I am a new single mom and I love being a mom. I want to be able to expose my son to different things to give him an opportunity just to experience life and find out what he wants to do. People always joke and say he's so adorable and he should be a gerber baby. So why not I wanted to know what should I know about baby modeling???

Hi Tyra! I am an 18 year old college student and for years I have been longing to become a model. I would love to do runway and be in the spotlight but because of my height and weight I highly doubt that is a possibility. A few years ago I found out about print modeling and I would love that also. I am about 5'4" and 180 pounds. I have been letting myself go but I am exercising so that I can get back to about 140 145. I saw an ad for a modeling agency in the newspaper called Glamour Model Talent and I have gone there before and will go back soon. Please help me live my dream. I love taking pictures cause I love to show off my dimples. Thanks!!

Dear Tyra,
I recently went to Elite modeling website, there i sent them my pictures and all that good stuff. That was the first agency and only time and i have done that.A couple of weeks later a modeling scouting company called me (not elite)(universal something). They seen my pictures and said that i had a very unique look to me. Said they had auditions for me already. But they want money, i dont have it.If it is not a scam do they still want money is there any free ones? lol im broke and my family is too. no joke. i want this to happen soooo bad. but i dont it will if i dont have the money. i need your advice!!

Hello Tyra my name is Kelli and I'm from Pgh. I've always looked at you as a mentor in my younger days and since you launched America's Next Top Model, my hunger for modeling has grown. I've submitted an application along w/ photos to Elite, Ford, and other angencies to see how I qualify. I just regret waiting so late when I've been hearing you can be a model all my life. Can you please point me in the right direction w/ tips on getting into the industry and what not to do or follow.
Sincerely,

I am a 23 year old mother of 2 girls...My oldest daughter is 4 and wants to be a model. I honestly feel that she has what it takes but I feel that I've already been taken advantage of. I just paid $150 for her to be in a baby pageant put on by the modeling agency then had to pay another $225 to have her pictures taken to be put on the agency's new talent poster and it has been a few months since all of this has been done and I haven't heard anything from them since as far as any jobs...the only thing they call me for is more "projects" that she can be in but that I have to pay for. What should I do? She is looking forward to doing this so much!!

hey Tyra, I have a question concerning modeling agencies and whether they are legit or not. I have done numorous auditions in both Ontario and Saskatchewan where I am living now and there is one I am thinking about and was wondering if it is legit. It's Sweet Management. She came up to be in the mall and asked if I've ever wanted to be a model. I am going to go on with it all but I was curious as to whether it is a good idea. Thanks

Hi Tyra,
I am a former fashion model that has been out of the industry for about 10 years. However, every time I meet someone they still ask why I am not a model? I am 37 y/o, but most people assume I'm in my mid twenties, which is why they assume it is a viable option for me. Am I too old to do commercial modeling? If not, where is the best market for this? I where a size 6 dress and 8 pants.
Thanks Tyra

Dear Tyra,
I'm frustrated that I was almost scammed into buying classes for modeling through a local "reputable" modeling agency. But I remembered what I watched on your show, and reality kicked in for me. It was very difficult for me to turn it down since modeling has always been a dream for me. But I really couldn't afford the $2550 that it would cost for 5 short months. I'm going to school full time, interning at an elementary school teaching english to adult learners, volunteering at another elementary school tutoring non-english children on their english skills, working 2 1/2 part-time jobs waitressing, and I have a wedding to plan for next year (mine). But I would really love to do printwork; call me crazy but I've always wanted to be one of those picture frame models....how cool would that be to be in a picture frame?? I'm not tall enough for runway, I'm only 5'2" and 95 lbs. I'm S. Korean-American, if that makes a difference, but I would really like your input on it, and I respect you as a person, a role model, and someone I could trust. Thanks for taking time for reading this.
Sincerely, Lisa
