I work at a group home for teenage moms and your show comes up in discussion often. The girls here all are working towards continuing their education, securing independant housing and child care. These residents have to face a world every day that would be happy to ignore them. Their bodies have changed due to pregnancy and they often end up wearing clothes that don't flatter their new figures or empower them to carry themselves with pride. Tyra..this is sammelee that commented on your other thing about beauty tips for all ages..i just found out that was for only tips until i saw this where you do makeovers and stuff..i'm 15 years old tyra and turning 16..i want to see on my birthday my mom look pretty and not frumpy looking anymore..she used to look really pretty when she was younger until she started doing alchohol about like 3 or 4 years ago..now she dresses as if she didn't know what year it is now..but i really feel bad for my mom because due to the alchohol drinking..she now cries because she is getting old and now she doesn't know what to wear..we live down here in the philippines tyra..but we usual visit america because we moved here from there..but my mom has no time to make herself look pretty..she sometimes wear my dads clothes and i don't know why..she says their comfortable..she gets drunk when she feels bad..and i feel bad when she gets drunk because all her sadness is going to the bottle..she feels that she's too old to walk around in style..i would like to know tyra if you can help my mom in her looks..i would really appreciate it if you email me back..but if you can't help..its okay..u can give me tips on how to help my mom..thank u tyra..

I work for Pizza hut and deliver Pizza. I worked 94 hrs in hollidays in 2 weeks. I have little time. I have the right idea just not enuff time to get together i really need help . I have long brown hair, med build.

My husband and I met in High School! About 2 weeks later on September 11, 2007 there was a fire at our Apartment Complex. We didn't lose anything but we haven't been able to go home since then. We have 2 kids a 3.5 year old named Giselle and a 8 year old named Raymond. My husband's name is Mike. We have been lucky enough to be able to stay at Motel 6 for 2 weeks with help from the Red Cross and then Stayed at the Vagabon Inn for a while with help through the Neighborhood services in South San Francisco, CA. Now we are staying in Hayward, CA for the time being because of a wonderful friend of mine. Her name is Ana Vivas. She owns a house in Hayward. Here is the story her mother and father purchased the house and Ana helped them out with getting a loan for them in her name. It was going good for a while. Then her mom was diagnosed with stomach Cancer. Ana was terrified for her mom and dad. She of course helped them financially for a long time. Then she just couldn't do it anymore. It was putting a financial strain on herself, her husband and her their 2 children. She has her own house to pay for and has to make sure her family had everything they needed. Ana's parents soon moved out of the house and went on to live in a apartment in Hayward to be close to the doctor the her mother was seeing for chemo. Ana has tried selling this house and has not had any luck. The housing market is really bad and now the house is going into foreclosure. Our time there is limited as we don't know when we will able to go back to our apartment. We really do miss home.=-( But we appreciate everything that Ana has done for us! I love this girl so much! I want to help her but there is no way I can do this! The house is a 2 bedroom 1 bath and has a garage and a good sized backyard. We are in financial strain as it is and we can't afford to buy her house, and also we love South San Francisco and really don't like living in Hayward. Anyways, Ana is being harrassed everyday by the bank regarding the loan! They think that calling her everyday she is going to some how come up with the money! She even wrote them a letter explaining her situation and they were very heartless regarding it! 2007 was a hard year for all of us. Since all this Ana's good credit turned to bad, and she just wants this house out of her name and I hate the fact that this will be on her credit! Whomever takes this house will have to give it a lot of tender loving care. It really needs a lot of work. She now has a strain on her relationship with her parents. I know it is killing her inside. She is upset with them for putting her in this financial problem. But she still loves them very much. Tyra I know this is a lot to ask, but please if you can help out in any way you can, I would really appreciate it. I know Ana and her family would too!

I wish for a makeover, just please dont cut my hair that is all i ask. I'm not confident at all. I always hear about how im just a little cute. When your a sophmore in high school and look like you can be a 5th grader its hard to get guys to look at you. Though I do have a boyfriend now, I just feel like I have more than just this girl whos looks so young. I dont want this makeover for my boyfriend or anyone but my self at that. My confidence I no has a lot to do with my look so I do believe that this makeover could change how i look at my self. Hi, I'm writting this for my wife because I think she deserves to be madeover. I can tell she's not satisfied w/ her appearance, which has a major effect on herself from the inside. In high school, she was SMOKIN'-she was a top swimmer on her swim team & was always in shape. But in college she fell into depresion, which only got worse when we found out she was pregnant. She wasn't that big at first, but then around her last trimester, she grew so rapidly that she got stretch marks from her stomach down to her knees. She went from being 5'7 120-125 in highschool to about 190. She tried SO hard to get back into shape, but she only lost about 1/2 of what she wanted to. She HATES wearing bathing suits & nice tops because of her weight + the scars, & usually wears jeans & old t-shirts. Also, she's had acne for about 8 yrs & nothing seems to work. Pro-active irritated her skin & it's too expensive, & over-the-counter stuff wouldn't work. We can't afford a dermatologist. Also, (she'd probably kill me if I told you this) she's had two teeth in front missing since she was in the 6th grade-it's some sort of hereditary thing. She's had a retainer w/ fake teeth on it for the past 5 or 6 yrs, when really it was supposed to be only temporary. However, we can't afford the surgery. She won't go ANYWHERE w/ out having enough makeup on, and it takes over 2 hours for her to get ready-her reason: she hates her nose, chin, eyes, skin, forehead, hair etc.-that there's nothing to work with so she has to paint a whole new face. She sells make-up so she gets to make-over other people, but she can't seem to makeover herself. She stays home w/ our daughter all day because it would be pointless for her to get a job where her earnings would go straight to child care. I know this is hard on her being cooped up all day. Almost all of her friends are away at college, so she mostly stays at home. I wish she could have a makeover to build her confidence & also to help "restore" her to the way she once was. Thanks.
