Hello Tyra from the land of Oz! i wanted to let you know that i am a HUGE ANTM fanatic, i have heard people at my work talk about it and i had never watched, but MTV has been showing old shows and me and my daughter Kyndal have been watching, she is so into it! the other day i was doing dishes and i had put the mail on the table from coming home from work, the first thing that she does is gets on her skirts and hills and a little tank (that usually NEVER matches) well she started playing with the mail and i heard her say girls we have Tyra mail! i thought it was cute and started listening to what she was saying. she went on to say ok girls be ready tomorrow at 8am we will be going to washington(do not ask where she got this from) and then you will face the judges! i thought that it was so cute, we sit sometimes at night and watch the re-runs and before the last commercial we try to decide who goes home, she does a pretty good job at guessing who is going home. thought that this was cute and wanted to tell you.

Hey Tyra! I'm a seventeen year old senior about to graduate in a couple months. My family and I are currently living at a hotel because of our financial situation which has forced us to move out of our old house. On the 7th, it will be a month since we've lived without a home. Fortunately we have managed to find a suitable house and will be moving in at the end of next week, yet we don't have very much because a great deal of our belongings had to be thrown away during our move due to storage space. Sadly my mom will not have any bedroom furniture due to my parent's recent separation, therefore she plans on sleeping in my bed.

First of I just want to say that I love your show. I watch it every time I get a chance. I am writing this in response to the tailored by Tyra home makeover.
I have a friend name Shanara who deserves and needs a home makeover desperately. She reminds me of you in a lot of ways because of her genuine personality. She does everything in her power to help the people around her, but she doesn't have much so most of the time she just gives herself. Although she struggles to make it, she still manages to provide her two sons with everything they need and even some of the things they want.
I am very proud of her because she has overcome so many obstacles in her life. She rents a small home now, but prior to that she was homeless for three years. This makes her thankful for everything she has, so while she doesn't have the best of everything, she takes excellent care of the things God has blessed her with. She is looking for an apartment now because her lease is almost up and the bills that come with a house are overwhelming for her. She also is trying to find a better neighborhood to raise her kids in. Within the last month she has went through two break ins. The first time she came home to discovered her house was empty, left only with heavy furniture. She called me in tears. I felt terrible because I was miles away and could only lend my ear as she vented instead of my physical presence to serve as a sense of security. The second time she was there as the vandals attempted to climb through the window in the wee hours of the morning. This time she managed to intimidate the perpetrators by turning on the lights and screaming, "I have a gun!" If you will provide a home makeover for her it will be a blessing as well as the best house warming gift imaginable.

I am in desperate need of a make-over. I am 22, a country girl from Okla, and have been married 4 & 1/2 yrs. I'm graduating in May with my BS in MGMT & need a new professional look. I'm 5'5", skinny, with dark brown CURLY hair, dark brown eyes, and a heart shaped face. I don't really wear make-up and don't necessarily know how to do it properly. I cannot do a good smokey eye to save my life. My hair is medium lenth & super curly. It's a mess and I usually put it up so I don't have to mess with it. I normally just wear jeans and t-shirts because they're comfortable. I don't have very good fashion sense either.

I've never written to a talk show or any other kind of show before so this is very strange to me. I'm getting married at the end of June and would LOVE a makeover! I don't think I'm ugly, my body isn't perfect, but I deal with it. I don't have the best smile in the world, but my dental insurance will not cover cosmetic surgery to fix my problems. I was born without a couple "adult" teeth and have had to wear partial dentures since middle school. I hate them and wish I could get rid of them, but I cannot afford to do it. My fiance is a school teacher and I am a teachers aide, so our income is at a minimum. I just want to have great photos for the wedding and be able to smile confidently in front of my friends and family and finally feel absolutely beautiful on what will hopefully be the best day of my life. Oh my gosh, I'm crying already! Please help me feel and look stunning and FIERCE on my wedding day! It would mean more to me than I can describe! I'm 16 years old and the one thing i would love is a make-over! My whole life all I've wanted to be is pretty and have that nice body. I play sports, hang with friends and have a job. I watch your show almost every day and I love the way you respect and love your mother, and so do I with my mother and I think she deserves a makeover. The reason why I want this makeover for her is because my mother hasnt really done anything for herself. I mean she gets us whatever she can afford to buy us without thinking about herself. We are not the wealthiest family but we have eachother. All my mother does is work because she wants us to have things, but by her working and providing for us we struggle to make ends meat. She's always working and being that all she wears are scrubs. Well, I would like to submit my mother for a make-over. I love her so much and she works so hard. She is 51 years of age and I know she could be beautiful. She doesn't have much time for herself. I just moved out on my own and since I've been gone she only has my dad and her mom to take care of now. If only it were that easy though. My mother took her mother in about 7 months ago, and it has been stressful. She takes her to all her doctors appointments and she even takes her the the hair salon, but she never gets her hair done while she's there.
My mom is the only one that works. Dad had kidney failure about a year and a half ago, and every since then I don't think my mom has taken a moment for herself. She is constently busy working or taking someone to the hospital. She is always putting others before herself. I just wish for one day things could be all about her. I wish I could just make her feel special and beautiful.

Hi! My name is Heather and I am 20 years old. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Chris, going on 3 years now. We have two beautiful little boys, Vincent (2) and Dimitri (2 months)that are my heart and joy. Chris is currently in Marine boot camp and will graduate on the 22nd of Feburary. He has never seen Dimitri. Dimitri has been in the hospital since Jan. 2nd with RSV and pnumonia. It has been really scary for me.He was on a ventilator for 3 weeks, in the Pediatric ICU until 3 days ago and we still have a week of recovery. When we first got to the hospital in Athens (my home town) the doctors thought it would be an over-nighter, but then my baby boy got worse and they transported us to MCG's Children's Medical Center in Augusta.My 2 year old has been staying with my sister and my church has been praying for me. my father-in-law on the other hand has been a near constant source of stress. My family loves me, that i know, but Chris and i struggle financially because our familys are just as tight as we are now. My body has been a quiet prick in my mind for me since high school. I am not very athletic, never have been. I would love to be fashonable,have nice clothes,style my hair, ect, but one, my fashion sense... needs to be expanded and two, i just don't have the money for it (i don't even own a blow dryer!). My husband loves me to the end of the world and back and he regularly tells me i am beautiful. Sometimes, when i study my face in the mirror i get glimpses of what he sees, but i see to many flaws (pimples, buck teeth, over bite...) I'd like to capture what he sees and know how to accent it.I just do not like to look in the mirror much any more. i am only 20 and i have the stretch marks and loose skin that accompanies my children. Not to mention my c-sections scar. I know that i could gain 100 pounds, never wear make-up, get wrinkles, grow a third eye.. and my husband will always love me and see me as pretty, but he is coming out of boot camp looking more fit and better than when he went in(and he was already handsome of course) and i just want to have the confidence to stand next to him and feel like i belong. I have decent brains, a love for children, and a love for life, but confidence.. not so much, i just do not see a reason to have it right now. When my husband and i can finally be in enough of a finacially stable condition for me to go to collage to become a teacher and hopefully touch children's lives, i'd like to be the woman they look at and ask," you have kids?". i know that may be a long shot, but with your help i might be able to pull it off.
