acid in them. I have grown up on canned fruit and I wanted to know what tips or ideas do you have to help me lose the weight with boring canned fruit? I am a 28 year old single mom of 2 girls and have gained about 30 lbs since my 1st child ( yrs ago! I am still shapley but have a massive amount of cellulite on my lower body and big "nana" arms. I have a big problem about losing weight my mom tells me im fat and the worst part of it i just broke up with my boyfriend for a year and a half and he told me if i was skinnier then he wouldnt have broken up with me. hi Tyra, I love your show I am actually watching your show right now lol..I didn't know it comes on this late its great. Will the episode that I am watching is when you are talking about your weight. I think you look beautifull the way you are. But as for me I am 5'5 I weigh about 135 I have never weiged this much I know its not alot but when your family and friends see you all the time at a 120 weight, they can obviously tell. I thought I looked alright but being told all the time that I'm getting fat can get to me I was just wondering if you had any tips to share. I have a general idea of what I should and shouldn't be eating every day. I've found that, for me, the key to getting slimmer is exercise. I do yoga, pilates, and spinning. Luckily, I'm one of those freaks that loves to exercise.

-Walk! You need to walk every single day and by measuring on a pedometer, you need to have the minimum of 10,000 steps a day. -You need to drink plenty of water. At least 64oz. -Throw out any bad food you havecleansing plus then it's not there for you to eat.
