Tyra,
The last time that I saw your "tailored by Tyra" show and heared all of the people that were chosen to get your makeover I thought of my sister and what I would say about her, and honestly, it just moved me to tears for what people would do for a loved one. I am 20 and I am nominating my older sister who is 22. She has been battling weight issues since her teen years and hates going shopping because she thinks that nothing looks nice on her. She told me one day that she was sick of hearing that my other sister and I are so pretty and that she is just the nice one. She is a beautiful girl, but she just doesn't see it because she is always hiding it behind her sweats. I know that she has self esteem issues from her weight and that affects her tremendously with what she picks out for her clothing. Rarely does she dress up, it's always sweat pants and jeans because that is the only thing she feels comfortable in. I know that if she got your "tailored by Tyra" makeover that she would be the bright, happy, smiling, confident girl that my family knows that she is on the inside. I love her so much and it hurts to see her unhappy because of her looks. Thanks!~!

HELLO TYRA,
MY NAME IS LATRENDA, I LIVE IN A TOWN ABOUT 2 HRS FROM THE ATL. I WATCH YOUR TALK SHOW A LOT AT NIGHT WHILE MY BOYS ARE SLEEP AND I AM SUPPOSE TO BE DOING MY HOMEWORK. I AM IN DIRE NEED OF A MAKEOVER!!!! I HARDLY BUY ANYTHING FOR MYSELF. EITHER I WILL HAVE A PRETTY OUTFIT WITH NO MATCHING SHOES OR A PAIR OF NICE SHOES WITH NOTHING TO GO WITH IT. WHEN I HAD MY FIRST SON, I STARTED PUTTING HIM FIRST. THIS GOT WORSE WHEN I GOT MARRIED AND HAD MY SECOND SON. I TRY TO KEEP UP WITH THE FASHIONS BUT RIGHT NOW FUNDS ARE TIGHT AND I AM SEPARATED FROM MY HUSBAND PENDING ON A DIVORCE. I WORK FULL TIME FROM 8-5 AND I ATTEND COLLEGE AT NIGHT. THIS FALL I HAVE A FULL LOAD BECAUSE I AM TRYING TO FINISH ALL OF MY CLASSES IN ORDER TO DO MY STUDENT TEACHING IN THE SPRING TO GRADUATE ON TIME IN MAY 2008. WHILE GOING TO SCHOOL, I HAVE GAINED WEIGHT AND I AM THE SIZE I WAS WHEN I WAS NINE MONTHS PREGNANT WITH MY SECOND CHILD. SOME PEOPLE WOULD NOT BELIEVE ME IF I TELL THEM THIS. I GUESS I HAVE BEEN DOING A WONDERFUL JOB AT HIDING IT. I AM NERVOUS BECAUSE I WILL BE IN THE EDUCATION FIELD AND PROBABLY WON'T BE ABLE TO AFFORD TO LOOK THE PART. I AM A VERY DETERMINED PERSON, BUT IT IS HARD AND I FEEL AS IF I DESERVE THIS. PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS SAYING THAT MY BOYS ARE ALWAYS DRESSED NICE, BUT WHY DIDN'T I DRESS UP. I ALWAYS MAKE EXCUSES LIKE: I WAS RUNNING BEHIND AFTER GETTING THEM READY SO I HAD TO RUSH AND PUT SOMETHING ON, OR I WAS SO TIRED I DIDN'T FEEL LIKE DRESSING UP. IT WOULD BE A GREAT JOY TO HAVE THIS MAKEOVER. I HAVE ALWAYS TOLD MY MOM THAT I AM GOING TO MAKE IT ON TELEVISION AND PUT DUBLIN IN THE SPOTLIGHT FOR ONCE.I HAVE THE SWEETEST MOTHER IN THE WORLD, SHE HAS ALWAYS SUPPORTED ME. SHE KEEPS MY BOYS EVERYNIGHT I ATTEND SCHOOL. I HAVE ONLY HAD TO PUT MY OLDEST SON IN THE NURSERY ONCE, OTHER THAN THAT SHE HAS ALWAYS HELPED TAKEN CARE OF BOTH OF MY CHILDREN. PLEEEAASSSSEEEE TAKE A CHANCE ON SOMEONE IN DIRE NEED!!!!!!!! I WAS WATCHING YOUR INTERVIEW WITH TERRANCE HOWARD AND DECIDED TO GO ONLINE AND POST A COMMENT, BUT I CAME ACROSS THIS. MAYBE IT'S BY THE ACT OF GOD, BECAUSE I HAD BEEN PRAYING THAT SOMETHING HAD TO GIVE. I AM TIRED OF ALWAYS GIVING UNTIL I HAVE NOTHING LEFT. FOR ONCE CAN I HAVE SOME ENJOYMENT????????????

I believe that deep in the heart of every woman is this one desire...
"To be the most beautiful woman in the world, just to my husband."
Most hide it under a mask of "I don't care if he looks..." WRONG! All I want is to be the #1 hottie for my hubby!!!!LOL!
SOOOO....Do I want a makeover?????
YOU BET I WOULD!!!!
and from the looks of this post, so would every other woman alive!
Our men are bombarded with "perfection" from evrey possible media direction, so if we love them? We want to be our best for them, without feeling like we're competing...
Only thing is...I would need plastic surgery, because having 4 caesareans, left the connective tissue in my abdomen destroyed, so even after doing 200 crunches/day, my stomach doesn't budge. Personally I think that should qualify me medically for reconstruction, but it doesn't.
I'd do it in a heartbeat, but as always, my husband won't say yes, unless it's free! LOL!
I need an EXTREME makeover!LOL!

Tyra,
Hi. In my opinion you are a down-to-earth person and I appreciate that. I am a 40-year old mother of 2. I have had many obstacles in my life from removals of cysts in my throat at age 5, to 13 surgeries to removal cysts in the abdoman and the partial removal of female parts, to having a very rare form of bone cancer at 13 with a 3-month survival rate. I gained lots of weight after having a complete hystorectomy at 28. I've been of course on the diet roller coaster and feel miserable. Both of my parents were sick and went through live threatening stages and I was there for them, helping to take care of them. My brother passed away 3 days after I was married. My father passed a few years ago and my mother passed last September. There has been so much pain and hurt and depression. I feel as though I'm so in a rut and really feel that perhaps a makeover would help me feel better about myself. I feel that it's starting to affect my home/family life. I'd like to change my career path, since I lost my 17-year job 2 months ago. But that too has been difficult, feeling down in the dumps about the too and not being able to get a positive response right away. Tyra, I really need your HELP! Thank you.

Hey Tyra...I'm writing you on behalf of all ladies 50+...there are allot of us and we are beautiful...but..sometimes we need just a little help with wardrobe, makeup and hair styles that are age appropriate for us. We have special skin/hair and size problems that the traditional styles just don't flatter us. Please help me to show these beautiful ladies that there is a way for them to dress and do makeup and hair that will enhance their "grown up" bodies...we are having fun now that we are finally adults..but we want to be beautiful too!

Hey Tyra.
My name is Ashley, I'm 21 and I live in Sacramento, CA. I would love a makeover. I feel that getting one would make me feel better about myself and my appearance. It's got to the point to where i don't enjoy life anymore. I don't feel as beautiful as everybody says I am. I guess it's because i'm always doing things for others and don't have time to do the things i want to do for me. I don't have kids but I am always watching my friend's kids and helping them out with what they need. It's hard for me to find a job, spend time with friends and go to parties or even walk down the street. mostly because i don't feel confident. I'm not asking for a free ride..I just want your help and i want to be able to have something to smile about and enjoy life again.

Hey Tyra,
Hello, I am 16 years old and I would like a favor. First of all I would like to say that you are an amazing person. I feel so weird just thinking about you reading something I wrote. Isn't that rediculous. Well anyways, I think that getting a full make-over by the TYRA BANKS a huge opportunity. I am not asking for myself, but for my sister. My sister is 21 and newly engaged. She was born with a serious handicap. When she was born she was diagnosed with spinabiphida. This is when you are born with the lower part of your spine showing. This caused many many problems. The same day she was born she was rushed into emergency surgery. My mother did not even get to see her baby girl until the 3rd day of her life. The doctors said that she was not susposed to live past the age of 3. In order for her to walk the doctors prescribed leg braces for her. These braces are from her toes to her knees. They help her walk, but restrict her from running. As she grew up and pasted the age of 3 the doctors were amazed. When my sister reached the elementary stage of her life it was horrible. As kids are kids, my amazing sister was harassed, teased, embarassed and humiliated just because she was different, walked different, and was really just being herself. She would come home and cry!!! She once was locked inside a bathroom stall by 6th grade girls and mocked. At the age of 17, she had already had 18 surgeries. You can imagen the low self-confidence she has with scares. Some of these surgeries even called for shavign half of her head. I dare you to try to cover up half of your head and comfortly walk into a high school. I know I couldn't do it. I give her a lot of credit. My sister also suffers from a small learning disability. She learns differently and somethings she will never be able to do. If you say my sister on the street you would have absolutly no idea she was unique, but she always knows deep inside her that she is different. Having the opportunity to give her the self-confidence to be proud of herself and to make her feel like the prettiest person around would mean sooo... much to me. She was just recently engaged to the nicest guy. They are perfect for eachother. I could not be happier for her. Reciving this make-over will hopefully open her eyes and show her really how beautiful she really is. She should feel as gorgious as every bride to be should. I dont know if we could afford to send her to you, but man, I see this as a chance to good to pass buy. Please cosider my sister. She deserves sooo... much.
As Always, Rachel

hey tyra,
I watch your show faithfully everyday, but I see the rerun at night when I'm getting off work. The reason I'm writing is I know you have done a show or two about plastic surgery, well I'm a full figure woman that has had 2 kids. I am thinking about having a tummy tuck, it's not being a full figure woman that bothers me it's the fact that I have, what I call, the hangover, that has never gone away. All I want is to be able to sit my granddaughter(who is 4 1/2) on my lap without her falling off (I also get bad rashes all the time under there, and it seems like I never get it clean enough, if you know what I mean.) My boyfriend thinks that I'm perfect, but he said if that is what will make me happy then I should look into it. I would like you input on this, your opinion means a lot to me.
you are the most down to earth celeb. that I have seen on tv, cause you really do care about people.
Hope to hear from you soon.
love,
robin

I am a 3.5 yr. Breast Cancer Survivor I didn't get reconstructed when I had my mastectomy, and just made up my mind July of this year to be reconstructed so my lucky date for surgery is Oct. 5th I have to stay in the hospital for 5 days. I am a 40 yr. old black woman and it hurt me dearly to lose my breast I have been through so much these last 3.5 yrs. My husband and I just go back together last year after being separated for exactly a year, he was great through my chemo, and radiation, but he couldn't take it when I was out of work for so long and just his income coming in, because after all the treatments I had my right shoulder froze on me so that meant I was out of work even long just returned 10/05. So I feel I need a makeover and maybe that will make me feel better, and after my reconstruction I can feel whole again.

hi tyra,
may i first say that i think it is wonderful that a woman has come so far and made so many acomplishments. i would really love to have a makeover. i have struggled with my self confidence for ever. i am oevrweight and really trying to lose it. even when i was thin i never saw my self as beautiful. the funny thing is i am a hairdresser and i make people beautiful, every day but i dont beleve that i am i buy clothes and shoes that when i get them home i dont be;iev that im good enough to wear them. this is also putting a strain on my marriage, my husband wishes i could have confidence in myself, so that we could get back on track. he tells me im beautifulk every day but i just tell him hes crazy. i can see it in his eyes that hes getting tired of it. i have been on my own for awhile i moved out when i was 15, i have never put myself first and i dont put the time into myself. i have always dreamed of being beautiful and i would love to feel what its like even for one day! please make my dreams come true!!

hey Tyra :) my name is paige i'm a 26 yr. old wannabe college student at indiana business college in muncie. a few cycles ago top model came to indianapolis and i tried out unfortunely i was not selected but have been trying to improve my look. the thing is i've been so desparte for a modeling career that i've placed myself in some not so good situtations for exposure in the industry. i guess the type of makeover i need is a personality adjustment to help me deal with the creeps that's lurking for young girls like myself. i saw the episode when the man was pretending to hire potential models in the hotel room, but there were other ways that i got suckered into modeling scams. please help. i look forward to hearing from you concerning this matter. crying out for help, paige
