Autumn Kisses
Tyra's Makeup Artist Valente Says: With the cold season upon us, many are experiencing dry, peeling, lack-luster kissers. Well, trade those chapped lips in for a healthy, sexy, moist pout! The skin on our lips is very thin and delicate, therefore one must take extra care to nourish and protect it from the elements.
First off, if you are experiencing peeling, try Tyra's favorite all-in-all antidote - VASELINE! Moisten your pouter with H20, and follow with a generous amount of Vaseline. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes (you can pass the time by taking a shower or brushing your teeth.) After the allotted time has passed, wet the bristles of your toothbrush and gently brush your lips in a circular motion. This action sloughs away the dead, peeling skin revealing soft, attractive, kissable lips! To keep your lips looking sweet, olive oil is a favorite home maintenance balm, and natural shea butter is great natural lip balm.
Autumn lip colors that are hot for daytime use are nudes, golds, caramels, dusty rose and lightweight chocolates. Tips for applying your daytime lips:
- Start with a flesh tone lip liner, slightly darker than your natural lip color.
- Apply the line over the entire lip. For those with thin lips, draw slightly over the natural lip line and fill in the lip.
- After applying liner, dab a creamy hydrating lipstick onto the lips with your finger for a soft stain. This little trick works very well with dark lipsticks that you would like a softer version of.
For a sexy evening pout, apply lipstick directly to the mouth. Remember to use moisturizing lipsticks and glosses to protect that delicate skin from the cold. Take care to have a happy healthy kiss this fall - your man will appreciate it!

My lips always dry out. I used to get very bad chaped lips and it would even start to crack open around my lips(like on my face). And vasoline does work. It makes mine softer. I don't think i can go 5 min's without putting chapstick or vasoline on though. I'm so afraid my lips are going get like they use to. Is it possible to use too much chapstick? And what do you think is the best kind?
