Nasty Morning Breath, Clay Aiken & A Modeling Trick!
Hey there!
I am sitting at the computer right now typing away, and I haven't brushed my teeth yet, so I've got some serious morning breath. Why do we have to wake up with such foul smelling mouths in the morning? Why can't I wake up with my mouth smelling like mouthwash??? I flossed last night, brushed with an electric toothbrush, rinsed with strong cinnamon flavored mouthwash and used my tongue scraper - yet I still wake up with a mouth that smells less than fresh.
Do you know what a tongue scraper is? It is a device that removes any gunk from your tongue and keeps your breath fresher longer. You can buy it in the drugstore. It is great in the morning, cuz it does get that extra bit of bacteria out of your mouth so you'll stay fresher smelling longer. But at night...
Someone that has the freshest clean smelling breath is Clay Aiken. I know cuz he came on my show, and I had one of the most fun interviews with him that I have ever had. I am so in love with him. He is so funny, loving and just darn amazing. He even sang with me. Yes, we did a duet - I was awful, he sounded like an angel. Clay has the most loyal fans in the world. They call themselves “Claymates.” I told Clay I am a “Clay-frican American,” meaning that I am an African-American that loves Clay Aiken. Get it? You gotta see how much fun we had. The show airs this Wednesday, November 22nd.
Oh yeah, and I ask Clay the one question that everyone is dying to know the answer to. You gotta watch!!!
Much Luv,
Tyra
P.S. I'm going to brush my teeth and gargle now, so I can be so fresh and so clean today!
P.P.S. See the photo I have attached below? This is me right now. I took it right at the computer. I am doing a little modeling trick. My eyes looked a bit tired this morn, so I am pulling my skin slightly at the temple to tighten the skin around my eyes. It's kinda like an instant facelift. Try it. It works!!!

I'm Rebecca, i am 18 years old from Liverpool, UK. And it is like 4:10am over here and OMG you are helarious, I am sitting at my laptop right now laughing.
Before i go i have to say i like that picture, you look so much fresher and relatable. And you seem to look much more bolder without make up on.

Hey Tyra..
I know this is an old post but I just read it and wanted to share something with you. I never wake up with funky morning breath. The smell is actually coming from your stomach and is of the food you have the night before. The reason I never wake up with morning breath (as I was told by my sister who is a lab technician in a hospital) is because I drink a lot of water before I go to bed and when I wake up in the middle of the night. And when I say a lot I mean A LOT! about 3 small bottles or more. I naturally drink a lot of water; it's a habit of mine. Even when I went to get a facial the specialist told me that my skin is already clean and didn't need much work, also due to drinking a lot of water. It is also good for dry hands. A friend of mine has very dry hands, and skin for that matter, when i told her to drink water she noticed a change in two days, honest. Anyway...just thought you should know..
Love you!

Hey Tyra.. honestly.. I have never written a celebrityn(never had teh dedsire, nor do I see the point), but after reading your bad breath story, I just had to. It is absolutelty HI-LA-RI-OUS!!! I don't get to watch your show as often as I did... but when I do, I definitely enjoy it. I am however a die hard ANTM fan. That along with Heroes & Coronation Street (really old British soap opera - everyone thinks I am mad.. but it is the best show EVER!), are the only shows that I watch religiously. I never miss an episode.
By the way... I have to say thank you for Saleisha's make-over cut... I thought it was fabulous... old school & funky.. very much me. Everyone loved it! I am always changing my hair.. & it seems to be everyone's favorite do so far. I must say though, that I was very disapointed when I reliazed that you cut her hair some more, it looked like a bowl cut.
Overall... I think you're great.. you seem to be very down to earth... & I wish you much success.
Take care

hi Tyra
Im writing from Kenya, Africa. We normally watch your shows but we are like a few shows behind than the current ones in your country. I love your shows.
You recently aired a show where some people were hiding in their homes coz they were embarassed about some things about themselves. I took great interest with the lady who sufferred from bad breadth and used bleach to gargle and she wouldnt let you sit next to her coz she was uncomfortable. It was sad that you didnt offer any suggestions to assist her. I suffer from that too. Kindly tell me what i can use to reduce the bad breadth.
Kind Regards,
Angie

Yeah morning breath isn't cool at all. Its really embarrassing. Like other people I've tried everything!!!!! Nothing works :( Can you please help?? Its sucks not wanting to talk to people because of this

Hey Tyra,
I understand how you feel about morning breath because I know it can be the worse, from yourself or another person, LOL.
Well, I'm no expert but when you are sleeping there is no saliva moving in, out, or around in your mouth. With the food that can be stuck or left in one's mouth it collects bacteria, without the salive flow to remove the food while sleeping it causes your breath to smell bad when you wake up.
Now, I would not have any solution to this problem but it seems as if these other comments from people have some good ideas.
