Getting Tested for HIV
Tests commonly used to detect HIV infection look for antibodies produced by your body to fight HIV. Most people will develop detectable antibodies within 3 months after infection, the average being 20 days. In rare cases, it can take 6-12 months.
Places that offer HIV testing include local health departments, private doctors' offices, hospitals, and sites specifically set up to provide HIV testing. It is important to get tested at a place that also provides counseling about HIV and AIDS. Counselors can answer any questions you might have about risky behavior and ways you can protect yourself and others in the future. In addition, counselors can help you understand the meaning of the test results and tell you about AIDS-related resources in your area.
CDC-INFO can answer questions about testing and can refer you to testing sites in your area 24 hours a day, call 888-232-6348. You can also search www.hivtest.org for a list of sites in your area.

hey tyra, my name is barbara im 16.i know this is off topic but i post my wish in where because the other topic is full(what you always wanted to do) .my wish is to be a actress thats want i wanted to be since i came to america.im not in to the whole hollywood thing i just wanna be a actress thats all.it some thing that love soo much.i want to take acting class but my parents dont have that much money because i have other brother and sisters who want to be actors and actress.im orginally from africa.ive been to throught much.i use to live in a refuge camp.use was hard.and i love you so much because you do so much for people and i pray that god bless you with all good things in life.and i look up to you so much.and thing is i thing that im not a pretty girl because i have a big nose which i hate to much i wish i could get a nose job.i kinda have low selfesteem.i dont feel combertable around pretty girls because they get lots of looks from guys and i dont i just wanna be pretty for once in my life i wanna feel good about myself.i remeber when one two my friend use to call me ugly in front of my face and i use to guy a lots but im tryin to be stronger.
