Tyra's Signature

ok hey Tyra your awesome i love your show & im in love with you :]
so i have a question, i have huge bags under my eyes with these wrinkles and im 13.
also when i curl my hair, my tip is that since u shouldnt wash it because it gives u that shine, u should put simple moisturizing lotion in your hair, it sounds gross at frist its sticky then it dries and leaves u with those bouncy, soft, good smeeling curls/waves

Hello, of course I came to visit your site and thanks for letting me know about it.
I just read this post and wanted to say it is full of number one resources. Some I am familiar with. For those who don’t know these other sites they are in for a treat as there is a lot to learn there.

Hey Tyra,

I have a very old fashion mom (I'm in middle shcool)
I have a lot of blackheads. What should I do to get rid of them?

my beauty secret is to ALWAYS wear a sunblock!!everyday!!rain or shine. it will prevent wrinkles!!and it will insure that you don't look 60,when you are 30!

Hey! thanks So much for all of the wonderful tips!love them! love Carolina

beauty tips huh?
i've noticed most people want to know how to get good skin, soooo:

1. you've heard it 1000 times before but drink lots of water! seriously!

2. exfoliate. everything. everyday. just make sure you moisturize your face afterwards or your skin can dry out something chronic.

3. DO go out in the sun. it's good for your skin, vitamin d! but don't spend too long in it. especially not if you're sun baking. burning is bad! and if you do burn, you should get some after sun cream on your skin straight away.

4. don't wear foundation. i know if you have bad skin you probably want to cover it up. don't. trust me, it just gets worse. let your skin breathe!

5. use a face/mud mask at least once a month. you know the ones i'm talking about...

6. don't wash yourself (especially your face) with soap. soap dries out your skin, which is no good. try using a shower gel/cream or a body bar.

7. other stuff:
pimples, you shouldn't pop them, really. though we all do, so you can overlook that, as long as you do it carefully. to reduce redness and swelling when you want to leave the house, put ice on the spot for awhile, then apply concealer. =]

lips always carry vaseline or lip balm with you. put it on all the time! it's good!

8. WATER! NO, SERIOUSLY!

well that's my 2 cents. hope i helped.

Hi,

I stumbled across this by accident. After an injury i started getting into crystals for healing and i came across a crystal called tourmaline. Whenever i searched for it on the net it brought up hair products like hairdryers with small tourmaline crystals, which i thought was strange. When i clicked on them they said that tourmaline calms frizzy hair. So i went out and bought a crystal and tried using it a little differently. I placed it in a small bowl with just enough water to cover it then left it for about half an hour and used the water on my hair after showering. It did help with frizz. I think the crystal does something to the ions in the water and changes its ph, which makes it more moiturizing. So i started using the water as a moisturizer as well. But if you're buying one make sure there aren't any other impurities on the crystal. Things like quartz are ok but you wouldn't want anything else like galena caus that contains lead which is poisonous.

tyra, i sweat a lot! and i find it really embarrassing when other girls can wear anything and everything when i can only wear certain things, i've hoped and prayed that it would go away, but it hasn't yet... i wish i knew how to make it go away!

what make-up to use??

Hello there:

I recently had my nails done in Florida, while vacationing, and this salon used a technique I was unfamiliar with here in NYC.

The Proprietor, after having used the powder as a filler, then placed my fingers under a UV Light which produced the most extraordinary shine I've seen to date! Even after returning to get my nails done in NYC/The Bronx, where I live,(2 weeks later), and them removing my nail polish, that shince was still to obvious on the nails.

Does ANYONE have the names of any nails places/salons that employ this technique, prior to the completion process of the polishing?

My nails never looked so amazing. I have very few personal indulgences, but my nails/hands are my pride.

Thanx.

~Robin~

Hi,
Somebody has suggested to use HYCLEAN cream for the face, as a beauty tip. This is a medical cream used to remove pigmentation. It is carcinogenic i.e. it has ingredients that can cause cancer. Read the enclosed pamplet. It has side effects and is to be used only under medical supervision.

To MADELYN (about sweaty hands, armpits etc.):

A skin specialist won't help. You should see an ENDOCRINOLOGIST. There's likely something wrong with your hormone levels & tyhroid. (Don't fret - it'll be alright. ;))

In the meantime, try applying baking soda to your armpits and pour some in your shoes. It's one of the most effective deodorants there is.

A word of warning, though: it might "burn" your skin if you use it alone and a lot. To avoid it, smear some jojoba oil (or any other odourless oil, it really doesn't matter) on your armpits first and THEN pat the skin with baking soda.

I wouldn't call these my "biggest" beauty secrets, but after reading some of the entries, I think they might be useful to people.

The first one is really simple and age-old, so it really shouldn't be a "secret" - but it seems it still is.

After you've washed and bathed, do NOT dry yourself with a towel - apply the cream of your choice while the skin is still WET.

You won't believe what a difference such a small change in your daily routine can make.

Against rash OR chapped skin: cream from goat milk.
There are ready-made goat milk creams, but I prefer to just buy a small carton of WHOLE goat milk, drink the contents and then go for the gold: the thick residue (cream) that is left behind in the container. I smear it on any skin blemish I might have at the time (I occasionally get allergic rashes) - or just aplly it on my face, neck and hands, then wait until it's totally dry and then wash it away.

(You could, of course, also use the milk for washing your face instead of drinking it.)

Its soothing AND moisturising qualities beat mos ready-made creams (and I've tried most of them).

hay,I have old hair styel and im alredy tierd of them and im all way using them and i need some new ones plz help!

Hello Tyra
I just wanted to stop in and tell you about what I do for my hands when they are dry. Being a baker my hands would get beyond dry (they would crack and bleed) from so much hand washing. I found that the pure lanolin worked at healing my hands very quickly. I just happened to see it at the pharmacy one day and thought I would try it.
I also like to exfoliate with a mixture I make of lemon juice and sugar; I only use this when I have no open cuts otherwise OUCH!!
You might also try the creams used for healing cracks in feet I will use this atleast once daily to keep my hands from becoming dry (Heel Rescue) works very well. I also use that on my elbows.
Thank you for being such a positive influence, my oldest daughter adores you and appreciates the fact that you let us all know that you are not perfect either. You are lovely inside and out.

I have bad acne it's not to bad but i have scars wat do i gotta do to get rid of them HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!

1. To get rid of make up the easiest use baby oil.

2. if you tan in the sun you can use baby oil to get a darker tan.

3. In the winter use vasaline forr lip gloss. Also use dryer sheets to keep your hair from not frizzing and standing up.

4. If you want your hair to straighten faster blow dry your hair with a curved brush and then straighten so easy.

5. before you go to bed wash your hair.then put your hair up so that theres no oil on your face or pillow. and change your pillow very often so that if you dont wash your hair you wont get pimples or brake out.

6. for pimples this sounds really wierd but take a razor to your pimple areas UNLESS ITS BY YOUR MUSTACHE AREA. and run the razor across the pimples to open them up. then rince you face with hot water. Then put toothpast around the WHOLE infected area. leave that on until your face cant move. the rinse off and the rinse again with cold water.

Hello Tyra,
I am a male from Nigeria. I dont know if this is the right section for me to ask questions or make a suggestion. I have a few questions and the relate to the case of Yanique (the girl suffering from the sweat case).I know its an old episode but it was just shown on a local station in Nigeria 2days ago. I saw it and I was so full of pity for her. Anyway, here's my question: How is she doing now? Is her condition better now? I just wanna know.
You are really doing a great job with the program. More grease to your hands. Thanks.

loungo buti
from botswana

Tyra I am 10 years old and I hate my feet. I have corns on every toe. What can I do to get them off? Also I dont't really like the fact that I'm tall and skinny. My whole family and all my friends have more meat than me what can I do? Also where r some places I can go to audition for being an actress?

i suffer from acne and dandruff. on my face i really like to use alcohol and st.ives products. if you have a nasty pimple try peroxide and it will dry it up.

A great thing that helps me are VITAMINS! selenium and vitamin E has drastically reduced my dandruff. Also for healthy skin, nails and hair try a multivitamin, flaxseed oil, vitamin A (retinol) 5,000 IU and this will help.

TO GET OUT OF OiLY, DRY AND PiMPiLED FACE THiZ IZ WAT U DO....

1). crack up 1 egg..lol...sounds funny...k anywayz

2). dump out all the extra stuff exept the yello part

3.) mix it n put on yo face az a mask

4). wait till it drys 2 da point where u cant make face expretions...lol

(you'll notic that all your face oil is on the outside of the "mask" when u touch it)
