Hi Tyra! I am Geln from Africa; I am a human rights activist and volunteer. I have been full time engaging myself with volunteering in human rights matters in my country. Volunteering with children and youth. When I was studying my LLb. I did a dissertation on discrimination in employment on the basis of criminal records. During my dissertation I came to find out that people with criminal records have been discriminated by the employers, this group of people forms a big number in our society and some are fathers who have a family to support. They get difficulties in finding copying mechanisms for their survival. There is no or minimum government effort to help and if these people remain with no hope or nobody to listen to, they going to struggle for their right to employment. In the course of struggling they may threat world peace. I understand what they are going through all i need is to stress for the amendments of international laws to help this people by adding more provision that define their rights. In my hand I have a proposal on how we can assist this forgotten group of people. Please empower me to serve them.

Tyra I have had a very rough up bringing, i was changing diapers, hustling money, and taking care of five other siblings before i knew how to add and subtract. One day Tyra i watched my mom get assaulted by dealers whom lived in our neighborhood because of drugs that she was not willing to sell for them, then after i became even more desperate to seek help for my family because i was afraid that my mom would end up dead.
Seeking more help to me Tyra only made matters worse as dcfs took complete control of our lives. They started by seperating us, then i found my self being shipped away to WI, as a child it hurted me and i was more confused than ever. One day while in math class i finished my work before class was over, so i was allowed to go into the teachers music collection and listen to my choice of music, there i found mariah's cd music box and fell in love with every song on it,but hero was the best song, from then i wanted to learn more of her so i began research & found that we shared similar but different life styles. I sought comfort in music & dancing. Mariah carey, celine dion, Whitney Houston, & Mary j Blige became stepping stones to my healing process, the pain never went away but i was able to cope a little better and sleep more comfortably at night. I had always told my self that once i got older enough i would seek out meeting Mariah Carey and let her know how she affected my life as a child, & now here i am Tyra writing to you and seeking a chance to live out my dream of meeting Mariah Carey.

hi tyra this is for my 11 year old grandaughter, who is very smart, and very talented, who wants to finish school and go to college. but under conditions now she wont make it through high school. there is nothing here, this is a very small town. she watches tour show and of course what you wear, because she wants to be a fashion designer, since she was 2 and playing with barbies she has wanted to do this . i bought her a bratz sewing machine for christmas and she loves it. she has big dreams tyra but i dont have anything to help her with these big dreams. my dream is to see her go to college. it would be a 1rst on my side of the family. i wrote to oprah 7 or 8 years earlier, on a different matter and i still have not heard from her, i hope that i could get a resonse from you to let me know you received this. i am not a crazy person just a loving grandmother. thank you

It is really hard to wake up everyday and wonder how i am going to finish paying my rent for this month and will the food last, but i seem to make it. All i ever wanted, my deepest passion and desire is to become an actress and then one day a mogul and role model, sort of like you. Yes i am exhausted but i know why God wakes me up everyday, i have a calling and i seriously think acting is it. i'm a 14 year old girl that has had a crazy time figuring out what is it that i want to do for the rest of my life career wise. i first started off wanting to be a model but then i saw that it is not what i wanted to do. but now i am sure that i want to be an actress. everything that i do and everything that describe my normal being turns to the great possibility of acting, and being that i admire you much in the way that you had to go through leaving you mom to go to paris and feeling home sick and crying yourself to sleep and all, you were still able to make it as a hugh known model and i admire soooooo much your success. the fact you have said that any modeling company that charges is a fake got me wondering if it's the same for acting. being that you know exactly how to move with these kind of situation, my only wish if for you help me find out how or what acting agency is the real deal and not some organiztion brought up to scheme people. tyra i admire and trust you sooooo much and hope for you to help my dream of becoming an actress come true.

I've always wanted 2wear a two piece bathing suit and surf with my brother. But, I have issues with my self image and confidence. Daily I hide behind a mask pretending that everything is all well in my life when truly I melancholy,hurting inside.
I've tried endlessly 2think that I was beautiful on the outside as the inside but, I know that I'm just entertaining a bogus thought. It's all just a hallucination. Though I've grown up in a Cristian home hearing " God looks at the inside and man looks on the outside and what God thinks is more important. I still feel and look like an ugly duckling(unsightly,dispicable)
One would think with a glimpse that I'm slim therefore I have all the right 2be grateful and content, little do they know that I'm flatchested without stuffing, with unsightly veins, uneven skin and stretch marks.
If I don't have clothes covering my entire hideous,imperfect body I would feel totally paralyzed.At times I would bathe with the lights off so that I wouldn't have 2face myself.
I wouldn't even entertain the thought of changing infront of female family members, relatives or friends afraid of humiliation and degradation.Though it is said "all of us have the same thing just some bigger or others smaller" I've felt stares and often gotten hints.

Thank you for the opportunity to express our thoughts and feelings with you. You are awesome! My biggest dream come true seems to get lost admid the world of literary agents and publishers. A few years ago I wrote a childrens book, with copy right in hand I set out to find a literary agent only to discover it's not that easy. Since then I have written a novel. "Devil's Kettles Falls" with that came a sudden rush of fear that I was an aspiring writer that would always be undiscovered. Truthfully, it is a hard task to find, that one person who believes in the book enough not to shelf it. I believe in the book, the characters and the plot so much so that I could say I felt greif stricken when one of my main characters died. I am known as the girl that doesn't cry, but at that moment... I must admit I shed a tear. Today in the world of reality T.V. shows and programs like America's next Top Model or American Idol.
