I was born in the mid 1950’s. I feel that I was fortune being in a time when the mother was at home and raise children and the father went to work and support the family and was not only the physical head of the family but was suppose the spiritual head too. I feel that women had a lot of power in America, and the world in ways they did not realize for they had the main responsibility of being the primary care giver for the children of the family and they shape the children whom they raise, collaborated with other women and families in the neighborhood in finding and sharing in way to raise children and instilled a strong identity on what a man should be and want a woman should be and how we should interact in society and a keeping of standard of moral which was primarily based in Christianity. It was almost like that was me up there talking. So here's the thing. I was talking to my mom and I said to her, imagine Janet and Tyra had a show TOGETHER. Loved the show Tyra :) I was wondering Ms. Jackson, how do you lend support to your brother Michael, through all his trials and tribulations without getting involved in the "scandals" I love him so much. And worry about his well-being often, as so many people often attack his character. He is truly a good, honest and beautiful soul. p.s. My question for Janet: The media likes to talk about your yo-yo dieting & struggle with weight. No disrespect, but I have noticed that in different stages of your career, you look really thin or you look a little thicker. How did you get the weight off this time & how do you stay focused to keep it off?

I am a registered nurse & have been battling my weight since I was 18. I think it looks bad for a nurse to be overweight. What type of example am I setting. I have starved myself, exercised, tried Nutri-System but I revert back to my old, horrible eating habits. So, far I have lost 55 pounds but want to lose at least 40 more. Any suggestions?
