Hi Tyra,
First let me say that my daughter and I are absolute fans of your show and we cannot wait for the start of your new season of America's Next Top Model.
Im not quite sure how this works, I have never requested for a make over. I guess I never thought I needed one. Im a 38-year young single mom of an 18-year-OLD daughter who has been out of the dating scene for approx. 10-12 years because I wanted to concentrate on raising my daughter. I wanted to successfully raise my daughter without any interference from complicated relationships. I also wanted to share in her plight of remaining pure until marriage, so I too have been living a life of celibacy. My daughter is now 18years old and ready to embark on the heels of adulthood and dating. I think it is time for me to get out there and start dating. However, I must say that I have not kept up with the Jones' when it comes to fashion and I am finding it quite hard to get used to all the revealing clothing. I want to meet that perfect mate without loosing the dignified person that I have become. Tyra, Please, Please, Please help me re-enter into this new age where fashion rules!!!
Also if you know someone...hook it up gurl! LOL
Thanks Denise

have a few wishes and dreams. Some I've given up on some I still wish. I've sang since I was little but now I'm 42 yrs of age and its kind of too late for me. I would wish to record and atleast make a record. I have sang in different activities but since I don't know the right people I haven't gotten far. The other issue is if I had the money I would fix my teeth. I always had a complex about that and still do. I don't want to smile and I feel so ugly. I had always been thin but for the past 3 years since I have had various medical conditions I have gained weight. I was told before I gained weight how beutiful and gorgeous I was now all I get is how fat I am. I feel ugly unattractive and not sexy at all. I want to feel alive and beautiful something I haven't felt in years. I want to smile and be happy. Also one more thing they always have competitions of thin women becoming top models but they never have "curvacious" women to compete. Well in my case older curvacious women. That would be something I would definately do. Maybe now I don't have the most gorgeous body but I know that deep down inside that person I was can come out again. I don't want to feel ugly, unwanted, unattractive and depressed I want to feel gorgeous, beautiful sexy and wanted. Could you help? Thank you for beautiful such a beautiful woman in side and out. You inspire me.

I was going to try to win a 'TYRA MAKEOVER', but after reading all these comments, I feel a little undeserving. I am 27 yrs old and the mother of two boys. My eldest son is autistic and my youngest was born with a duodenal atresia( which is when your stomach and bowels are not connected properly). My partner works full time night shifts as he is in the Hospitality industry, and is a remarkable father. We are a family of overcomers and, so far, have come up victorius. I live in Australia so I do not even know wether I am eligble to enter, but just in case... I want to win this makeover because I generally cannot look after myself quite the way I believe that I should. I have very long hair that has not been cut in over a year, and as a matter of fact has never ever been styled. I long to have a beautiful style cut into it, but I cannot afford it.. I am very short 5'6"/5'7" and petite and have fair skin. It is difficult for me to find clothes and shoes that fit, as I have small shoulders and,in comparison, a large bum. my feet are small.Very. I want to look fantastic for my man Glenn, he deserves to see how truly gorgeous his girl can be. Make me over PLEASE PLEASE Tyra

Hi Tyra,
I would like to commend you on your talk show. The only time I can watch it now is at 11pm. I just started back to work. My job laid off a team of employees and moved to Ohio. I have been out of work for a year. (Terrible) with bills, children etc. Anyway, Tyra I am 40 years of age, soon to be 41 in December. I have tried to loose weight for years but not much success. I have a condition-sacroidosis of the lungs and it is so hard for do this and excercise on a constant basis because of my breathing difficulties. See I went from weighing 135lbs to 170lbs in a couple of months because of it. If you know of any information that would help me to do so, please send it. I am trying to loose 30lbs to 50lbs. I love your Top Modeling show. My daughter modeled a little but because of her height, I had to take her out because she was only 12 and they wanted her with the 18 age group. She is 14 now and after I get back into the job force fully, I will assist her in trying to model again.
Thanks for listening.

Tyra,
I am a 23 year old college student. I need your help bad! I have buck teeth and I just can not get past that fact. Ever since I can remember I have been talked about and laughed at. I have gotten use to cover my mouth when I talk and not smiling or laughing in front of people. My best friend just got married this past July and I was her Maid of honor. I didn't smile in not one picture. I told her I didn't want to be in the wedding, but she wouldn't take no for an answer. I have done everything under the sun to try to get my teeth fixed, but I keep running into a wall. I have just recently moved my wedding date back because I don't want to have ugly wedding pictures. I am seriously considering taking a break for college until I can get my teeth fixed. I am the first person to ever attend college in my family. But I can't stand not being able to communicate with my classmates and teachers. So please Tyra help. I am 23 years old and still crying myself to sleep over my teeth. Regardless of your decision I want to say thank you in advance.
Thanks,
Diva English

Tyra your awesome! I watch your show when it comes on at 11:00.
I would love to be part of a makeover, at 41, I am the mother of three boys, 23, 19, & 18 all live with me and each one has a daughter so that makes me a young grandmother. Two of my granddaughters live with their fathers so at the point in my life where I thought I'd be done raising kids -- I'm helping with two beautiful little girls. I spent 12 years in the Army but ended my military career in 2005 to pursue a job with one of my old military bosses. Now I work longer hours and don't have much free time but I love my grandchildren and know that eventually when my boys are able to make it on their own I'll have my time to rest. Currently my daily routine is getting up, walking my dog, taking a shower before my two year old granddaughter wakes up, I dress her and feed her while her dad is in teh shower. Once he gets out of the shower I wake up my other son for high school (yes he has a three week old and is still in high school) I change his daughter and feed her. When they are both ready I get dressed for work. I only have one car so I juggle between dropping of my son to school because my car is too small for the all of us. I then head in the opposite direction of home and work to drop my granddaughters off at daycare, take my son to work, come back to my work which is about 15 miles past my house. After work, I do the same thing just in the opposite direction. I cook dinner (most of the time I just buy McDonalds or something), come home take the dog out, and allow the boys to take over the parenting duties. It's then time for me to study (I'm taking two online classes towards a sign language degree so one day I can volunteer in the deaf community)
I finally lay down and catch your show at 11:00 at night. I feel drained and tired ... I used to exercise and be in great shape now I've gained so much weight I feel awful. I keep looking at the bright side .. one day I'll have me time. I would like to have a more mature, professional look. As for the moment I wear my hair to work in a ponytail and don't wear makeup because I'm so tired in the morning. When I do my hair every now and then .. everyone is complimentary because they are so used to me and my quick look now. My friends make fun of me because I always dress like a bum outside work but it's because I don't have time or energy to do anything more. If you do a makeover show and select me, it would be great ... but on the other hand I know whoever is selected will be well deserving!

Tyra, first of all, thank you for your show and the inspiration you are to all of us. You are so real and such a wonderful person, we thank you for all you share and all your help!!!!
I was recently laid off after 17 years of working for a major corporation. I am a 48 year old mother of two, one is a senior in high school, the other is a sophomore in college. There are two other blessings living in our household, my sister and her daughter.
The past year has been one of change for me, my kids are growing up and will soon be gone, my good job is gone, my finances are not as secure as I would have wanted, some difficult health issues have occurred. However, there is a plan in all this I feel, an opportunity here. I keep looking at it that way, this is a time for change in me and all this is for a purpose. I just need to find all the keys to unlock the doors to success. There is going to be a great end to this story, I just feel it.
My sister has been taking care of me since October, 2006 due to health issues I have had. I was lucky enough to work from home until I was laid off so perhaps she really deserves the makeover for taking care of the house and the family!!! Finding a job that will probably be outside the house is going to be an adventure.
I would like to present myself to the world now as someone other than my children's mother and an older worker. I feel my age is beginning to show on my face and none of my clothes fit properly any more. I need to present a professional face to this new world in front of me, to look and feel like a million bucks would help.
Thanks for offering this opportunity to all your fans and thanks again for being YOU!

Hi Tyra! First I want to tell you I think you are a very awesome person. You seem so down to earth, caring and friendly. Not like most talk show hosts I think that is great. It is great to see somebody who wants to be nice!
As for a makeover. I would love to have one. I have had alot go on in my life. I am 41 years old overweight, low self esteem, but feel I am convinced from all my exes telling me how fat and ugly I am. I have had many surgeries in the past 5 years and two of them back surgeries. I have been on disability so not alot of money. I am trying to go back to college but it is so expensive and I have 4 kids. Although 2 are almost on their own. The point is I would love to feel good about myself again. I have lived through abuse both sexual and physical from my step dad, my ex husband and boyfriends, losing my house to a fire and now living in a total dump cuz the insurance didn't pay well after the fire. I think I deserve something good now. However, I don't want you to do this cuz you feel sorry for me. I would just like to look good!!
Thanks Betty!

Hi Tyra! You sexy beast! ;)
Well, I'm a 37 year old mother (who they say looks 27, but I digress) that would love to have her hopeful 16 year-old 5'11" Top Model to be (when she turns 18) that is - :)
Anywho, as a single mom I've always had to struggle a little more, and work a little harder, just as most single moms.
As I sat thinking just what I could get my daughter for her sweet 16 b-day, that wouldn't cost me an arm & a leg, I was of course stumped - seeing as though she wants one of those big parties like those spoiled rotton girls on that Super Sweet 16 show. Where she got such expensive taste I'll never know.
Anyway, after quick deliberation that she certainly wasn't going to be having one of those, I thought about the possiblity of her getting picked to have a make-over by none other than Ms. Tyra Banks! What do you say Tyra, will you help make my little girl the happiest little girl in the world on her sweet 16 birthday?..
We're hopeful!!
Sincerely,
Cate & Shayna

Hi Miss Tyra Banks,
I love the show just wanted to say that first. ok My problem is I was almost 300lbs and in Jan 2007 i had Gastric By-pass due to health reason from being so big. I am 25 yrs old mothe of 4 beautiful children. i am married to a wounderful man. Ok were to start I have lost about 90lbs to date but I need a makeover cause I feel so ungly in everthing I put on but I know hoe to fake it and know onw can tell how deppressed I really am. All my hair has fell out and its really short and bold in some spots. i have stretch marks all over my body. I have a pouch from 4 c-sections. My legs and arms giggle so i don't wear shorts or to short sleves cause of how they look. i have been wearing wiggs for acouple of years now and would love for some one to help me get my hair to growing or a good weave lol. I would really apreciate your help. This might make me forget about the rest of my problems like the fact that I can't work cause we only have one car and I can't afford daycare for my little ones. Thanks for listening and if you can help I would like that if not I still love you. God bless!!!

Hi, Tyra,
I have never asked for anything like this and even asking is very out of character for me. I am 33 years old and I have 4 children (11,10,8 and 8 months). My last child, Jakob, was a very difficult pregnancy. I was on bedrest for almost 7 months of it. Now that he is here I have had issues with postpartum depression and bipolar disorder. Everything is starting to turn around, but I feel like I keep going and going and hope that the whirlwind of life stops getting so hectic soon.
I work for 3 to 7 colleges at a time as an adjunct professor (both online and face to face). I also stay at home with our son most of the day and try to take care of the house. I am the main breadwinner of my house while my husband works to take care of our health care insurance.
Anyway, I am about 100 lbs overweight now and self esteem is really starting to get to be somewhat of an issue. I normally don't have a problem with it, but I have noticed that I don't dress for my position/career or for my size. I need a little bit of direction.
Can you help?? :) Thanks! Robin

Hi, Tyra
I just turned 20 years old. I have been married for 1 year and I am a mother of two. I have a two year old daughter and a 7 mo old son. I had my daughter 2 days before I turned 18, I know I am young but I still don't look like a 20 year old. I am a stay at home mom and my husband works everyday 5 days a week. He works midnights and I am at home all day and night with my children. I got a pass to the gym and I have lots about 25 lbs and I am only about 8 lbs from when I was in high school, but we just don't have a whole lot of money for me to go out and fix myself up. We just purchased our first home, so all the extra money we have we put it toward the house. I am a great mother and wouldn't give that up for anything but I just need a little Tyra help. Please give me a make-over I needed when I was 18. Thanks

Hey Tyra,
I don't have any sad stories or low self-esteem issues to address and because of that some may think I'm not as deserving. I just want to be pampered for a day. See, I feel that it's my nature to always do for others when I can and so when the few times it's reciprocated, I don't know how to handle it. It's hard for me to let others do for me without saying, "Don't worry about it" or "That's okay!, I'm sure you have other important things to do". Now, I'm ready for my day. I'm even thinking about actually asking my friends to throw me a party for my 28th birthday coming up next month! That's a huge step for me, I don't like asking for anyone's help for the fear of being a burden although I know they love me and would do anything for me. So, if you're looking for someone to spoil for a day, I'M YOUR GIRL! To be honest with you, I would be satisfied just rocking that Hengst dress on my birthday that you wore on the 8/20/07 show. That dress is bad!! Oh, yeah, I love they way you are keeping your name positive in such a negative world-stay you!

Hey Tyra, I'm a senior in high school and in about 8 months I will be graduating. I want a new make-over to help me better myself and look like i'm ready to explore the world. I would want this more than anything and this will give me a boost of confidence because my motto is that "if you look good then you feel good and if you look good people will take you serious".

Hey tyra,
I am a college sophmore with a problem. I am almost 20 years old but I often get mistaken for a 15 year old. I am 4'll and I have a young baby face, that I know will benefit me later on in life, but right now it is more annoying than beneficial. I was pretty confident in highschool but now that I am around beautiful college girls that look their age, I find it hard make friends and be confident. But now, I do not think I look sexy or beautiful. I am the token "cute short friend." I am used to looking up at people (literally) but I am finding it hard not to compare my ghostly pale, 2ft something, stubby legs to average women's. It is even worse because I cannot find clothes that fit me anywhere that I can afford. Petite and "short" lengths are too long! And tailoring can cost more than the clothes themselves! Whenever I see makeover shows they rarely are about super short petite women. Maybe they agree that it is too hard to find fashionable sexy clothing for women like myself. I want to show people that short people can be sexy and fashionable too! Any help or advice even through an email would be amazing! and maybe we will see a petite model on antm one day?
