Im 14 and im having a problem with my acne. and i have struggled with it for about 4 years now. and my family always hassles me, telling me that i just need to wash my face. but, ive tried so much stuff and nothing seems to work . And i was going to buy proactiv but my parents said that we dont have enough money. Any ways, alot of people in my school ask me why i have so many bumps on my face. I'm 26 years old and i have mild acne. My acne didn't not appear as often until after high school and has increased. Maybe stress can be the problem. My son who was 4 at the time asked me why do i have mosquito bites on my face. I have a pretty good sense of humor and understand he's just a child, but that really hurt my feeling. I missed the show about skin care, but I was able to read some of the tips that were mentioned on the show. I am a 25 year old black woman who suffers from really oily skin. The biggest problem that I have is not only the break-outs but the blemishes my pimples leave behind(rather I pop pimples or not). Right now I use Proactive, which seems to work better than the hundreds of other skin care lines that I have tried, but I was wondering if any of the fade creams work and what would be the best thing to do for my skin. This has always been a sensitive issue for me because I feel like when people look at me they are looking at my blemishes and not the beauty that is underneath.

I will be 50 in Jan. & have suffered with acne since I was 9 yrs. old. The only things a doctor gave me was vitamin B-12 shots which did nothing. I have used everything imaginable with no lasting results. One thing that did help, but younger folks would have to use sparingly, is Dry-Lo by Serious Skin Care. It really helps clear up pimples. I wish there was a cure but there isn't. I have blackheads on my nose with very very large pores. And now I get the acne beneath the skin that doesn't surface and creates hard bumps. My face hurts sometimes and I've resolved that I'll have wrinkles and acne til I die. I've never been able to wear short sleeves or tank tops or spagetti strap dresses since I was in my early 20's because of acne and the scarring.

i have a great tip for getting rid of pimples when u get one before you go to bed you should take a pressed powder from like covergril or something and you put it on the pimple(alot of it) and what it does it kind of like dries it up so the next day the big red zit is gone

i'm 18 and struggling with my skin issues! aside from acne, i have HORRABLE scars that WILL NOT go away! i wakeup evey morning and hate what i see in the mirror. I suffer from adult acne but have a great dermatologist in NYC. He gave me Glycare Perfection Gel by M.D. Forte for "spot care", (you know, those huge subterranean ones.) It'll shrink the big painful ones and if it doesn't, it makes the poppable ones disappear the night after you pop them (safely, of course.)

I think that when it comes to pimples you should continue with your daily routine but make something else about you look really good like your outfit or hair or something, and so then you as well as others will focus on you outfit or hair and not your face!

Ooh and a good face mask for acne is Manuka Honey. It's antibacterial and cleans deeply.

U can use it as often as you like, daily or two to tree times a week. Don't forget to exfoliate, I make a paste from cornmeal with water as a facial scrub.

It will leave your skin soft and smooth and works even better if u use it before the manuka honey face mask.

The solution for my troubled skin was;

Using Yasmin (birthcontrol pill) it contains drospirenone a hormone that controlls acne. Ask your doctor about it.

And a face cream that you can use at night, wich will improve your skin within weeks is; Vicco Turmeric cream. It's a 100% natural cream en it works! The smell is a bit strong, but if you want clear skin? A good and very mild cleanser for acne is Neem soap (Margo)also 100% natural.

My name is Beek and im 23 yrs old. I have a really big problem with my face and i need advice on how to help get rid of the problem. Well before i had my son i have always had pimples. While i was pregnant my face started to clear up cause of the prenantal pills, thank god for them. After my son was born and i stop taking prenantal pills, i develope really oilly skin. I love putting on make-up but the oils on my face just loves to take them off. I have had acen for as longs as i can remember. I use neosporin, I have tryed ever cream that a doctor can give you and nesoporin works better than anything.

Getting rid of mild acne can sometimes help with eating lot of vitamine b5.
A cream called "Duac" is also great for those wíth mild acne.

U should see a doctor if u have cystic acne already...coz it doesnt go away by itself. Antibiotics can sometimes help. U can also try laser treatment at a plastic clinic if the antibiotics dont help.
But I am sure u will get the help u need just contact your doctor in your town and they will help.
I didnt think regular doctors had a "cure" for acne, I thought they would think I was "foolish" to see acne as a problem. But it is a problem and it can get worse if u dont do anything about it, specially if u have cystic acne it can leave u with bad scarring even if u dont pick on the pimples.

Hi Tyra, I am 32 and suffer from all the different types of acne you can think of. Cystic, balck and white heads etc. I live in Scotland and heard about your show on acne. How a lady was cured. I missed that series but my mum arrived from Lagos and was going on about it. I am getting in touch as a last resort . Don't know what else to do. I have spent so much on tratments to noavail. I rarely ever got pimples in High School and when I did I would get the ones under the skin and they would stay for months. Now I am 22 and seem to always have a few on my chin. I tried everything and nothing has seemed to work except for a little thing called Hydrogen Peroxide. My mom told me to take a cue tip and dab some where ever I had a zit or looked like I was going to get a zit. It worked, it gradually gets smaller. With the smaller zits that were just beginning they went away over night. The larger ones take a couple days. Hydrogen Peroxide is used everyday to kill bacteria on scrapes and wounds, why not on a pimple. It cleanses the dirt in the pimple. That's my remedy!

hey tyra :] your show is so helpful for everyone especially young women like me [16] that go through "those teen years". like you may know acne hits the most during that time. i know because thats my biggest problem at this moment. i feel like i have tried everything lotions, mask, doctors but it has done nothing. the only thing its done is to bring down my self-esteem. i feel so self- concious about it. is there anything else you recommened for me?

While at my aunt's house, I had a bunch of pimples. She gave me some Bikini Zone (store brand doesn't work) to put on them. The next morning they were gone. Give it a try!

hey tyra, i love your show and i watch it all the time. I'm from the philippines and i'm so happy because there is a channel that airs your show. It has influenced so many people from my school because everybody seems to be talking about your show. My friends and I always share the tips we learn from you. I personally love this episode because i learned so much. I don't have very good skin and i usually get pimples when i'm stressed or staying up late. I treat them with benzoil peroxide which works for me. But the marks(black spots) seem like forever. I've tried all sorts of cream but nothing seems to work. Please help.=)
P.S. What do you do to make your skin soft and smooth?

Well , i have a suggestion, any one with acne , try Proactiv 3 step system with refining mask (esp before going to bed). Believe me , it really works. i have really bad chest acne. it really sucks because i am a girl and sometimes i want to wear v-neck shirts but can't because of the chest acne. Any ideas on how to get rid of it or help to prevent it? i also have bad facial acne. any ideas there?

I was up watching your show at 2am about your bloggers. Toward the end of the show people were asking questions about pimples. You mentioned you had purchased a $200 cream that didnt help you. Well I have another suggestion that worked for me, Proactiv Refining Face Mask. Usually when I get a pimple I put the refining face mask on the pimple and it goes down. I dont usually advertise or promote products, but this I will. Try it and let me know how it works.

hey trya! i don't have bad acne, but i do get ginormous pimples here and there. for example, once got one right on the tip of my nose, i popped, and now i ahve a noticable red scar :[. so now i use a wonderful mask that's called "the original mint julep masque" by quene helene. it wirks really great and now my scar is fading,too. it's a little under five bucks and you can get it from CVS/phramacy. i hope you try it! :]

I was watching your show today and I heard you talking about PIMPLES (those NASTY DEVILSH thangs. lol) a really good facewash to get is CETAPHIL. It is for oily skin and gentle skin types. You can find this in any drugstore. A good product for "WHITEHEADS" is EVOCLIN. Its a foam product you put it right on your "WHITEHEAD" and it will go down then away. The last thing to make your face what you want it to be is a product called DIFFERIN. This product really does help clear up your skin instead of drying it out (Proactive). But for these products you will have your doctor subscibe(don't really know if i wrote that correctly)them for you. Thats just somethings I use for my face and I thought it might help you Tyra or a fan of yours. Be BLESSED. May GOD be with YOU at all times.

Hey Tyra! I used to have acne but it wasnt that bad. I tried using like 3 different types of creams and all that. Then i found
Clean and Clear Daily Pore Cleanser. It removes dirt, oil, and dead skin cells. After i used it, my face was smoother, softer and refreshed. You can get it at CVS or Walgreens or anywehre else that sells acne cleasners. Now, being 15, my face is much more cleaner and i dont have ance anymore. I have been using Daily Pore Cleanser for about 1 yr. I love it so much! It works so good. I hope it helps!!

hey tyra, missed your show on acne, and i was bumed. i wanted to watch it because i have a serious acne problem. Right now I am using AcneFree and its working very little. If and when it clears something up i break out in another area worse than the first time. And it doesn't help at all when ur friends and family members all want to pop them or pick them. also with all the negative people in the world trrying to state their opinioon with a nasty remark at the end, makes me feel very ugly.also should i believe my grandma saying that eating certain foods causes blemishes, or a dermatoligist saying that it isn't proved to. i am 13 years old and have acne since i was 10 years old. its mildly on my back and sholdurs and its very bad on my forehead, chin, and hardly on my cheeks.. i am very stressed these dayes and i do think that has something to do with my skin problem.PLEASE HELP!!!

well i live in san ysidro CA and well its very close to tijuana MEXICO so when i go to tijuana i buy this cream its call "VITACILINA" im not sure if they sell them over here in tha us i seen them in san ysidro but not sure if other sattes well you put some of that cream over night and then you remove it in the morning and it works by the next day you will see that the pimple is smaller and less res!! it works

hi tyra my name is jessica im 18 years old i've been living my life with acne ever since i was in the 4th grade since i started developing in an early age ( 9 years old) my acne started in my forehead i was teased since elementary all my life people know me as the girl with the pimples. my acne problem has even gotten worst with the years now i have it my cheeks and in my back and im full of scars. at school am always picked on and i get depressed all the time im not happy about my face i've tired everything from proactive ive gone to dermatologist but still it doesn't go away . everywhere i go my face is the first thing they look at they tell me to try this and that i dont want people to be advicing me about my acne anymore.im just tired of being know as "scar face" thats what people call me at school.and not only that i also have a hearing problem i can only hear with my right ear. people also make fun of me because of that they say im deaf its not only one problem i have to deal with,but with two. sometimes i just don't know what to do and it affects my self-esteem and i just cry alot wishing i could do something since my family doesn't have enough money to get me through two surgerys. and everywhere i go i have to wear tons of makeup to cover them up but still it doesn't cover it. then i feel bad when my friends stess about one pimple and me knowing that my problem is nothing compared to them. i just wish a miracle could happen and wouldn't have to have any more acne and i could hear better. please HELP TYRA

hey tyra i love your show andi watch it every day!! well i have a bunch of pimples on my forehead and theywill never come off. right nw i am trying the neutrogena eliminating acne gel, but it didnt do anything to me and the first thing thati do everymorning is get my mirror and look at myself to see if some have disappeared but theywont go away!! ihave been crying everyday for the last week just because of this and my older sister and brothers have pimples,too but not as much as i do. i really dont know what to do know please help me!! i love u tyra!:)

How are you? I just want to say that I truly admire you so much! I appriciate on what you did and how you respect your parents, family and friends.

Anyways, i have bad acne i tried most of EVERYTHING at the store but none seem to work. So, do you have any advices for me? I really want to get rid of this acne and pimple. Please help me and thank you in advance :]

Im 15 and i got my first pimple when i was 12.. now i have acne.. Both my brothers have really bad acne. My oldest is now 22 and hes on accutane for a REALLY long time, about 2 or 3 years now. The doctors told me to use Spectrogel and after that they gave me some cream stuff to get it to 'treat' the pimples. The cream got it worst and ive tried so many things Clean and Clear Morning Burst helped me, but then i ran out and tried a different since i used the morning burst at night as well. I used the Clean and Clear Acne wash and that didn't do anything. Now i am using PanOxyl and i hope it works since my friend used it and it helped her. The thing is i only get acne on my forehead, and its oily, but the rest of my face is kind of dry.
