I am writing to you b/c I am a 28 year old girl struggling with both her health and her weight. I have had health problems since I was 5 and there are some days that I am in so much pain that I don't leave the house.Like a lot of girls I dreamed of being a model like you. Unfortunately they found out I was growth hormone deficient really late in life so I was lucky to get to 5'2". Last September my endometriosis had gotten so bad I had been in the bed for 6 months, and I finally had to give up on my new dream of having kids and have a hysterectomy. That put forty extra ounds on me and I was one of those people who ate everything they wanted without gaining weight. SO now I am struggling and trying to lose the weight. I am finally losing some of it with the help of my doctors but it is so hard to look in the mirror and hate myself. I hate what I look like and even who I am inside b/c I am so sick and I can't even work a regular job so I may never find a guy that wants me. I am in counseling now b/c it's been almost 2 years since I was raped and I was a virgin and I am still suffering from the loss of the fact I won't have children. If anyone out there needs a makeover to make them feel better it's me Tyra, please help me to atleast see something I like in the mirror.

Hi Tyra! First of all I want to say EVERY GIRL/WOMEN DESERVES A MAKEOVER EVERY NOW AND THEN IN THEIR LIFE AS A SELF TREAT!! But since we can only consider one person I will have to talk about me. I am a married 22year mother of soon to be 2 yr old and a 2 month old. My fashion sense has always been comfortable but wearable. Growing up lets put it this way I was the little tomboy who grew into a girl, ha ha. Nowadays, it seems like I just wear the same thing everyday. Personally it hurts me on the inside because I feel like my husband deserves better. I have looked at all his past girlfriends and they are all skinny girls, then I look at myself and I am just thinking "What the hell was he thinking?" HE tells me I am perfect and I believe him it's just me I don't believe myself and it's also that I want to be pretty and skinny like the past girls. I think it is a self esteem issue. Recently, I have decided to do Weight Watchers and still have yet to go to my first meeting. Just this makeover would mean the world to me.

Hi Tyra, I watch your show a lot, Just love ANTM, every wednesday night. this is my problem need to know what to do. I had some loose teeth, well I had them removed and decided to go with a denture implant. after getting the screws in my gum, and wait for 3 months, I went back to have the denture implant in. well it was ti big did not fi, and the dentist pulled two more of my teeth for no reason, just trying to get the denture to fit, then he kept saying I just don't know what went wrong, Iam in the dentist chair thinking I have to go to work the next day with no teeth in my top mouth. He push ,pulled nothein work. I was sent home looking like a beaver with big teeth. I cryed, my daughter cry all the way home. my daughter would not come near me for how I looked. my husband states something has be done about this. The next day he called and asked if I would come in. I went in, and was told he would do the dentures over, that was fine and I would not have to pay. Then he states he may have to pull allof the bottom teeth. I looked at him and said if you pull my bottom teeth how am I to chew my food. I am paying him, and this is what he say. well you are going to loose them anyway witha bad attuided, and was just snapping at me for no reason. I wanted to cry but I was alwasys told by my grandmother to be strong no matter how someone try to tair you down, hold your head up and keep walking. My feelings was hurt, after all I have gone through. I let him take the mold to be fitted for another denture. He then try to take some off the one that was sent to fit so that my mouth would closed. He worked with it for a long time, but I could have see that he was mad, upset and taking it out on me for nothing. My lips have neve been pull so many times as it did with him trying to make it fit. Well he got it to look a litter better that I can go to work until the other one comes in. After I got home discussing the problem with my husband, I could not go back after the way I was treated by the dentist. I seek another. I did went he looked at it and stated the work was just wrong and he did not understan what this dentist was doing. well to make a long story short. I need my teeeth clean, which the last one was to do but he never did that. So I had them clean also had a deep clean in order to save my bottom teeth. I had such a big dental bill, I am trying to pay this off before I can have any more work complete. I n the mean time I am still waering the dentures that are to big, my speech is not good and my position is case management. I am embarrassed to speak. I need help with a dentist that you konow can help me out. Thank You and keep up the good work.

Hello Tyra, My name is Franky. Im 16 years old and I attend Framingham High School in Massachusetts. I have always had problems with trying to be more out going and not “Shy” but I have an eye for Fashion. My mother, who I love a lot and loves me the same is always there for me when I need her and is always trying to help me sometimes, but I don’t know what holds me back so much. I have a big problem with it in my life sometimes because I want to go to college and then pursue a career in Fashion Designing when I finish high school, and name my clothing line, “Just You”, but I don’t know if I have what I need to do that. Things like public speaking and trying to meet new people has ALWAYS been a big thing for me and I know Fashion Designers cannot have those kinds of fears in doing what they do. My biggest influence with the whole Fashion Industry is Ciara. I know she’s not a fashion designer but she’s 22 years old and modeling for RocaWear, which is one of my favorite clothing lines, and shes also young, which shows if she can do it, then I can too. My other favorite clothing lines are rapper, Eve’s Fetish Line, DKNY, Apple Bottoms, D&G, COACH, Hollister, Abercrombie and Fitch, Michael Kors and the list go’s on. Ciara also has always had a major impact on me because of her life story, dancing, music and experiences in life. I want to believe that I can do the certain things that I love so much; with out having to fear a big crowd or having my fears stop me in my life. Hello Tyra my name is Franky. I’m 16 years old and I live with a really, really strong and hard working mother of 4 children. She works everyday except for Tuesdays and Wednesdays, other than that; she’s working and we hardly get to see her. She’s always working because she feels if she stops working than the house will fall apart because of rent and everything else. I’ve always wanted to work a part time job after school to help her and myself for college but I can’t get a job because shes always working and I have to baby-sit my younger brother and sisters. Since she’s been working at her job she barley has time to fix her self up like she used to. Im her oldest my brother is the second oldest. He’s 9 my sister, the middle child is 7 and I have a 1 year old sister who is going to be 2 on the 23rd of April this year. Tyra my mother has been going through a lot of tough times and days; especially now where she doesn’t know where she stands with the father of my baby sister. She also feels like she doesn’t know where their relationship is going and it affects her Marjory, emotionally and physically. My mother used to LOVE dressing up weather it was going to the movies a meeting or family get together, but sometimes I wonder where it all went for her. I know sometimes she feels a bit uncomfortable because of her weight, but my saying is “Weight is beautiful!” SO WHAT! She recently cut her hair for a change in herself to see how it went. She liked it for a while but now I don’t know how she feels about it anymore, and I don’t want her to think there’s nothing for her to do about her beauty when really, she’s a beautiful person and of course mother also, inside and out. I loved when my mother would dress up and be able to love the way she looked at that time. She’s a very competitive person especially when it comes to having to be that way for her and especially her kids. There was a time when we had nothing and she’s fought for everything we have; such as where we live the things my brothers and sisters and I have, sometimes the things we’ve always wanted. My mom would love surprise makeover from you tyra, she has no idea I have written to you and she has always wanted me to write to you for a really long time.
