Hi Tyra, you are my inspiration. My name is Sabina, I'm 23 years old from Brooklyn NY and I always dreamed of becoming a model. I took professional pictures and sent them to few agencies since I was 17, but I got no respond. My problem is that I;m only 5"00 tall and most agencies require at least 5'6. This that mean I can't follow my dream anymore because of my height? Tyra help!!!

Do you know anything about Tristar Entertainment Network in Hollywood. They say they are a model and talent development company but I don't know if they are legitimate. I've been doing research online and can't find anything but their webpage. You're help is greatly apreciated, thank you. -Emyli

Hello.
Seems like you have been getting a lot of comments about being short. Well here is another...I'm 5'2 and small. I get people all the time who tell me I should model. But the only thing I know I could get into is people taking my money just to make me LOOK like one and that is NOT what I want. I WANT to BE a model. I have the dedication, the drive, the energy, the beauty to be one. They say that all the clothes are made for tall women to do runways. Well there sure are enough short women to start making shorter clothing to have us short women rule the runway! Don't you think??? Women who are short want to see what could look good on them, and what would fit them. It's so hard finding clothes that are not too long. We could be the ones that rock the runway for short women! :) Please email me if you have any advice! :)

Thank you for making people aware of this scammers. It’s sad how some people fall victim to those deceitful individuals who prey on our hopes and dreams. Speaking of these clever deceptions, just lately, I found an article here. http://personalmoneystore.com/moneyblog/2008/08/16/harvard-gets-hacked-by-scam-mortgage-site-video-proof-exposed-by-the-personal-money-store-no-fax-payday-loans/ This about hackers that disturb google results. The major targets are the reputable non commercial domains such as .edu.gov.org. This is major concern since these acts are done just to gain profit and some unfair advantage. Let us be wary of these acts of deception. I’m glad too that personalmoneystore.com posted this very informative and helpful article. I hope everyone reads this and may it serve as a warning that scams are prevalent these days. Let us all be wise.

Hi Tyra,
Am Jacky all the way in Germany, I ve always had a dream that ill be a model, as a kid i always wore my mums heels and cat-walked, imitating the models on TV, and since then ive always fell inlove with the fashion and design industry, well i come from Africa, where until recently, Art had not been appreciated as a way of life, the other thing is, i didnt grow up to be 5'7 as everyone included i expected, but i am a shortie at 5'2, i always psych myself up and say, I WILL MAKE IT, either as designer or model, i believe you could be 5'7 or higher, but you are not able to challenge the runway, its about passion and thats what has gotten models like you, Naomi Campbell, where they are today, afterall if they have +size models on the runway, why not short models.......I am usually so determined...but its like theres no light to it...but i believe and i believe that someday somehow, i will be able to let the world know, that it takes more than being 5'7 to be a model, and also help other girls like myself...I love you Tyra...and your show, keep it up!!!

Hi Tyra, My name is Jasmine and I'm 14. I want to model but I'm not tall enough I guess. On ellite it says that you have to be 5'8" but I'm only 5'4", does that mean I have to grow 4" just to model??
