Dangers of Drinking and Driving
Every single injury and death caused by drunk driving is completely preventable. Driving while intoxicated or drunk is dangerous, and drivers with high blood alcohol content (BAC) are at increased risk for car accidents, highway injuries and vehicular deaths. Unfortunately, more than 20% of traffic fatalities in the United State each year is caused by drunk drivers.
Here are a few tips for staying safe on the road:
• Volunteer to be a designated driver
• Always use a safety seat belt
• Avoid travel after midnight (especially on Fridays and Saturdays)
• Drive defensively
• Choose vehicles with airbags
The safest solution for yourself and others is to NEVER drink and drive. For more information, visit http://www2.potsdam.edu/hansondj/DrinkingAndDriving.html

Drinking And Driving is somthing I won't stand for I hate that people do it. The reoson that I feel this way is that people who choose to drink and drive don't understand the danger they put themselfs as well as the other people around them in, its not fare that people have to lose thire lives do to other peoples lack in judgment thats what bothers me. I wish that people where not allowed to Drink at ll some times. MAYBE the world we live in would be a little safer and maybe people would arrive to theire destination alive.

I don't understand how teens as young as 12 are already drinking. I mean, parents always blame the enviroment their children are in. But I think the parents are to blame. Especially the parents who leave out alchohal in the basement, or in the kitchen. Somewhere where a child can get to it. Don't you ever think about your children sneaking into the basement at lunch to drink. It happens more often than you think.
I think drinking and driving is bad, then again who doesn't? Like smoking, you could kill yourself and the person beside you.
- by the way. How come the tyra show never shows in canada anymore! I never see your show on anymore..I miss it .

Hey Tyra, I am about to be 20 years old and I was working on a speech assignment when this page came up on my search for information on drinking and driving. Well, almost two years ago to the day, Nov 21. will be two years. I was comming home from a friends house and I saw headlights comming my way. The two cars hit one another, as I was getting out of the car I saw that the other driver was dead. Not knowning what to do I called my father, and my parents were there in a matter of minutes. The other driver was found dead when the police arrived, and found between her legs was a beer can. Her levels were way above the normal limit, and I am proud to say that I am a living proof that a statistic can go wrong and the innocent lived!

Drinking and Driving is something that severely affected my life. One of my best friends died in a drunk driving accident. Drinking was something that was done regularly where i am from and no one ever thought of what may happen. Well one morning we did find out what happened and since then I quit drinking. It has been two years since my last drink and i swear that i will never do it again! There is no way to stop someone from drinking if they dont want to stop, but we need to be more aware of what can happen! Smartest hint- never drink and drive!!
