Hi Tyra,
I love your show and I think you are an inspiration to young girls out there. You show them how to love their selves.
I am a 21 year old college student with two part time jobs. I am engaged to a wonderful person and I would like to have a make over by you before we get married. I know there are other people out there who probably need it more than I do, but I thought I'd give it a shot.
THANKS

Hi Tyra. I am 23 years old and have been married for 2 1/2 years to my hero. My husband has been deployed to Iraq for a full year now and he will finally be coming home in a few months. I want him to come home to a KNOCKOUT!! Please let me elaborate...just one month before he was deployed last year, we found out I was pregnant with our first child. I went through the entire 9 months of pregnancy without him...including the birth. He scheduled his R&R around the due date but Riley, our son, was just too anxious and became a part of this world on Halloween morning 2007. Riley's first trip outside was to meet his daddy at the Atlanta airport when he was just 4 days old. When he saw me during his R&R...I was still chubby, still hurting, and not even in the slightest way did I look "sexy". Of course he didn't mind that I looked that way, but I DID. I was in-between sizes so I had a choice to wear my maternity clothes that were slightly too big, or wear my pre-prego clothes that were all too small. I looked aweful. Since then, I have joined a gym, lost 36 pounds, and I had braces put on in August 2006 that will finally be off in three weeks! When Ron comes home it will be the first time in 15 months that he has seen my body like it was before I was pregnant AND me with beautiful, STRAIGHT teeth!Words can't even discribe how perfect I want everything to be. I miss him so much and I want him to see just how sexy his wife can be. My husband has so bravely sacrificed so much more than many people realize and it brings tears to my eyes every time I hear him say "I wish I could hold my baby boy". Please Tyra, help me look my absolute BEST and give my husband a well-deserved homecoming surprise.

Hey Tyra,
My name is Emily and i think that my mom should get a makeover. (Her name is Stacey) She has had a lot of stress lately with bills, cancer, and her close friend dying, just thinks like that. She has gone through breast cancer for the second time in the past year. (She still has one surgery to go, but she just went through chemo and radiation. She also just had a really bad scare about it being back in the other breast.)She isn't feeling that good about herself since this happened and she hates how she looks. She thinks she is over-weight and she doesn't consider herself pretty anymore. My mom is a really busy person now a days. She has to take care of me and my dad, and there are a lot of rough patches with my dad and I. And some really bad stuff is happening to my family. But I just think that she needs a makeover to boost her self-esteem and to make her see that she is still really pretty and to have more confidence in herself. PLEASE give my mom a makeover!!!

I would like to submit my mother for this Tyra make-over. My mother is 51 year old stay at home mother. My mother, Diane, has always worked but when we recently moved to Florida she quit her job so that she would be able to get everything settled for our family. Right now, we have a bunch of family members coming down to visit one after another. My father is a business man and is either traveling or at the office until late at night so my mother is home with whichever family members are there, and driving my brother where he has to go. I put my mother through a hard time as a teen. I used to run away, I was in a bad relationship, and at one point got in a little bit of trouble with the law. My mother stayed by my side through it all and helped me get out of my hard time. Now I attend college, and she supports me even more now.
Also, years ago she started getting pains in her cheek. It was a nerve and they couldn't figure out what to do with it. They had to bolt her head down, and operate on her head. That operation unfortunately did not do anything. Whatever the nerve thing is, it prevented her from eatting and talking most nights. She would just sit with her hand on her cheek with pain on her face. It was so hard seeing her go through it. Just recently, she went into survery for it again. They had to put her in a machine for an hour with her neck to the side. The only thing is that she was born with some sort of thing where she can't turn her neck to either side, AT ALL. She was in pain the whole time, it was lazer surgery this time, and so far seems to have worked but it's too soon to tell. She was always so strong through it all and still managed to do her regular things with the family. She had the nerve damage through the hard times I gave her, so I can't even imagine how that was. I never want to know.
Okay so my mother has had the same hair style since she was a teen (I have the pictures). There is not much that we can ever even try to do with her hair. It is short, and very dry. As for her clothes, well I would never wear them. They are not completely horrible, but my mother is beautiful and works hard to help everyone around her, especially her family. She deserves to look as beautiful as she is on the inside but both of us struggle with the fashion aspects of life.
Pleaseee Tyra. My mother is so hard-working and would do anything for anyone. I want to do something back for her to show her how much I appriciate her and let her have her time to shine.
Thank you :)

Hello Tyra, I sure do need a BIG makeover. I had my right leg amputated about 5 yrs ago. and all I ever wear are jeans and tennis shoes. My husband always ask me to wear a dress, but I am very self concious abot my leg being seen. And then I cant find a pair of jeans that really fit good. They always are either to tight over my prostethic leg or they get stuck. I always feel that everyone is looking at me and laughing, cuz my jeans are always crooked. I've also lost 40lbs while my husband was in Iraq. I wish I could have the courage to wear a nice dress, or even shorts. I cant do that in public!!Please help me!!!! oOh and by the way your show is amazing!!!! I like how you help people.
Thanks for listening!!!

Hi, My name is Paula and I'm 29 yrs old. I watch your show from time to time whenever I can get a chance. And my most favorite is when you do the makeovers. It's amazing how you can turn tomboy like and baggy clothes into a beautiful shocking look. It's amazing how they come out looking so beautiful.Something I've always wished for.I'm like a tomboy and I live with a friend of mine who has a 16 year old son who makes fun of me all the time.Saying I'll never get anyone, always making fun of the way I dress.(Which it's not bad)always putting me down..I look at myself as not pretty and that I'll never mount to anything. All because what I'm told and thrown in my face. And I take that information in and I don't like the way I look..I hate looking in the mirror,I just dont like it.I just wish for one day to look beautiful and have that 16 year old say,"I'm sorry for calling you names and putting you down." To me that would be a dream come true.I'll be 30 in October and it would be lovely to definitely go through a change..Ha Ha..
Thanks Tyra, Any helpful hints would be great..Thank you and A very nice show and person you are..

hello tyra! hopefully ill get to go on a road trip and see your show
live this summer! im writing because i want to get my mom a makeover!
She is a beautiful person inside and out and i want her to see what i
see. She has been through a lot in life and she still always puts her
family first! She has been through 2 brain aneurisms, and 3 c-
sections! She could definantly use a little fashion help.... if you
look at pictures when i was born you will notice that she still wears
a lot of the same stuff and im almost 21! She has also gained a little
bit of weight since her good friend past away and even though she is
still petite, she doesnt have a very good self image anymore. She has
had pretty much the same hair style since ive been alive, and she
almost always wears blue/purple eyeshadow no matter what she is
wearing. I love her to death and i think that a makeover would give
her a better self perception and help her love her body and self more.
please help! hope to hear back!
ps.... she has no idea im writing you!! :-D

Dear Tyra,
First I would like to tell you how much I love you. I love your talkshow and your hit tv show America's Next Top Model. You are always positive and you are someone I look up to. Now, I want to tell you about my mom. She is my favorite person in the whole world and I think she needs a makeover. Within the past years my mom hasn't been dressing like she used to. She always wears mine and my brothers' sports clothes. In July of 2006, she had a baby boy and since then her clothes don't show how great of a person she really is. She always puts herself before me, my three brothers, my dad, and everyone else. I really want her to be happy with her body and herself and I hope you can give her a makeover and show her how beautiful she is.
Love Always,
Megan

Hi Tyra! My name is Mikaela and I want to submit my mom for a makeover. No one deserves it more than she does. She just turned 43 on feb. 22 and she didn't get nearly what she derserved. My dad and her own a barbershop and salon in Fresno, Ca called Can't Touch This. She works hard to provide for her five children & she's active in church as the children's church leader. But her problem is that she's always doing for others and never herself, she's so loving and caring and she really deserves this! Hopefully you can give her a makeover or maybe you can makeover the salon? Please help her Tyra! Thanks and God Bless You!

Love Always,
Megan
