What Have You Always Wanted to Do?

Hi y’all,

I love making wishes come true, so if there is something you have always wanted to do - tell me about it! The crazier your wish, the more likely it is that I might make it happen!

Tyra's Signature

Hi Tyra reading all this comments make me a stronger person, don't get me wrong not that i'm not a strong person but it gives me so much hope for life.I'm a 33 year old woman ,working in the hotel industry as a assistend night manager, but it would be nice if I could just settle down like any normal person becvause I do to long for a steady relationship. But enough about me ........the reason for this letter is that I realy wanna do something special for my mother because I don't know how long she will be with us.She's very sick but she'll always try to hide it from us.She's turning 75 on the 7th of March '08.She's not healty or wealthy person but she has more love for anyone than herself. She would put other peoples needs before hers.My mother wound complained of being in pain.If we ask her how she's doing than she will always have a smile on her face. She will always try to be confident and positive and she will inspire you with her spiritual words.I love my mother to peaces and feel that I must just show her how much she really means to me and my sisters.
Please Tyra could you perhaps help me............

Hi Tyra, I feel silly telling what I wish I could do. I'm 38 year old gay man, I was married for 7 years to a wonderful, beautiful woman and we had a daughter and son ages 19 and 16 now. My ex wife and I are now 13 years divorced, we are both married to wonderful men and she now has a 3 year old daughter. In April of 07 my ex wifes brother passed away from cancer, he was 26. I met my ex wife when we were around the age of 11 in grammar school. We had our daughter Sara when we were both 17 and married when we were 18, her brother Moses was basically raised by us both. He was the most loving boy and the glue that held his family together, the amazing part of him was that he had down syndrome but he didn't know it and our children saw him as a 6 foot 250 pound kid that could reach up and get the sweets from the top of the fridge. My children and my ex wife have not been the same since he passed away. I myself have kept my own pain silent to them due to the fact that I was trying to hold my children together and a support for my ex wife. It feels like I lost my own child, its a pain that doesn't go away and it doesn't get easier, but I keep one thing in my mind that Moses taught me, love unconditionally.
Let me explain a bit, when we (my ex wife and I) would be in social events, our kids and Moses would often be with us, our friends and my family would make comments to the effect that they pitied Moses for being mentally challenged. In the world of Moses he didn't know that he was different, he would ask girls to dance, play with other kids, socialize with others like a little kid would. His handicap made him very brave to play the guitar, he played it out of tune and to his own lyrics and pitch, oblivious how awful he really was, but he loved playing his guitar and sing out loud. Almost every Sunday he would walk to church, sometimes alone because my ex mother in law was running late and would take a seat in the front of the church and play his guitar proudly. He was well known in the church, he loved everyone and he loved everyone unconditionally. I always wondered how could anyone feel sorry for a person that didn't judge you, didn't know the difficulties of life, that only had a song to sing and loved just because your nice to him. I miss looking at life threw his eyes, when life is tough I ask myself "Be more simple like Moses, love life". I deeply miss his music, It made no sense to me, but he played his guitar with such joy that you could only smile because he loved life. He was also proud of his Special Olympics Medals and would wear them almost all the time, simple things about life made him so happy. I struggle with insecurities, bills and the pressure of trying to keep my head above the water with bills and I support my mother with rent and her bills and I have my daughter in college and my son in High School. So who should feel sorry for who?
I am now a Doctor assistant for the past 2 years. I worked for a year in a detox unit, specializing in heroin, cocaine and alcohol addictions but now I work in a non surgical medical weight loss clinic. I listen to others people struggles with addictions and most of the time I'm the shoulder to cry on.
The thing I would love to do is to be there for the eliminated girls on Americas Next Top Model. I always feel so sorry for all those girls, I just want to be there in the back and just support them in any way I can and just remind these girls that only one could win and you got to keep trying. I really do know what its like to be rejected, my own father doesn't speak to me because of my life style. I have been judged and assumed that I have characteristic's that don't really apply to me, starting with my name Jesus, it comes with alot of comments in my life like, "Oh, you speak so well!" but its all OK, because I have learned the most important thing in my life. All those that hate me (and there are many) because of who I am or think that I have characteristics that have nothing to do with me. I have learned to love all those unconditionally. I will not live a life defending myself or hating those that don't approve of me. I have had many wrongs done to me and hating back is like cancer and it eats you up inside, so if I love them unconditionally, I will not let my judgment of characteristics blind me to see how wonderful a person could be. I know its a long shot, but my daughter and I are such fan's of Next Top Model that my one wish could only come from a woman that I admire and respect.
Jesus

hello, my name is amanda alvarez. basically i am writing to anyone i can think of. im the type of person who will ask anything once...maybe even twice if i dont get a response. i know this message cant be long because everyone is so busy answering other e-mail and such, so i will make it as short as possible. this passed year God has truly put amazing faith and love in my heart. and has told me himself and through others that he wants me to go to masters commission sacramento. i am struggling with some financial problems at the moment so i am looking around for donations, scholarships, or anything that could possibly help. if their is anything you could possibly do to help me along the way, i would be very grateful. if not, well it does not hurt to ask, and your prayers would be appreciated. thanks in advance. God Bless.

all my love,
amanda

I liked your question, what have I always wanted to do. Well with my life there are a lot of things I have already
accomplished. I have been to college, I am a teacher, I own a home when I was looking for an apartment. But I really want to do is take a vacation with my mom in Hawaii someday, but I don't think that this is going to happen. My Dad is sick again and was recently hospitalized. Causing my mom to make many trips back and forth on the road. I just starting saving for us to go, without her knowing. We both need a break mentally. If I could ask, it's not for me, its really for my mother. She is a hard worker and she needs a break. Thanks for listening.

Hi Tyra! I am 36, a mother of 3 and a wife of a wonderful school teacher. I am a freelance photographer, working exclusively on location with children and their families. I know I have to step it up to make a good living at this....I have so many great ideas....and I want a studio so bad I can taste it! I want it all...studio, employees, marketing...the works. I am really passionate about my work, and feeling stuck like this is driving me crazy. Money is a huge obstacle for us. My wish, is for you to share you knowledge with us...I think it would be hugely helpful to have you do a show about stepping it up...how to get "there"....where ever "there" might be for any one person. You are so bright, and you have created such a great business around yourself. Please help me, and others like me figure out how to make our own successes! Show us the way Tyra! You're great, and thanks for all you do!

I want to secure a position in the fashion industry as an event planner, and after watching your recent Fashion Week shoe, I am convinced that I can assist you in producing an experience alike no other for the upcoming Fashion Week in September. I would love the opportunity to sit down with your production staff and present my suggestions about how the Tyra Banks show could set-up not only an inside look into the scene, but to produce some functions that will highlight strong icons, while making the Tyra show an even hotter ticket than the shows at the tent.

Hi Tyra! You're such an inspiration....you've worked so hard, and you have really made yourself a force in the world of entertainment as both a talk show host and with your ANTM production. I love that you have established yourself as a brand. You have shown so much business savvy in the way you have managed your life in the last several years. I am really so impressed. My wish, is for you to share what you know with us. How did you do it? I am currently trying to grow a business as a photographer. I specialize in children and families....I offer high end products and unique designs. But I am stuck! I am at a point where I am busy enough to make money, but I know that to make a living at this, I need to step it up. I need a studio, I need marketing, I need to make this business take off! I have so many great ideas and visions. My husband is a teacher, and money is the biggest obstacle in our lives. I would love to see you do a show focused on this....what makes people successful....how do you get there? How do you get it all? It's just not enough to want it so badly you can taste it...there is a missing link here, what seperates the people that are stars in their industry from the rest of us. Help me fill in the gap! Show us how to do it...I think this could be important for young people as well as us oldies like me...I am a mother of 3, and work from home....I desperately need to know how to step up my game.
Thanks for all you do!

Hi Tyra,
My name is Toni-Anne. I currently live in Quebec, and i've been having a hard time choosing what career suits me. All my life I wanted to become a very inspiring actress. I've taken Drama all through my years (so far) in highschool. Im 16, and I belive you were the woman who helped me belive in who I am, and what I stand for. I didnt bother im the furture to email you because I thought you would never have had time and that you didnt really respond. When I watch your shows even if it has a happy or sad theme going on.. I always end up with tears in my eyes. You truly remind me that a black woman who has a goal can go anywhere she wants in life. Although, sometimes it seems impossible I tend to look on the positive side because I say.. Si Tyra pouvez le faire .. Je peux le faire aussi. That means if Tya can do it.. so can I. :) Hopefully one day I will be able to act in the big screens with you! It would be sencerly an honor. Hoefully one day I will meet you, I would be the most happiest teen in the world!

xxo.

Hi Tyra Gurl!!! I first want to say that I love the show, I love ANTM, and I just love you and everything you stand for. Tyra in January of 1995 I was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer and my jaw bone on the right side of my face, a tumor and my teeth were removed. I beat cancer and I am now 19 years old, so I have a lot to be greatful for. Now that I'm older my confidence level is going down because I don't look normal people stare and call me names even to this day. Also I feel like my face will prevent my dreams of becoming a major fashion designer from coming true because I'll be afraid of the lime light. Tyra I really want to be a normal girl with a beautiful smile that's all I ever really wanted please help me make that dream come true if possible.
Love You

Hi tyra, my name is latrial Jenkins

I’m nineteen years old, and I have been struggling with acne since I began the ninth grade. It really has played a major role in my life I feel so ugly, and unattractive to the point where I hate to leave my room. Because that is the only place where I know that I don’t have to worry about the stares that I get when I’m in public. I hate the person I see when I look in the mirror bumps on top of spots every where. Having acne makes me feel like I can’t accomplish any thing, because I’m to busy worrying about what the next person is saying about me, that I lose focus on what I’m trying to accomplish in the first place. For example iam going to school to become a medical assistant and I barely go because I am so embarrassed of my acne. This causes me to have little or no social life, I never even had a boy friend or been to a high school party…I have tried every acne product that I can think of, from cleansers to lotions skin brighteners u name it !!! But nothing seems to work, and it hurts because I feel like ill never get rid of my acne .So I wanted to know could you please help me with my acne problem, it would really make a big difference in my life and mean so much to me. And then may be for once in my life when people look or talk to me, they would actually pay attention to what I’m saying instead of how many bumps I have on my face.
P.s I know that there are a lot of people who may need your help as well as me, and I do acknowledge the fact that you are a very busy women ….and even if you do not get around to helping me, I m sure it was probably because some one else was more deserving then me . I think you are a great role model for all young women and teens, because you care and take the time out of your busy schedule to read our emails which u do not have to do . ..I hope God bless you and your family and watch over your brother, who risks his life every day to protect us.

Sincerely latrial Jenkins

Hey Tyra,

There are times that people come into our lives that really make a difference. One person who has touched my life is a good friend of mine. His name is Adam and we met in the most extraordinary way. A singer and dancer, Adam was a performer at The Carolina Opry in Myrtle Beach, SC we met and became friends just by talking after the shows when I came down on vacation. I never could have imagined that with my determination to get to know Adam, it would have brought me to finding such an amazing person who has and always will enrich my life. His willingness to go one step further with me and become more than a fan to him truly touched my heart.
I’ve never met anyone who stays as busy as Adam does. He graduated college in only 3 years with a B.A. degree (a major in Musical Theatre and minor in Business) while still working 6 nights a week at The Carolina Opry, choreographing and teaching dance at a local studio, helping his father teach guitar on the weekends, being apart of his church’s music ministry group Jammin’ 4 Jesus, and reserving Sunday’s for time to spend with his family since he only lived a half hour away from them. Adam is an ambitious 22 year old who’s not afraid of getting out into the world to make something of himself. He’s genuine, friendly, caring, and contrary to him being an entertainer he hasn’t let the acclaim of being a performer go to his head.
Adam left Myrtle Beach in November of last year to further his career and take on a new endeavor in his pursuit of fulfilling a long-term dream of becoming a Broadway performer in New York. He moved to Los Angeles to train for two months for an international cruise line which accepted him to travel aboard ship for 6 months this year as lead/singer and dancer. While there in LA he attended a Tori Amos concert at the Nokia Theatre. Adam absolutely adores and respects Tori and her music to the highest degree. He is so inspired by her soulful, heartfelt lyrics and admires the fact that her music goes deeper than some of the fabricated mainstream songs that are in play today.
Adam states:
"She is definitely very outlandish when it comes to song writing, but that's what I love about her. She leaves the lyrics up for grab, for further investigation and research. A lot of people see her music as "depressing" but I don't. I see it as an outlet of expressing emotions and as her learning through her life experiences, which weren’t always the best. It's not that I can "always" relate to what she's talking about, but I feel the authenticity and urgency of what she's talking about seeping out of her music."
He is a die-hard fan of hers and proclaimed to me after his night at seeing her in concert that his life was now complete. Even though far away, he was captivated merely by her presence on stage.
Adam has touched my life in ways I couldn’t ever have imagined. He is the music of my heart and I would love to give him the music of HIS heart. I’m writing to you today in need of assistance to make a dream come true for him. Nothing would thrill me more than if Adam could personally meet Tori Amos. He returns to Myrtle Beach the first week in June from the cruise ship and will be in town for part of the summer. If Tori’s schedule is free during that time frame could she meet up with Adam at some point while he is in Myrtle Beach? I would greatly appreciate any help you could offer in helping me reach Tori.

Thanks for your time and consideration,
Sharlie
