Fashion Tips from Tyra!
Tyra surprised five women with incredible makeovers personally styled by her! She hand-picked every element of their transformations, with amazing results. Tyra shares these fashion tips, so you can incorporate changes into your look too!
Tyra Tip: If you’re petite, wear dresses knee or tea length to appear taller.
Other Petite Styling Tips:
• Higher waistlines, like baby doll or empire that start below the chest, can make you look and feel taller.
• Hem your pants! A better fit flatters and can cost as little as $5 at the dry cleaner.
• Choose straight or skinny jeans that are a little longer and cover the back of your shoe creating a lean, tall line.
• Platform wedge shoes in a nude tone elongate legs.
• Try a shorter jacket that hits above the hip or at the waist.
Tyra Tip: Brows should never be shaped like commas, they should gradually get smaller at the end.
Sutan’s Tip (for drawing a well shaped eyebrow):
For beginners, try a shadow not a pencil for easier control and a more natural faded look.
• Connect the dots in this three-point process. Use a pencil as your guide.
• The First “dot” is the angle from the corner of your eye to your brow line.
• The second dot is the height of the arch directly above your pupil.
• The third dot is the length use the outside corner of your eye.
Tyra Tip: For a flattering bust line, show some skin!
Full Figured Style Tips:
• Showing skin draws attention to curves and keeps you from looking dowdy; wearing baggy clothes head to toe looks frumpy and your shape gets lost.
• When choosing a long sleeved dress, get a scooped neckline and show leg. If you’re cleavage shy, try a halter dresses and flaunt your shoulders.
• Proportion is key! If you have a loose fitting top, wear a straight or A-line skirt to the knee
• Keep necklines smooth. Ruffles or pleats around the neckline add bulk.
• Foundational undergarments are important! Try an extended panty to smooth lines under your clothes. Tyra loves Spanx for a little added body contour under form fitting clothes.
Tyra Tip: For shinier processed hair, use a conditioning treatment.

Tyra Tip: When wearing jeans with boots, try a detachable jean stirrup to keep your jeans in place.

• If you find jeans you lov, buy two pairs and hem one for flat shoes and one for heels.
• Pockets shape the booty! Small, high pockets make the booty look bigger and rounder. Flap pockets are good for flat fannies. Large pockets and pockets set too close to the side seams make hips appear wider. Low pockets make any booty look saggy. The best pockets are centered and in proportion to the jean.

Hi Tyra,
Love your show. I am 59 years old,a retired nurse also I wears many hats in my church and throughout my community. In church I am one of my organization first ladies and I have returned back to school to be a guidance counselor in the school system. Meanwhile, I daily come in contact with females who are seeking for advices. I have met so many black young female who hate their appearance. I spend the majority of my time at school and church trying to convinces these girls that "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" that is the beauty inside of them that people can see at a far distant without heavy makeup,bling,bling, brand name clothing expensive purses and shoes to match. I liked those things too when I was their age but I had to wait a while before I could enjoy some of the finest things in life. Tyra,true beauty get better with age and many of these girls need to slow down and enjoy life. I see older women dressing like their teenager daughters and the daughters dressing like
video rapper's hookers.
Please create a show at least once a month for school age girls between the age 9-21. My plans is to open a teen clothing store and after school place just for them to come and hang out.Our town is small and most of our community churches are busy with building funds for the church construction and remodeling and most of the businesses are family eating places with little or no children entertainments.The majority of our children comes from homes with young parent with little or no education or being raise by grandparent who are unable to support our grandchildren habits. Please created a fashion show program especially for them.Can you show them how beautiful they're without long eyelashes, heavy makeup, the weave hair styles that are out of this world. I believe these things are increasing our sucidual rate among teenager girls. Teenager girls tolerating violent physical abuse by boyfriends and older men that who support their physical wanna bee appreance that is over their budget. Thanks.

Hi Tyra ! My name is shadajah johnson and I am from Queens NY. ummm I am really having a hard time looking for a prom dress. A lot of seniors in high school are. I am pear shaped but I want to know what dresses are in style for 2008. Maybe some tips on makeup and shoes. I like elegance and class. A lot of these prom sites are really expensive and revealing with their dresses.
