I love making wishes come true, so if there is something you have always wanted to do - tell me about it! The crazier your wish, the more likely it is that I might make it happen!

hi tyra,
this seems kinda weird being a guy sending this message to you...i am a single father of 2 boys. I have always wanted to make a difference in my community, i always dreamed of starting a company called founding fathers l.l.c. which is a foundation that provides positive male role models to those children that dont have them in their lives. i've always wanted to make a difference, so much that i ended up going to specs howard school of broadcast arts for radio and television broadcasting...and now am loving television broadcasting so much that i have been searching for a job anywhere in the u.s.a. ( with no luck of course)...my life has come crashing down around me...i cant pay my carnote, rent and i can barely keep my lights and gas on. i have foodstamps and a limited income that i am barely surviving on. but i wanted to do a lot of controversial shows on the economy...drugs in our community and why they dont crack down on the dope boys like thy should, politics and race, and so much more so our youth can grow to be more knowledfeable and do something positive in our future. but to make a long story short...why is it that everyone talks about single mothers and struggles, but never pay tribute to us single fathers out here doing the best we can for our children and not even getting any recognition...it's like we exist but we don't. and there are a lot of single men out here stepping up to the plate and doing what we have to and are supposed to do and raise our children...there are a lot of deadbeat moms out there too...i feel we shouldbe recognized and brought to the light because its just as hard for us as it is for women...especially when you live in a drug infested community like detroit,MI and cant find a good woman to save your life...either because you have children,or dont have a means to do anything for the woman you meet in your life...its really bad out here and its getting worse for us...and i think this issue needs to be addressed and brought out for prople to see that we are here and we care also!!

Hey Tyra,
I have always been interested in modeling. I would like to meet with ford or even do something like appear as a guest judge on Americas next top model. I live in a place where modeling jobs and agency's are a drive away and I also have 2 kids. I would at least try to attempt my dream of modeling.

Hi Tyra,
My name is Tracey and the one thing I've always wanted to do, but never had the chance was become a model. Everyone is always telling me that I should have been one, or asking me have I ever modeled. I am 5'8 1/2. The only three things I feel is hollding me back is that I am older, I have three children (my daughter has diabetes and I feel I don't have the stomach, since I had three kids,(stilllllll working on the stomach:). I feel that I am a very attractive girl, and I am not rail then. If I could get a shot at being a model,(ie commmerical, runway etc.)this would fullfill a life long dream of mine. Tyra u are a great inspiration to all women. Keep keeping it real as you always do. Stay down to earth, and don't let no one(especially tabloids)change who you are.
Peace and Love
Tracey

What I've always wanted to do? Oh boy...where to start?
After my visit to the Philippines, I saw parts of the city we were in (Hipodromo) in shambles like other third world countries. Naked kids squatting in the streets caught my attention first. I knew I was going to see poverty, but this was quite an awakening up close and I thought...I want to help out all the poverty, third world countries-people from hurricane Katrina to the kids you hear starving from the commercials...but I thought, "Where am I going to find the money or funds to do this?"
I noticed that many celebrity actors have taken their part in helping the cause for many people around the world. Angelina Jolie inspired me the most, from her actions of promoting humanitarian causes around the world and joining the UN Refugee Agency. Even her husband Brad Pitt has helped in his steps of restoring the houses that were destroyed in hurricane Katrina.
With this in mind, I thought becoming an actor and hopefully gaining enough funds so I could donate it and help make an impact on the world is what I want to do. I have three days at home before I'm kicked out-long story with that one-but I will be starting from scratch out there. I'm looking forward to my independence being 20years old. I know I can do this...
...but I'd love to be able to find the financial means to help the world, my parents and other families out there in the world doing what I'd love to be more in, like acting/modeling...something! Starting where I live-the US...then other countries. There is sooo much I wanna do...but so little time. If you can help Tyra, I'd appreciate it. I understand that lots of woman/men have been posting their wishes as well but I know what I want to do will take months or years to make an impact once I gain the money from whatever career/charity/fundraiser I create or do...
I feel like everyone deserves a chance, and being able to post what I've always wanted to do is relieving enough. Thank you Tyra. It's nice to know you answer your own emails. I just really want to help those kids...families...the starving people out there, the homes lost. Ugh, I want to be able to let other people take notice just how much of our people are hurting.

For the last 33 years, I have always wanted to be a model. I am 38 now, soon to be 39 on May 20th. I am a plus-size, REAL size woman who likes fashion just as much as a skinny, always on a killing-myself diet woman. I STRONGLY believe that a plus size woman can be just as beautiful and sexy and modely as any other "model type" out there. I also STRONGLY believe that I can give any of those young girls a FIERCE run for their money on ANTM. My weapon...I take notes on what you, the Jays and your guest judges tell the models to improve their pictures to make them more fierce. If they don't listen to the people who have the experience in the field they want to pursue, they won't be successful. Anyway, I admire you so very much for all that you do to help others. You are as much a philanthropist as Oprah. I also admire the close relationship you have with your mother. As a mother of a beautiful 5 year old, I hope that my relationship with my daughter is just as strong. You care so much that you bring me to tears alot of the time. Thank you for all that you do.

Dear tyra,
im a seventeen year old girl from a small town in south carolina. i recently lost my dad to cancer and now my dream is to make a difference. i would love to go to cancer foundations and do anything i could to change things. I don't think anyone deserves to battle with an illness like cancer, and i would do anything to give them a little bit of hope.
sincerely,
Emily

Hi Tyra,my name is mary magloid and I am 15 years old. My dream is to become an actress. I don't reallly know my biological mother, most of my life she has been in prison, she even had me in prison. kids at my school call me "prison baby". At the age of 8 my biological father was shot to death on accindent. He was at the wrong place at the wrong time. they never found who was responsiable. I only new him for a year and he was a wonderful father i just wish i could have got to know him a little more. But I'm happy with the family that I was raised by. I have beautiful god mother that love's me so much and I try to love her as much in return. her and my God father took me in when I was 6 days. They have loved me unconditinaly, and have taught me the word of God. That's why I think that the lord has put me in their home. When I was 10 they got into a devorce. My mom moved to an little duplex on bogia ct. My mom and I with my baby cousin amani all lived there. It hurt me becausee I didn't understand why my mother left. until I started to understand my dad. He was not the best father figure,or better to say he was not what I needed as a young women. I became damged and I still do not know how to express that to him without getting mad. Almost every weekend I go to see him maybe he will tell me why he's the way he is,but no luck yet. since I was five I have wanted to be an actress. I've been in church plays school play's. Play's out of school. I love to act it's my passion. I just don't know how to get there yet. Every company we have tried cost money and my family don't have the money for that. I thank God for my family for trying so hard to get me there. Why do I want to become an actress so badly?is the question I always get. I want to be an actress so badly because of the feeling I have when I am ont that stage entertaining the audience. There is no word to describe it. Tyra you must know the feeling you act and when your on that walk way,you know it. It's not about the money because no monts of money can desribe the feeling. Acting is a passion and I'm going to do what ever it takes to get there. I want the world to see what I can do. Just the feeling of playing another person and to feel what they feel,to know what they know,to expeience what they have experienced. The only part about the money is I want to give my god mom anything or everything her heart desires because she needs a break. Tyra if you can help me I would really appreciate it. This is a true story and I thank you Tyra for listening.God blessed you!

Hi Tyra, my name is Mariah Robinson and i live in St.Louis, MO with my wonderful mother. The thing that i have always wanted to do was help her out with her non-profit organization. she works so hard and does so much for others without a set income and sometimes she never knows where money might come from but i wish there was something i could do that could make her smile or something that could help her out. She has an event coming up on July 25!! Women In Vision, Inc is the name of her organization. Her organization provides a support system in and outside of prison for women offenders. Her commitment is to educate and restore dignity into the lives of the women offenders and their children. She is currently teaching Basic Life Skills Personal/Professional Growth Classes to the women inmates of Clayton Correctional Facility. Upon release, each former inmate will be provided with a case manger from W.I.V. who will provide support and assistance for up to six months. Many of the former inmates become volunteers as means of giving back to the community.Women In Vision, Inc. is hosting it’s Tenth Annual “Christmas In July” Charity Ball that will be held at the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark, July 25, 2008 @ 7:00 p.m. Many political leaders, pastors, community business owners, persons working in the correctional facilities and social service agencies will come together for this event. The purpose of this event is to raise funds to continue her prison program, aftercare, and aid to wrongfully incarcerated women. The only thing my mom wants to do is continue to serve the incarcerated women and their children. Her goal is to open a transitional-housing unit for the homeless women returning to society. so Please Tyra is there anything you can do to help me out, my mom really deserves something special because she balances all of this and cares for my family and I at the same time, and for that reason i look up to her!

Hey there Trya,
I've watched you for years and everything you do is wonderful. First I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself: I am a mother of three beautiful and talented young ladies. They are all very unique in their own way. My youngest is 6 she's very bright and vocie-strous. She is an "old" soul-you'ld have to speak with her too understand. Then there's the next one-she's 15, very talented: sings, dances, athletic ect. She is very upset with me and life right now not exactly sure why. I guess it's just teenage years. She would love to meet Chris Brown he is an inspiration and I believe that every child deserves a hero. If as a young man, who has accomplished so much with his family behind him,if he could personally encourage her and let her know that this is life... I would also love to give her the opprotunity to showcase her talents with/for someone such as Chris Brown. Besides fantasizing about being backstage,center-stage, on stage or even in "bloody nose seats" at a concert (if that were even possible)She too can be in magazine articles and tv interviews. Then there is the oldest(biologically)who is 16, she is very smart as well. (Oh, I foregot to mention that I am a 32 yr old Grandmother-Thanks to my oldest ;-) She just returned to school because she was out on maternity leave. She had a healthy 5lbs 6.6 oz baby girl on 2/29/08. She is now also a single mother and what I wish for her is a better life for her and hers than I may have been able to give them myself.
Tyra I'ld like to believe that we are a close knit family, however when there is all work and no play, that would make anyone miserable. I have never been fortunate to take the girls on vacation or give the things that they've asked for not just needed. I need to make the sunshine over their cloudy days, Will you help me?
You see I have always tried to show them that it is not about what you have, it's about who you are no one can ever take that away from you. However Tyra let's get real kids will be kids...
The girls have been through struggles too many for me to leave here, I need to see them smile and honestly feel as though I've had something to do with it. I have tried to change my ways and life to show them that change is always necessary. I lost over 80? lbs, I was able to move them to a better house (renting but it's home), I became a resource for a forster child, I assist with sports, community activities and even do community service. I work with non-profits agencies as well. All this and no means of transportation other than pat and turn occassionally a metro card.
OK, look thanks for having this space for me to leave somethings off my chest. Thanks for listening (no offense-if you do personally read this, or who ever does reads this-thanx)

Single Mother & To Young To Be A Grandma... | April 29, 2008 2:47 PM
Hey Tyra,
My name is Katie, and I've been noticing that a lot of peoples' dreams are to become singers. I am also going to jump on that bandwagon! I've been singing all my life and just moved to Nashville to really pursue my music career. However, I think having a performance on the Tyra show could really give my career a kick-start. I think it would be a great idea to have a 'Tyra-Idol' episode where many of these 'dreamers' could come on the show and strut their stuff (including me, of course) So... what do you think???
hi tyra,
this seems kinda weird being a guy sending this message to you...i am a single father of 2 boys.

Single Mother & Too Young To Be A Grandma

Hey Tyra,
My name is Katie, and I've been noticing that a lot of peoples' dreams are to become singers.
