Hi Tyra,

I'm sure you've gotten hundreds upon hundreds of e-mails concerning modeling, but I would like to know how to get into the industry a little bit more than i already have. I am 5'2" so i know that there's no way that I could do runway, however, I would be interested in print or commercial if possible. I would also like to get into the TV and movie industry. I know my height makes is somewhat difficult in some aspects, but all of this is my dream, and I have the drive, dedication and motivation. If you know of anywhere to get an "in" or any tips or pointers, please let me know. I would be so grateful. Thank you for your time.

Hi Tyra, I am 28 years old, 5'7 and have always wanted to be a model. i took part in a beauty pagent which i won but was never paid any price money. i have also had several nasty experiences trying to become a model. Now i am in london going from agency to agency but i am being told i cannot make it in london or i should try a commercial agency because of my look. i have been wondering if it is my amateur pictures that are the problem but they tell me at the agency it is fine for now.I know at this age it will be tough though i look a lot younger, they dont believe my age at the agencies i have been to. I am becoming a little desperate and have started answering newspaper ads which i know might not be a wise idea and thinking of how to contact photographers like Mario Testino who have made supermodels out of the likes of nadine willis and other girls he has worked with. Tyra please what ddo i do I want something positive this New year or I could give up and get a proper job as I have a university degree already.

I am 13 years old and I really want to model, but I'm not really sure where to start. I took your advice on being safe and doing research but I'm still not 100 percent sure. I've watched America's Next Top Model since cycle 1 and I absolutely love it. I've learned a lot from both your shows. Do you think that I should start in modeling school or go to an agency? Tyra you are a very smart person so i was just looking for some advice. Just like every other person that sends you something i want to be model not just a model but high fashion model. My biggest fear is someone saying your too fat or something. I already have eating issues and if someone told me that i would get so much worse. Please help.

Tyra I have always wanted to be a model/actress. When ANTM came to Houston my 11th grade year some of my teachers convience me into going. I went to see if I could get through the door, but I wasn't tall enough and i wasnt 18. I cried the minute i turned around and walked back to my car. my feelings were so crushed i was mad at myself for even going. Can you come up with a show called the NEXT TOP TEEN MODEL or something so that the girls who arent old enough can do it? I am 17 years old in the 12th grade now and i preparing for college, but would like to be a model. Its seems like most models start at 13-16. Well im much older then 16 and it seems like im not getting any where but just taking pic. on myspace. What can i do to find a good modeling agency and get work in the houston area? I tried page parks, Neal Hamil, barbizon, etc but they all want to charge me. I was told if they really want me then they wouldnt charge me. Can you please help me?

Dear Tyra, I have a two year old daughter who takes georgeous photos. People have been telling me since she was a baby, that I should try to get her picture in local ads and magazines.Tyra I need your help. I want my daugter to have options and different experiences that may become something greater.At two years old she know when top model is coming on, and mocks the girls from the show. Tyra I really think my daughter has the face for catalogs, or something greater. when she had informed me of wanting to persue a career as a model- actress honestly I was very concerned... But she informed me of your background and your acomplishments; so I began to watch your shows. She was right!! your TERRIFIC!! Please allow me to get down to the nitty gritty.. My daughter is 12 with a very grown up attitude and knowes where she is going in her life. she is 5'7" with great personality. I allowed her to go to a talent search with a company looking for new talent in the mall (you know how that story is) out of 130 people they narrowed it down to 12 and of course her looking and acting the way she does she made it. But she has know experince and they were wanting me to send her to some classes which I tuely would like to do, but I'm a single parent who has rasied 2 children on my own
for over 17 years. and I was wondering if you could help me help her? I'm really desprite!!!
