Hi, Tyra
I have just recently graduated from college, and my mother has also just graduated from a business school, so we are both excited to be in the working world. But it has been a very hard year for the two of us. My mother was recently diagnosed with MS, and I was diagnosed with Lupus at age 10. It has been really hard for both of us to come to grips with this. Recently as part of my condition my hair has began to thin and it really upsets me. If my mothers condition worsens in years to come she may not be able to work. All I am asking is for a chance to appear on your show for a makeover, it would mean so much to us to have something positive happen this year. We have been throug a lot of family issues that I could address with you later. We really need this Tyra. Thank You for your time.

Tyra,
I cant believe I'm sending this e-mail. Computers confuse me, yet I managed to find my way here. I must be quick due to this computer tends to shut down when it gets hot. I'm requesting a make over for my husband who has recentely lost 30 lbs. due to a heart attack this past may. He is a very hard worker (concret finisher), and is always putting others ahead of himself. He makes me feel like a princess, and treats me like one every day. I could have lost him, and thank God every day I didnt. Because of our situation we have had to put our home up for sale as well as a car and some of the furniture. He has gone back to work, but getting caught up has been a chalenge. I'm just thankful we have these material items to sell, as soon as they do this will take a big load off my sweet Darrell. As I said , he is always doing something to help others, either giving of himself, or taking the bread and butter off his own table to feed someone else. I would love to see something good happen for him. He lives in his work clothes, or jeans and a t-shirt, which hang off him due to the weight loss. He is some what bald, and is 5'6. has hazel green eyes and is as cute as a bugs ear. I realize you have many folks sending in for this who are probably more worthy, so I ask only for a consideration to my request for Darrell. Thank you for reading this, hope everything is spelled right.

Hi,
I only put my initials, after you read my email, my reason will be clear. I am 43 yrs. old. On 12-15-01 I was sexually assaulted. I have spent the better part of the last 5.5 yrs struggling with anorexia and bulimia...I feel like I am finally getting over it but I still feel EXTREMELY uncomfortable with my body (and how I look in clothes...I live in sweats and cami's) in addition to the damage to my front teeth...it was a violent attack. I had part of them fixed unfortunately, my husband was laid off and our dental insurance ended before I was able to finish the dental work that was needed. I know I sound shallow and there are women who are much more needy than I but if you ever have an opening in your show I would love to be chosen. Thank you for listening.

I just got done watching your show and I must say you are a fabulous person with many talents. I am constantly amazed at how you interact with the people around you.I am just a simple person just like all the other women out there trying to get part of the action. I know there is a slim chance that I, out of one hundred thousand women would be picked but hey!... what the heck JUST DO IT! as the saying goes.
I am a single 44 year old mom wanting a different look.I have long hair like yours, it just seems so blahhhh. I think it is time for me now, I need a bit of fluff and powder to this hard working mom. I work for God,can you work on my style? I think I lost it some where in Az. in the divorce....
Thank you for the consideration Tyra!

Dear Tyra,
My name is Briana and I'm 18 years old. This last year I have been through more hardships then I could ever expect. Being forced to leave highschool, almost kicked out of the family, to almost loosing my life, I thought it would never truely end. Most kids can agree they have had their fair share of harassment. But I can honestly say I have been laughed at one too many times. In the middle of my senior year I finally couldn't handle it anymore to the point where I actually began making excuses to not go to classes. It got to the point where I told my mom I refused to go to school anymore so she had to sign me out. It was then when my life began to fall apart, and depression kicked in. I started hanging out with the older crowds. I spent my time lying to my parents, partying with 21 year olds, and ignoring my friends. One Wed I was laying around and turned on the T.V. Your show was on and you were talking about how girls felt about themselves and others, and how we weren't really alone. It was then that I decided to go back to school and finish. I was so scared going back that everyone would find, out that I sit in the hallway to do my work by myself next to the door, and only come in when I have to turn in my work. I have got my life back on track with a 3.9 GPA and an even better relationship with my family. After being harassed your whole life you start to loose confidence in yourself. I would be grateful for any small change you offer, just as long as I can feel that much better about myself because of it. Thank you.
Love,
Briana

Dearest Tyra,
I so need your help! I am 42 years old and I don't look my age. That is a sweet blessing; most people guess my age between 28-30. But, this blessing also causes me problems in a fashion sense. How do I dress age appropriate? I tend to dress as a younger woman; but at times Ijust don't feel that what I am wearing is best for my actual age and don't want to be perceived as an older woman trying to look or dress as young "hoochie". It also causes me problems in my work attire. Please Tyra help me! I am a single mom of 3, and have a very limited budget. Please pick me and help me find the perfect fashion age1
God Bless You,

Hi Tyra,
I'm a huge fan of yours. I love watchign the way you can transform peoples lives. It's good of you to do that. I also enjoy your beauty advice, there's things you talk about that I don't think i've heard anyone mention. Well whatever it is I feel you have the answer.
I'm 20 years old and i'm turning 21 on Nov. 11. Since I hit puberty I started breaking out with acne. I've spent so much money on acne clearing scrubs, blackhead removers and acne soaps. Sure my pimples go away for a while but the blackheads are always there. I hate it my face would look so much better without all those blackheads. Help Tyra!!!! I have a huge school debt of 42,000 dollars in student loans I can't be spending all my cash on acne medication. I would love a transformation for my 21b-day.

Tyra,
I am a huge fan of yours and i think that you are an amazing person.I am 20 years old, and you have been such a role model and insperation to me ever since i was a little girl. You have accomplished so much in your lifetime, and you are one of the most beautiful down to earth women in the world, and what i really love about you, is how much you care about your fans, and those less fortunate than you. I am in desperate need of a makeover. This past year has been really tuff for me, my grandfather passed away and shortley after that, my fiance broke up with me because he "fell out of love with me". I later found out that i was pregnant with his child and i suffered a miscarrige. I have been batteling depression for some time now, and about a week ago i got in a really bad accident on a kawasaki mule. It flipped over giving me a concussion, and breaking my arm in half. I also tore 3 ligaments in my wrist and the doctor says that even after 5 months of wearing a cast and atleast two more surgeries i might never be able to move my wrist again. My self esteem is so low, i can barely stand to look in the mirror anymore. Please help.
your friend,
Debby

Guten Tag, Tyra!
I think you're wonderful. I need a makeover. I don't expect one after this, though...I am 22 years old. I have been a fan of yours since way back in the day, like elementary school. I've watched ANTM & The Tyra Show from the beginning but lately, you've been...wrong. The whole banning smoking from ANTM bc little girls look up to your potential models is crap. You've got those girls on your show posing nude, getting drunk, posing as heroin junkies, fighting. I think this whole smoking ban fad is terrible. EVERYONE knows smoking is bad for you, even little girls. They start teaching you that in preschool. MacDonalds is bad for you. Heart disease is the #1 killer in the United States. NY recently banned trans fat in the city. That is great, but I can't help but feel like we're turning into that movie Demolition Man. Can't eat junk food, can't curse, can't smoke, can't have sex, etc. etc. And you are now a part of it. Wouldn't it be great if we were all size 4s, non-smokers who all say the right thing, do the right thing and act right. Basically, what I'm saying is that I don't think you realized what you did.
I still love you. Just wanted to give you my side. Much Love Mama.

Dear Tyra,
I need your help! Im a 23 year old running an after school program for a private preschool. I have worked there for three years and will be getting a chance at a promotion to be an administrater for child development (Assistant Director). Being a tomboy and the big kid that I am, I wear nothing but dickies, all-stars, t-shirts and an apron. Unfortunately this will not cut it for the office position I will be taking. Being recently divorced I need a fresh start. This promotion would mean the world to me.
I have NO idea how to "dress for success" and need your help.

Hello Tyra,
My name is Dawn. I have been happily married for 12 years and been with my husband for 17. We have 5 children ranging from 2 years old to 17 years old.
I have recently gone back to college ( I have been a stay at home mom for 17 years)and will receive my Associates Degree this Spring and continue for a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work.
I have had the same basic style(hair and clothing) for at least 20 years and could definitely do with an update.
I think my biggest issue is my smile, it is the absolute worst. I am desperate to have a new smile to begin a new career path. I believe that it would boost my self confidence and strengthen my ability to make a good first impression while interviewing and interrelating with students and professors.
Congratulations to whomever wins-this is a fantastic opportunity!
Thank you for the opportunity to enter, and good luck with the decision, it is going to be difficult.

Hi Tyra.
I am 22 years old. I don’t have the greatest confidence. I have struggled with my weight for most of my life. Last year when I got married, I was at my heaviest. I weighed 150. Seeing my wedding photos inspired me to lose weight. Now at about 115 pounds, I am much happier with my weight. I am stuck with no clue what to wear. I’ve been wearing hand me downs and clothes that I have had since high school. I would like to gain a more sophisticated (and classic) sense of style. I am still wearing low cut flares (circa 2002) and old Nike tennis shoes on a regular basis. Nearly everything is out of date by at least 3 years. I am truly embarrassed to go out in public, for I know I don’t dress my age!
I had stage one of braces when I was younger, but it didn’t do the trick. My mouth is small and crammed with teeth. My overbite is so bad that I usually don’t feel comfortable smiling in pictures. My bicuspids are cramming all of my front teeth together. Dentists say that by the time I am thirty, I will have on-going headaches due to the improper alignment of my teeth. On top of that, the six or so fillings I have in my mouth need to be replaced. They’re the old (unsafe), mercury-type fillings. I also have somewhat of a social phobia, so I find it really difficult to sustain much of a social or career life. I don’t feel that I am living up to my potential. Please help me gain confidence. I want to look like the mature woman I feel that I am on the inside.
Most respectfully,
Stephanie

HEY TYRA!!I AM 14 YEARS OLD AND I AM A HUGE FAN OF YOURS!! I LOOK UP TO YOU, AND WISH I COULD BE AS BEAUTIFUL, OR COME SOMEWHERE NEAR, AS YOU ARE. MY SELF-ESTEEM IS PRETTY LOW AND WHEN I LOOK IN THE MIRROR I USUALLY START TO CRY. SOME PEOPLE TELL ME I'M PRETTY BUT IT’S MOSTLY ONLY MY PARENTS AND I DON'T BELIEVE THEM. I WANT TO HAVE CONFIDENCE AND PRIDE IN MYSELF, BUT WHEN I LOOK IN THE MIRROR, I THINK THAT THERE IS NO REASON FOR ME TO. PLEASE GIVE ME A CHANCE TO LOOK AND FEEL BEAUTIFUL. THAT IS THE ONE THING I PRAY FOR EVERY NIGHT BEFORE I GO TO BED, AND NO MATTER HOW MUCH I PRAY, MY PRAYER DOESN'T GET ANSWERED. I BEG OF YOU TO PLEASE HELP ME ENJOY MY LIFE AND ENJOY MY NEXT FOUR YEARS IN HIGH SCHOOL, AND LET ME FEEL PROUD TO LEAVE MY HOUSE. THATS ANOTHER THING, I HATE LEAVING MY HOUSE, BECAUSE I FEEL ASHAMED; I DON'T WANT PEOPLE TO SEE ME IF IT ISN'T NEEDED FOR ME TO BE SEEN. I CAUSE MYSELF PAIN, AND I WANT TO STOP DOING SO BUT I CAN'T. IT'S HARD FOR ME TO TALK AND SAY THESE THINGS. MY MOM TAKES ME TO A THERAPIST,BUT I HAVE NEVER SAID THESE THINGS TO HER. I'M SORRY FOR SPILLING ALL THESE THINGS OUT AND TELLING YOU THIS. THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE THESE THINGS WITH YOU. I REALLY APPRECIATE IT.

Dearest Tyra,
I'm an average 14-year-old girl in my freshman year in high school, but I am much more worked up than you can imagine. I know I'm a bit young to be even considering putting make-up and all of that other jazz in front of my work, but it's a little tempting not to. I have all honors courses, and I am keeping my grades up as best as possible. This leaves me little free time to be playing around with my hair, do my nails, go buy new clothes, or even go out with my friends on Friday nights. I can't say I have a deathly disease that has affected my appearance, nor a challenging life that I have to live through every day, but I do work hard to be where I'm at, and I get barely any recognition. Our school is holding its first dance (homecoming) for this year on October 20th, and I really want to look great for just that one night. It's not really about impressing my date or my friends, but to impress myself when I look in front of a mirror thinking, "Golly, I’m beautiful." There are plenty of other women to choose for a makeover, and I'd happily be considered as one of them. Thanks for everything, Tyra.

God Bless You,
Peace and Love...Angelina Velez 785-537-7895 or cell 785-236-9832

Hi Tyra,
I'm a huge fan of yours.
