Tyra, wat more can i say than wow. i love ur show's! my mom and i both do. we get all into watever is happening on the show. well all i can say is wow. this past weekend i was with one my guy friends and my cuzin. we had just got out the club and we were just driving around, almost getting home. we were driving on a big street but there were no cars(no shit, its omaha). anyways, there was this lady/bum (not really sure)on the side and she came up to the car. at first i thought it was a guy and my cuzin was putting the window down. (i'm thinking, wat r u doing!?) she had really big glasses on, maybe 30-37 years old, african american, big clothes on, but it was really really cold. she was asking for some money bcuz she wanted to go somewhere with her son which was 6years old and she said he was disable. she also asked us for a ride, but she wanted a ride (which would have been like an hour). but we couldn’t. so my guy friend just gave her some money, i'm not sure how much. the lady thanked us and went off. my cuzin then said wow, that was very convincing, I wonder if it’s true. Our guy friend then said to us, ‘do you believe in God?’ us: yea(duh rite?) friend:‘But DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE IN GOD? You know how they say God will come back or that he’s probly here already just testing people, I sometimes think God might be a bum and he’s testing me, that why I cant say no to bum.’ When he said that, I was thinking oh my god, wow. That’s different. I’d never really thought about it that way. People change ur life and u learn new things. So now wat? When u see a person on the street/ bum, will u at least give them change? I think I will. Its kind of the same thing as you on the street as a bum. People passing by trying not to look at you and not knowing your really TYRA. A famous model! I saw your show on homelessness and it really touched me. My fiance' and I have been trying to find a way to get involved in my community. We joined habitat for humainty in our county, and we will be volunteering at a soup kitchen for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I also will not be buying any presents for my family so that I can donate the money and buy presents for children who need them more, and to buy food for the local food drive. I am posting this because my fiance' and I thought of a great way to try to help the homeless but need help promoting it. We do not have a lot of money. We are both fulltime college students and only work part time but we are doing what we can. We came up with the idea to make care packages for homeless people and keeping them in the car and offering them to homeless people that we see. Some of the items we want to include would be a toothbrush, toothpaste, washcloth, soap, a blanket for the cold, and nutritional items such as nutragrain bars and granola bars. I hope that many people read this posting so that this idea will catch on. There are so many people out there who need this help, and I cannot be every where at once, nor do I have the money to travel around the U.S to buy and deliver these gift bags, but I hope that whoever reads this will try to create a group of people in their own community who will be willing to buy and distribute the items. A lot of women are very self concious about there figure and how they look. They believe that when trying to go out and meet new people they don't give them the time of day. I think that if you went undercover with different looks. Blonde hair, braces ect.
Would you get the same atention as the other girl standing beside you in a skirt and prada shoes?
You would be really surprised with the results!

I was watching the show today, which featured Nelly Furtado, and I just wanted to add that I am a huge fan of hers and respect her and Tyra very much. When Nelly came out with her album "Woah, Nelly!" I was obsessed with it and was extremely inspired. See, during that time I was pregnant with my first child and everything was going wrong. I got fired for being pregnant at six months, the father of my little girl dumped me at seven months, and was completely alienated by everybody that was closest to me. I had just barely turned 20 and had no idea what I was going to do, so I ended up placing my baby girl for adoption. My whole family disowned me and I came home to nothing but Nelly's cd and my favorite song, "I'm Like A Bird." I sang that song everyday to my daughter and that song was the last words she heard me sing. Obviously, because of the show I was bawling and want to thank you for having her on. I just found out yesterday that I am pregnant and am very grateful for the music that has helped me through this hard knock life. Thank you once again for being an inspiration for people who feel they can't make it. I am very happy now, but it took a lot to get through it and strength and I am grateful because of people like you and Nelly.
