I'm not exactly sure how this board turned from Catherine Mcphee's breasts to the women who hate gay people, but if God intended men to be with women then why did he create gay people. Also, i'm not heavily christian or anything but i do believe God's intent is for everyone to love each other deep inside but at the same time he intended for us all to have our own opinions.

I'm so glad to see that other Christians have stepped up to defend what real followers of Christ are like. Im a guy in college so tyra's show isnt really for me, but when it came on after the today show and i heard what those women were saying and saying it the name of God, i was desgusted. It only take those three women to ruin the face of Christianity. There are so many ways to point out how they are wrong and for the sake of time and the risk of carpel tunnel i will refain from all of them. The most obvious problem with there arguement is that they are taking the idea of punishing homosexuals by death from the old testament. let me stress the OLD part. all of the ideas and beliefs in the old testament are from before the new covenant was formed, a.k.a Jesus Christ came. Technically those woman are jewish because they seem to only believe in the old testament and the fire and brimstone part of the new testament. the second is the simple observation of how angry they are in their attempt to spread the gospel. the idea of Christianity is live a Christ-like life. now how do you think it would have gone over if Jesus tried spreading his word in the same manner these women are? not well! thats my arguement in a nutshell but i think its enough to show that those women were dillusional in their view of what Christianity is. thank you for reading (if anyone has) and thank you to the other Christians who have defended their faith. and i hope these women have not scared others away from Christianity.(we are actually nice people, not stuck up like you would think) Brit, 19, CO

Annette, I completely agree with you. Instead of hatin' on sinners (which is everyone-not just homosexuals), why don't they spread God's love! God is just and when we sin, there are consequences, but he is LOVING first and foremost.

I just had to comment on the show you had about bloggers confronting contraversal guests which appeared on your show recently. It was quite alarming and an eye opener for me to see such hatered being spread among 'sisters' in Christ. It was definaltely apalling and I am ashamed of how those guests on the show acted toward gays and the people in the audience. I really want to start by saying I apologize for their actions. The Bible does speak clearly about sin however, God is not only a God of wrath and judgement, He is also a God of love and forgiveness. He loves us unconditionally but hates sin. He gives us a free will to choose our lifestyes. And yes it does breaks His heart when we do sin against Him and we do reap the consquences from our own choices. God loves us so much that He is willing to forgive our sin when we earnestly repent. I feel that the Phelps, when their focus was on the book Romans in the Bible where they talk about sin and the wages of sin, they needed to do more research in order to be effective witnessing tools in leading people to salvation. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23. We are not here to pass judgement on people nor condemn them for their lifestyles. It is a spititual battle between good and evil..."For we restle not against flesh and blood but against pricipalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spritual wickedness in high places." Eph. 6:12. In the New Teatamnet Jesus sat among sinners and many were saved under his ministry. One of my favorite passage in the Bible was when the high priests and the people catches a woman in the very acts of adultry. The law clearly states that such a woman is condemned to die through stoning. When they brought the woman before Jesus they boatsly tells him what the charges were and asked him what did he think. Jesus wrote something in the sand with no response. So eagar to put away this sinful woman, they continue to ask him; then Jesus stood up and answered "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." Then Jesus stoop back down to write in the sand some more. When they heard these words they were quickly convicted and one by one left leaving only the accused woman to stand alone. Jesus stood back up and ask the woman where were her accusers. She resoponded none. Then he tells her "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more"...John 8:1-11. We must love the person but hate the sin. It is easier said than done. We often forget what a mess we were before we became saved. God forgave us in our mess now we must tell others that God loves us inspite of. The difference between a believer and a non-believer is that a believer is just a sinner saved by God's grace. I also wanted to respond to the statement brought up by the mother about the 9-11. It wasn't just sinners that were killed in those twin buildings, there were also believers of the faith and innocent children as well killed. I also believed that there is something deeper underneath that gay lifestyle which why many feel to live that way. It could be a past hurt or abuse which lead them to that livestyle and they want to be loved and accepted. Yes we are living in a nation in which chaos and turmoil is at every turn. But it is up to us as believers to fast, pray, keep the faith, and lead others to Christ. We have alot a work ahead of us. But God promise us great rewards when we obey. He give us conditions; but it's up to you. "If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray; and will seek my face and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." II Chronicles 7:14. The choice is yours...what would you choose?

hi tyra,i am a proud christian. and i saw the phelps show i think that they might have misrepresented what christians believe. not every person in 911 deserved to die the way they did. but all together wew are 1 country and 1 people.we all suffer for the things that our counrty does. there were firefighters who died that were trying to save the lives of the others. but god did intend for men to be with women. it says so in the bible.

I just watched your show with the Phelps women on and I could not believe what I was hearing coming out of their mouths. It is people like the "mother" that is causing this world to go crazy. I wonder is she realizes or cares that there are gays over in Iraq that are fighting for the freedom of all people including her, so that she can have the freedom to speak they way she does. I was also mortified about what she said concerning 911. Children lost parents, parents lost children, sisters lost brothers, brothers lost sisters etc etc. A question for her would be, Maybe this was the work of the devil, ridding the world of good, kind, God loving people. If I were you, maybe I would bring her back on the show and have her face the people who lost loved ones in 911 and have her tell them that their loveds ones were doomed to hell. Wonder what would happen then.
Just a quick note on Katherine Mcphee, the tabloids could not find anything trashy to write about her, so they pick on her breasts. Makes you wonder who the "nuts" are, the people who write these stories or the people who buy and read them. lol. Keep up the good work Tyra, I enjoy your show, you are so down-to-earth, just the "gal next door".

ok love. This might hurt but.. the boy is never going to like you the way you like him! I went though the same thing when i was your age. They are boys. you are 13 you have your whole life ahead of you. The boy i "fell" for said he wanted to grow up and be a director.. now you know what he does? lives with his parents at 22 and is heavy into drugs... I moved on after years of trying to get him to like me love me be with me forever. Then I graduated high school and we parted ways thank God too I met a far greater man were I work and married him... just last month. Love,I know it's amazingly difficult to get over him, but you can do it! maybe he wont turn out like my "crush" did don't waste your teen years on a boy not worth it! you are only young once! Go out and do something for you that you love tennis drama anything! maybe if you just be you instead of trying to change you he'll notice you.. then you can turn him down!

Dear Tyra,
I just watched a show with some crazy gay hating lady and her daughters. The Bible says "Judge not lest ye be judged" Which brings me to my reason for writing. I owe you an apology. Before I got cable in my bedroom I would cringe when the Tyra Banks show came on. I mean who wants to watch some beautiful spoiled model talk about stupid stuff. What does she know?
However one day when my grand daughter was sick I couldn't move her to get the remote when you came on. I saw a beautiful woman who seems to be lovely from the inside out. Please forgive me for judging and keep up the good stuff. I watch you whenever I can and I still have cable. Oh yeah I don't write to T.V. shows either. That might be silly lol. Sincerely
