Hi Tyra!

I have to admit, I am quite the fan!. I am a university student in Canada right now studying Criminology, I wouldn't say I am impoverished in any way however, I am struggling greatly, but this does not concern me much, that's what student loans are for right!! ;) The thing I am concerned about is my mom. She raised myself and my two brothers since we were very young and my parents divorced. We have been through a number of difficult times including living in protection shelter for abused women and children. She has always tried her hardest to ensure a safe lifestyle for my brothers and I. We've lived in the ghettos of Toronto and she has worked hard to get where we are today. My two older brothers are moved out now and my wish is to truly repay my mother for the difficult life she has had in raising three children alone. My wish is to be able to take my mom on a wonderful vacation or a Spa trip to truly repay her for raising my brothers and myself so thoughtfully throughout the years (even when I was a teenage brat). I have no one else to thank but her for helping me get to where I am now.

Even if I can't get my wish, I just want other single mother's to know that even if you don't get told how much your appreciated, I can guarantee that once your children reach an age of maturity, they will look back and be endlessly proud of your commitment to love and family!

Hello Tyra, I wrote a book when I was 20 years old about growing up in foster care from the age of 6 to 19. It is entitled "I've Found the End of the Rainbow!"
