I have a friend/co-worker that can use a make over. Her name is Tanya and she is a single mother of five and also has a 8 month old grandson. She works six days a week to support her family and is the sweetest lady you have ever met. She tries her hardest to balance work and time with her kids and I have the most respect for her. She is positive and is an extremely hard worker no matter how long the week or day has been. Please help my friend Tyra she desperately needs it!!!

hello tyra, i have benn a fan of yours forever. i am 23 years old, i am a nurse, and wear scrubs majority of the time. always been a tomboy, never felt beautiful, low confidence and my friends always critisized my dressing. sometimes i dont know what to wear and go out, my first thoughts are scrubs to go anywhere.i am also so self conscious of my weight. i will be grateful if you help me dazzle my friends, people around me and myself and gain the self confidence i have been searching for. thank you for your time. thanks.

Hey Tyra,
My husban is the best guy in the whole world. He just bought a home for us and our 2 kids. He wanted it to have everything the kids and I would need. We did not have a lot to spend tho. He gave up everything he wanted in a home to fit the needs of me and our boys. His space is a rundown garage. the walls are rotting away and every time it rains it floods. I feel bad that he did the best he could and can not leave his tools in there with out worrying about them being ruined. If you can will you make over this space for him? Thanks Michelle

Dear Tyra,
I have read a lot of these stories on here and I don't know if I'm as deserving. I'm 31 years old, married and have three of the most gorgeous kids you've ever seen! (not biased at all lol) I've always been kind of a dork. I have never been thin but always had lots of friends. I haven't ever really felt "pretty", my husband tells me I am all the time but I just DO NOT see it. After I had my 2nd child I lost two of my front teeth, I wear a partail denture to hide it, but now my two other front teeth are starting to break. I really need some help, I try to teach my kids to make healthier choices and to take care of themselves but when I see myself in the mirror I wonder who am I to tell them these things..."look at me". I don't work and by husband is in retail management, so we don't have a lot of money to spend on my teeth. I've almost forgotten what it's like to smile without thinking "Did they see it?", or just simply being paranoid that everyone's looking directly at my broken teeth. People are probably reading this thinking big deal just a couple of broken teeth, but there are so many things that go along with that because it's really a first impression to the world, just one smile. I'm sure it's depressing read all of these poor me stories but I would love to be made pretty, just for me. Like I said before I have never been thin, I've always been the "fat friend", you know the one the skinny girls kept around to make themselves feel better. I remember a good friend of mine had the nerve to pinch her skin together in front me and said "Look at this fat", she wore a size 2!! I said to her, while grabbing a handful (wearing a size 22)saying "this is fat!!" I'm tired of feeling this way and pointing out the obvious. I dont want to be this fat, ugly "thing", I want to feel great and look great so I would love your help.

I cry everytime I look in the mirror. I feel so insecure about my looks.. My family tells me I am beatiful... But how can i believe them when I don't feel it my self. There are so many things going for me... I have 2 wonderful kids ages 19 and 23. A super family... I just am so sad... I cant change how I feel about myself.

My name is Sonya and I'm a single 37 years old, single parent here in Mississippi. I had emailed your show early in the year about a terrible relationship that I was in, in which I left. After that relationship I had pretty much determined that I need to take sometime to myself and heal me before I go and get into another relationship. However, faith somehow presented me with an opportunity that I couldn't resist and I say faith because I wasn't looking for anything. It turns out his company in New York contacted my company in Mississippi for us to do business. Our company signed up with his company and we started working together only on a professinal level. We did a lot of talking on the phone about our deals and we both noticed a spark between the two of us so we exchanged personal telephone numbers. We talked about business during the day but in the evening we talked about our personal life. We did this for about a month in which we lost contact with each other. We were out of contact with each other for about 6 to 8 months. However, about 5 weeks ago I was cleaning my voicemail on my cell phone when I got a voicemail from him. I then called him back and we have been talking every since anywhere from 5 to 6 hours a day and we really are talking which is great! However, I'm really terrified of meeting him. Yes, we have never met!!! I'm a full figured sister which he knows but I'm having a terrible time of finding clothes for me that are nice. Can you and you show please help me?

Tyra, I am 55 and I am lost in knowing how to pick out anything that looks right on me. I still wear the same clothes from 20 years ago. I feel a mess!! My daughter,25, is a single mom of two. She works full time, taking on-line school and helps me and her Dad, who is disabled. She has a chipped tooth that affects her self esteme, and she is a beautiful woman. If you have a mother-daughter make over on your show, maybe you would consider us.

Hi Tyra, My name is Leisha, I'm 17 years old and I live in Ohio. Today is Easter as you know, and my mom needs an extreme makeover! My mom doesnt do anything with herself. Shes a painter/contractor and all she does is work. Today it really was brought to my attention on how low her self-esteem is. My mom wont wear a low cut shirt because she doesnt have enough cleavage, or she wont wear these jean because she doesnt have a butt. I mean the list goes on seriously. Shes severly self-concious about her stomach because shes had 3 children and she calls it a roadmap on her tummy. My moms stuck in the 80's, shes got this poofy blonde curley hair with bangs that has to be dyed blonde every 2 1/2 months. Shes in desperate need of an updated wardrobe because she has these pants that are too short or too big and I dont think she owns anything decent.She shops at the dollar store sometimes. Shes always on the go and can never find the time to pamper helself, not to mention shes working constently so she can pay the bills and save enough money to hopefully start college next year.(for nursing) My mom really deserves a makeover, shes been through alot, shes recently getting divorced from her 2nd marriage of 7 years this april. Hi Tyra!! My name is Jacqueline, I live in Lindenhurst, NY & I am 14 years old. My mom is 50 and she HATES everything about her appearance... When we go out she tries not to talk because she's so embarassed about her teeth. Her hair has been colored so many different shades of red I couldn't count if I tried. Today was Easter & we sat at home & didn't do anything because she was so embarassed. My sister & I try to get her to go have some fun like she used to but she refuses to looking the way she does. Also my brother was in a horrible accident which resulted in a tramatic brain injury. She was by his side for the mouths he was in the hospital. My mom and dad are devorced and my dad is not much of a father. Hi Tyra! My geometry teacher is in desperate need of one of your makeovers! She works super hard for all of her students to do well in her class; she makes review sheets and answer keys.
Of course this takes a toll on her physical appearance. She comes to school in a ponytail (almost everyday) which I feel hides her beautiful hair. She also has pretty eyes and she doesn't do anything to show them off! Not only that but she has massive bags that make her look like she hasn't slept for days. Her outfits include jeans topped off with a baggy shirt. Plus her jeans always have the "teacher" chalk spots.
I hope she can qualify for a makeover! Best of all, she lives in Brooklyn! I think she deserves this makeover because she always puts others before herself. I hope you can give something back to her after all she gives to her students.

I like your show. I could really use a makeover. I am 31 years old and I suffer from Relasping Remitting Multiple Scelorsis. I have had a major set back and have been unable to work for the past year. I have also been taking chemo treatments every three months for the past year. My teeth have really suffered from them so I don't like to smile. I would also like to know how to wear my makeup and clothes the right way so that I don't feel like my husand of ten years and my four wonderful children are ashamed of me. I really have low selfesteem because when I was growing up I was always picked on about being ugly and stupid .

I am writing to you because my cousin Alexis could really use one of your incredible makeovers to boost her confidence and to pamper her the way she is constantly taking care of others. Her parents have just informed her that they are getting a divorce, and have inadvertently put her in the middle. Alexis is so upset over the divorce but she tries so hard not to show it, because she is the oldest child in her family and feels like she always has to be the "strong one." She rarely ever thinks of herself, because she is constantly helping her friends and family. Please, Tyra, give her the much-needed opportunity to finally have the chance to de-stress and be pampered. Alexis really deserves it. I dont know what I would do without her. She has always been there for me whenever I needed a shoulder to cry on or a little friendly guidance.
