Hair “Accessories” (aka: Hair Extensions)
Tyra’s Hair Stylist Kiyah Says:
Ladies, want to know what the hottest fashion accessory out on the market today is? It’s hair extensions! That’s right, whether on the red carpet or at the grocery store, everybody is getting their hair accessorized with extensions. There are many reasons why hair extensions are becoming more popular these days. They add versatility, giving you a major change to your overall look in a short period of time. You can walk into a salon with a short, spiky style and walk out with long luxurious locks, or take your look from razor straight to curls full of bounce in no time! The glam look you’ll achieve with hair extensions is also accomplished with very little maintenance, and works for all ethnicities and hair types, causing women to run to the salons to get them.
But beware girls there are some drawbacks. Once you make the decision to have extensions put in, you better sit down, get comfortable and don’t make any plans! It can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 4 hours to have extensions put in, depending on your style. Also, the cost is on the higher end, so extensions usually aren’t a spur of the moment purchase. If you do decide to take a plunge in the extension pool, here are a few key pointers to keep in mind:
• Match the color of the hair extension to your own base hair color.
• Match the texture of your natural hair to that of the extensions.
• If you get your hair cut after having extensions added, ALWAYS blend your new hair with the old by using a razor cut technique.
If you decide to get extensions put in your hair, wear it with pride! There isn’t anything wrong with a hot hair weave...Tyra talks about hers all the time!

Hi, Tyra
I do my weave myself, becuase each time to go to the salon they don't do it the way i want it. i cornrow my hair alot..i have thin hair line so i stop some time an wear weave, but i find it to be very heavy/thick and always tangle. I wear the quicks weave before but could never get a right one. pease tell me how you get your hair so nice. what/which quick weaves will look good for cheap. and advice you have to help my hair grow with any further damage?
Also: i can't take vitamins to let my hair grow because i have excessive hair that grow on my chin/lips/face..i really don't need any more..i pluck them but it hurts well tips on how to get rid of them for cheap without causing black spots and ingrown hair bumps..
my last questions is i'm trying to lose some weight it's really hard..i been trying to control my portion. i really want to lose 20lbs by my b-day dec.,HELP HELP please.
i love your show..you are so really and speak your own mind..that what makes you so perfect.
can't wait to here from you

I want to know what is the best type and brand of hair to use for sewn in weaves, I have tried all types from Black Diamond to Bohyme and none of them will stay manageable enough to wear down a weeks time they constantly frizz and tangle.....What is the best most natural looking hair that can be worn down and washed over say a period of 6 wks or so.

I am a native New Yorker now leaving in Washington DC, they have no clue to stying hair or clothes like NY and LA. I want my hair done simliar to yours.
I have thin hair, need some fulness. Hairdressers here take 2hrs to do hair, when in NYC I am finished in 45mins and back to work.
Help me, do you have anyone here that can do nice hair around 140 or 150 cost. I have a small pee head. Thanks Lil Sister

Hi Tyra I would like to know where do you buy your hair extensions from? I know they are very costly around 700-800 dollars, where can I purchase some ?
Posted by: roshana | August 6, 2007 10:03 AM
Hey Tyra.
Today I got my hair dyed, and I was going for a blonde, and brown. Like if my hairs darker than blonde, I look terrible, Anyways, my mom paid for me to get my hair done and it cost 104. I clearly dont have the money to get it fixed, however If I did Id Go all out there, because Having good looking hair is the only important thing to me, or even if its blonde!, anyways i trusted this hair stylest more than anyone else. so Noone would touch my hair only her, Anyways today what happend she tried to do, star aka. peek a boos and the brown turned black. so its all like black. but than the top! the first time, it was like BLEACHED blonde. so she dryed it and put a gold tone or something on it now it looks brownish orangy, platitum, and you want to talk about crying all day.
its so bad and i really dont know how to fix it!:(
plus she knew i wanted it so i could get extentions, now.. i either have to come up with the money to get extentions or fix it, its all messed up.
PLEASE HELP ME!!
PLEASE.

Hi!
I also love your hair, but I bet you hear that often! Last year I went through chemotherapy and because of it I lost all of my long luscious hair. I now have about 12 inches of growth all over. I am a caucasian woman and a couple weeks ago saw you put a long blonde weave on someone. I just loved it. I need to know what to ask at salons and the procedure. I have checked on extensions, but due to medical bills have not been able to afford them. I really want to get a weave, but am so totally lost about the process and cost. I live about 3 hours from Dallas, Texas if you know of a place I could go. Please help me. I am about to start a new job and need my long hair for confidence. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

1st I want to say I love your show !! I try to watch it as often as I can but it's kind of hard some times because I have to go to work, lol. But now I have a serious question, well it's more like question's'. I want to know how I can get my hair to look like yours. I love it. I'm 18, about to go to college and trying to get my grown woman on so I want a new hair style to set it off. I got a weave for my senior prom, I had my girl from down the street do it so it looked nice but nothing like yours. So I want to know a few things. What kind of hair do you use, how do you get it put in, how do you sleep on it (do you wrap it up ??), how do you take care of it and how do you get it to look so natural ??
Please let me know,
Thanks !!

Hello Tyra,
My name is Juliet from United Arab Emirates, I always watch you show and I loved it!
I just did a hair extension yesterday, the stylist used a glue method on my hair, I am very happy with the result on my extensions. I heard a lot about bad things using a glue on the extensions, I am a bit worried that if I keep my extensions for 1 month that my hair will fall or break. I am asian but my hair is naturally curly and very dry with colors on it, does it mean that my hair will damage further if I keep my hair extension? Or the damage has been done due to the glue extensions? This is my first time that I did the hair extensions.

Hello Tyra,
I am one of your biggest fans, my husband get tired of me talking about you all the time. I think your hair stylist does an excellent job. I am currently wearing extensions and my friends and family always tells me that my hair look nice, my cousin called it the Tyra Banks hair style. I was shocked that they actually thought it was my hair, but my other two cousins started hating because they're hair wasn't looking nice and told everyone it wasn't mines. I do admit my hair stylist does a great job, but I can't compare her to your hair stylist.

Tyra,
I love your show and the efforts you extend to improve the confidence of women and the attitudes of others towards them. I've been fortunate this year, opening my own salon to extend the same lift to womens spirits and have offered free services to those who cannot afford them and are in desperate need. Given my great blessings this year, I would like to extend the same offer to your show guests. I would like you to help me find some of the most dior clients to offer hair extensions and makeovers to. Too often, minor flaws such as having short, damaged, or thin hair plagues womens self esteem.
I am a double certified hair extension artist in Houston and have provided services to Mrs. Texas USA, Miss Richmond Texas USA, local news anchors, models and common housewives in Texas.
I'm sure that your great opportunity to reach young women along with my offering can make a real difference!
I would love to hear from you!,

Is there any other way to put extensions in my hair without braiding it and not gluing tracks in my head. Reason being that when ever I take the braids out a lot of my hair come out also. Please let me know anything.

I used to have gorgeous long hair, but I have had alopecia for the last two years. I have a big bald spot in the middle but still have long hair. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to cover it?

Tyra,
You are beautiful - inside and out! I love your show! I am a caucasion in the West Monroe, Louisiana area. Highlights, a bad straightener, and several bad haircuts later have ruined my once fine thin naturally curly long hair. It is now chin length and in several chopped up thin layers, with great lengths extensions on the sides to hide the fact that the idiot cut it too short on the sides. I am depressed about my hair and cry all the time. It is now SOOOO thin and short and won't hold a style because it is soft like buttery cotton candy if that makes sense to you. What would be the best type of extensions for me to get for baby fine hair like this to allow it to grow back underneath? Are the Swedish or Malasyian techniques good for that and do you know where in Louisiana, Mississippi, or Texas, I could get that done? My budget is up to $2000. Thanks,
Janicen

Hey, Tyra
First off, let me say that I love your show and I really like what you are doing to help women of all types. Of all the shows you have done, there is still one question that I still have and that is how do I get my hair to look like yours. I mean I already know that you can get extentions from some hair salons out here, but come on. The hair style ain't gonna look at good as yours. What I want to know is what type of hair products do you use personally and what type of hair extentions do you use? Please just give me the answers to my questions so I can stop stressing over it. I would really appreciate your help, thanks gurl!!!!

How do you take out quick weave? I wore it , it was fly, nw it itches like crazy. My friend who is a"PRO" put them in but she said she'll help me take them out. However I don't have the time right now and next time I see her may be a minute becuase its summer time and families are ready to go away. I really don't mnd doing it myself for I have the necessary tools to do so if someone can tell me about your experiences. Muchas gracious.LOVE,

I watched your show today "Tailored by Tyra" and was wowed by the makeovers especially the teacher whose hair was shorter than mine and your weave specialist gave her a dynamic new look, I was blown away, she looked fabulous. I would love to find her so she could do my hair. I was diagnosed with cancer over a year ago and my hair is short also and seeing the makeovers today made me feel as though I can find that sexy part of me again. Does she take clients? Please Tyra tell me how to meet her.

Hi Tyra,
I was on your website and notice everybody was talking about their hair. Let’s just say that I haven’t been able to grow my hair since I cut it when I was a little kid (6 or 7 years old). I have always been missing section of my hair. No matter what I try to do it never grows. I have been to medical doctors and they said there is no reason why it is not growing. I even saved up my income tax money and said if I paid the high end price for a good hair weave maybe my hair will grow. Guess what it didn’t it only made matter worse. I always admire how well you carry yourself and how you look everyday. Any lady would kill to be in your shoes to have a pretty head of hair like yours any day. I don’t care if is months from now, years from now.
If you were ever to do a make over show and you need a willing and able victim to have a great hair weave done, I can be at your show at any given notice. It would mean the world to me to be able to walk around; having confidence in a nice head of hair and not worry if the tracks are showing, if a gap between my home sewed weaves, or cheap hair will bush up as soon as I leave out the door. The best one yet, how about when you wash your weave and the hair tangle up so badly that you have to cut the weave out. lol.
I have a twin sister that always put me to shame everyday. She makes me feel and looks like an ugly Betty. She has done this all our lives. She never tries to help me or share her hair secret with me. For once I would like to look and feel like the beautiful swan. Please help out an ugly Betty if you can.

Hope all is well with you. I am having a bit of problem with my hair as a result of my being 6 months pregnant. Ofcourse, my hormones are out of wack and as a result, costing me my hair. I do wear weave from time to time and would like to inquire about the brand that you use.
Thanks.

One of ur next shows should feature the damage caused by hair extentions.
It should teach women how to take care of their extentions and their natural hair.
At the same time, promoting natural hair, length, and different styles for these self-conscience women running around wanting 'a quick fix'.

Hey Tyra...first and foremost I wanna say I love you girl and I watch your show practically every day! But my reason for writing this comment is because I loved when "Destiny's Child" got together for their last album and the weave Kelly wore was FIERCE! You know..when it was all curly and cute! Would you do me the biggest favor in the world and find out the name and brand of the hair so that I could sucessfully copy Ms. Kelly's style!!

Dear Tyra,
I am 25y/o and I never learned how to do my hair. I haven't had a relaxer in 6 years. for the first 2 of these years I wore a scarf and for the last 4 I've worn a wigs. I am not ready to relax my hair again, but I was thinking about getting a sewn in weave. Can you let me know what brand of hair you use?
Posted by: Jasmine | April 23, 2007 5:03 PM
I want to hair extensions sewn in and I can't afford a lot of money. Can someone tell me of an affordable place in Chicago that does a good job?
Posted by: Jackie | April 21, 2007 10:04 AM
i'm male and have been wearing a weave for two months.it's not braided, just ties to my remaining hair and then stitched.the length of the hair is shoulder length all the way around except the bangs.i've had to go in twice a month to get the darned weave re-done because enough hair falls out at rate that in one week the weave actually looks shorter than when first done..or redone.i just two dsays ago had it redone and at a bit below soulder length.i noticed that today the length is right AT shoulder length.i also noticed i'm having a problem covering my ears completely with the hair, whereas,on the first day it was done,it completely covered my ears with no problem.this makes me wonder just how much hair is falling out of this thing and how often.is fallout normal in a weave and if so,how much is to be expected and how often?
i can't afford to have this thing re-adjusted twice a month.i'm afraid that this could get very expensive.once a month is okay..over that? i might wind up having to just accept that going around bald headed is something i'm forced to do due to monetary reasons

Hey Tyra,
I stopped perming my hair for about 1yr, then I started again. It's been about 5-6 months now since I have permed my hair, the problem is that my hair gets very dry and it starts to break. I have been wearing sown in weaves, but my favorite is the wigs. Let me let you know that I am a women of color and I have VERY thick hair and I do not know what to do to stop it from breaking, I want it to grow long and healthy. Do you have any suggestions? I love your show and the fact that you are an inspiration to all women, keep up the good work and best wishes to you in the future.

Hi Tyra,
I am sure you know..everyone loves your show..everyone loves Tyra. You are a role model for so many people. I've always admired you for the pride you show. I wear extensions, but as many others, struggle to find good quality. Is there any one brand that you just LOVE? I've tried many, from cheap to expensive and even found that not even the expensive cost hair is good. I just had a new set put in and I am disappointed at the fact that I paid so much for this hair and it knots and tangles so easy! I realize you can not respond to everyone but please help Tyra!

Dear Tyra
Please please please I need your help!!!
I need a hair weave makeover. I have been wearing a hair weave for over 10 years and weaving my hair at home.
For 2007 I decided I need to take better care of myself and the first thing I needed to invest in was a good weave job. Long story short, I need to obtain a professional help. Can you please tell me where to go in the Los Angeles area and what type of hair to purchase.

Hay,
Tyra your hair is flawless
I wear hair extension my self but at times I have a hard time finding a good quality. So if you dont mind me asking what type and the brand is it that you wear.
Posted by: Mia | January 18, 2007 9:57 PM
Hey Tyra, I guess from reading these e-mails i must get in line with my question. I wear a hair weave and i just think yours is flawless it is so perfect. I know it costs a fortune but i live in birmingham alabama where we have very little choices on hair. But after hearing say you can wash and re-use i would be willing to invest in what ever you are doing for your weave or wig pieces. I am 44 and still trying to keep my DIVA alive and i also try to look flawless and look at others and try to capture their style. If you don't mind tell me what brand weave? what kind of wig? and where can i possibly send off for it. I wear weaves and wigs, but your texture is something i have never seen and i've wasted a lot of money. If i could just find the products you are using I could stop spending my money of awful products. Can you help me?

I live in Stockton, Ca which is an hour away from Oakland Ca but not to many people know how to apply the unit. Can you please tell me who put your lace front on that will be so greatly appreciated. I've tried getting it thinned when I go to a salon but it still doesnt help. There isn't a salon near my home town that does extentions. What could I do? To those ladies who are worried about extensions ruining your hair, the Loc method is awesome! I just took a training through goddess extensions and these seem the way to go and easy to take out. There is no glue used and with touch ups every 6 weeks or so, they are wonderful!
A little bit about them:
. Locs- This method is great for people who want no adhesive in their hair, or have oily root which cause fusion methods to slip. The rings go in quickly and are simply tightened when needed.

Hey Tyra,
I made my own extensions by buying those clips that snap the hair in place. I went to a dollar store and found a pack of Outre` the layered already styled hair for $3.99. I went home and used a foam wig head to help be my guide to cut the tracks and then sewed the clips where needed. My total cost was just under thirty dollars! I placed them in and no one was able to tell if I had a weave or not. I usually wear wigs but they get too hot and this way my hair can breath. This is my way to get entensions you want without spending too much money.

I absolutely love your fashion style and most of all your HAIR! If you dont mind me asking, I would like to know what type of weaving method is used for your extensions? And also what brand of hair. I have been wearing extensions for awhile now and I cant seem to find a brand that I like. I recently had them put in using the interlock method and the Rebecca hair. My beautician told me this is the method all the stars use, but I am very displeased at the work. Do you or your stylist have any advice? Can I order the brand of hair you use? Please help me. Hope to hear from someone soon.

Hello
Tyra..I just wanted to let you know that I love your show. I noticed that alot of women want the Tyra Banks hair...I want to let the ladies know that a company called Outre makes the best Quick Weave around...it is very easy to use and will not break off your natural hair. Also the product is less than $60.00. I have been using the product for 2 years. I braid my natural hair back into 4 to six corn rows. I curl and then comb my bangs over the quick weave for a natural effect.

I am 14 years old and I absolutely HATE my hair! I’m half black and half white and have this frizzy curl going on. I want extension SOOO bad! I’m considering tracks but, I am still confused about the whole "putting in" thing. Do they leave some of your hair showing on the top? Because I seriously don’t want ANY of my real hair to show at all. I want straight hair and none of this “frizz” thang going on at all. I don’t want my real hair showing on the top and I really don’t want curly extensions! I am not planning on wearing my extensions for over 2 month’s tops as well. Please if you have any advice PLEASE let me know. Thanks for your time and I love ya Tyra!

can you but extentions in if your bald in one spot?
Posted by: questionable | November 15, 2006 5:09 PM
First of all there is alot i would love to ask u about beauty and fashion but i just got my computer so ill start here. i have a problem with cutting my hair when it starts to go, because of the inbetween thing u have to go to. i have have short hair for most of my life but i really love longer hair so form time to time i get a weave. i can't aford to get it done like your so i get it glued in but when i take it out i allways lose some hair. i don't think the glue is good last time i had some and took them out i ended up with 3 bald spots that i thought was never going to grow out but thank the Lord they grew back. if u really read this and can tell me what i can do to get a better weave done i would really love it. By the way i think u are a great person with a big heart so keep doing what u are doing. May God countinue to bless u.

I too love the way Tyra's hair always look so natural and bouncy. I have started to wear weave and would like to know a very nice inexpensive hair I could use. I am using a Aurora now but it seems to kink and tangle up. It is great for the roller set(wet or dry) but after a while it starts to kink and tangle up. I have even tried the half wigs but they made my sides and nape of my hair very thin and it starts to break. But I am loving the weave and would like some help in getting the best brand....I normally wear a 4/30 in the color. Any advise

Hi tyra love the show keep up the good work! but not all hair extentions are bad if you get them sowen in then they last longer and they don't leave that awful glue in your hair.

Hey Tyra,
Your hair is always rocking. I use to wear extensions and it took all my hair out. Then I found out about full lace wigs. My hair has since grown back but I still wear lace wigs all the time. I found this woman who makes them and she does not charge an arm and a leg for them and they are human remy hair. I have bought 5 of them from her so I can change the style and color from time to time. I have not been disappointed at all. Go to www.starrshollywoodhair.com and tell her Gail sent you.
You will love her prices and her full lace wigs!

I THINK ENTENSIONS ARE A GREAT WAY TO CHANGE YOUR HAIR WITHOUT CUTTING AND COLORING YOUR OWN HAIR...GLUE INS ARE OK...YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE THE RIGHT PRODUCTS TO GET THE GLUE OUT EFFICIENTLY...WIGS ARE GREAT..JUST TAKE IT OFF AT NIGHT...I DO THEM ALL I'M NOT ASHAMED!!!!!LOVE YOU TYRA

Hi Tyra, I'm a student, I have 2 kids and when I get a chance, I watch your show. And I love it. My hair is pretty short and I really don't like doing my hair. Just a couple of weeks ago I just discovered Full lace wigs. I live in montana where there's not too many black people, and there is one beauty shop here and it's Sally's, and that's not cutting it for me. Finally my question, I would like to know where do you get your weave from and where can I buy a Full lace wig, if you have a website for me I can easily order the weave on the internet. Lastly what are the pros and cons to having a full lace wigs.

Hi Tyra, I have read some of the posted messages from other vieweers regarding hair weaves and I have been wearing hair weave for about 10 years and I love it!! It is addictivce and very healthy. GLUE IS NOT THE ANSWER! You must go with a braid techniquque to ensure healthy hair as well as other care products so that you are taking care ofyour hair. Tyra by the way what type of hair weave do you wear? Is it an adhesive wig and wear can I get one?

do not put in glue in hair extensions for too long, ive been doing them for almost 2 years now and my hair underneathe hasnt grown AT ALL.. my hair on top has though thats bc the glue doesn't touch that part. it's terrible.. my hair gets thinner and thinner each time i put them in and take them out. youre better off just letting your hair grow.. bc yeah its fun to have long hair temporarily but in the long run youll have THIN hair and even have BALD spots.. TRUST ME i know from experience

Hi Tyra,
I'm 40 and lovin it, but I don't look it..i have a very nice forehead to pull my hair back. I'm always wearing an elegant simple ponytail or bun like a school marm. Ilove my weaves..but here's the real problem my hairline is receeding in which it's leaving a peak in the front of my head..I'm always admiring your hair extensions and wondering what brand of hair do you use, what is the cost and can you recommend a place in Chicago that I can have a good hair weave performed. I want to make sure that I look sexy for my trip to Dominican Republic next year.....HELP

Hi everyone. I started wearing extentions bonded to my natural hair when I was 14. It looked good, but boy did it ruin my real hair. It broke off so bad and never grew. 6 years later I am now in the process of growing out my natural hair by wearing braids. I would recommend a sew in for anyone interested in tracks and definately DO NOT ever continuously put glue in your hair, because you will not have any in the end.

Does Kiyah offer any technique hair weaving classes, If so I would love to take some. Or Maybe, this is could be an upcoming show idea for Tyra. I want to be on that show. I just recently graduated from cometology school in July 2006 and will be going to the board on October 30, 2006. I'm so scared! But really excited (If that makes sense). Does Kiyah have or know a good way for me to promote my skills. I'm open to all suggestion.
Thanks Tyra
I Love your Show!

I have been wearing a weave since I was 11 years old and I am now 28. The least expensive, easiest way to wear a weave is to bond it in. This involves adding hair bonding glue to a track of hair, then glueing it to your scalp. The best hair on the market at a reasonable price is "Sensual" brand or "Joie Joie" or "Urban Beauty" or "Outre." All of these brands of hair are beautiful, non-tangling human hair. I suggest using two bundles of hair and adding at least seven full tracks of hair to your own to have a full, glamorous look. And let me tell you...men LOVE long hair, ladies!!! Also, be sure to wash and care for the weave hair as you would your own. Good luck!!!

Hi Tyra I was reading all your emails and comments, and I know you have hours of emails to read, and I just don't know how you do it, But I saw you with your mother on on of the shows, one day, and just wanted to say, "you are so lucky to have such a lovin and caring mother". (some of us don't have that, but still keep our heads up and do what is needed)So you kiss her everyday that you can, and tell her you love her, cause she is truly your rock and backbone. You're doing great and keep up the good and positive work, Thanks LaTishia Hailey

I have been doing hair for years and wanted to try to help the person with temporal alocepia. Weave comes in various textures and is not just for straight hair. If your hair is curly, you should be able to find a weave that has the same curl as your natural hair. Since your hair loss is on the sides and nape of your neck, you can wear your weave on a cap instead of on your hair. A stocking cap is placed over your hair after it has been braided down or put into a ponytail. The cap can then be sprayed with holding spritz then blowdried to keep it in place. Once dry and in place, the tracks should be measured, cut and either glued or sewn to the cap. I hope I have helped give you some hope.

I would like to know how long can you keep hair extenstion in your hair, and how do you take care of your hair extenstion, and also, does the hair extenstion grows your hair.

Hey ladies...Ok I am NOT a professional stylist...but I can inform you about weaves. Tracks or quickweaves are the easiest and least expensive. This process is just gluing the track of hair to your scalp. Another form, which is most popluar right now is fusion. This involves taking tiny pinches of hair and bonding the new weave to those tiny pinches. There are virtually no tracks or tell tale signs of a weave. This process is done in a salon, and can run anywhere from 400 to 1,500. This is very pricey, but worth is. Almost all celebrities wear these. Many Celebrites are wearing the new HOT wigs. They are virtually undetectable to the untrained eye. They get placed a little behind the hairline, and then makeup is applied to blend the wig into the face. I know that is what Tyra be wearing...I know everyone is looking at her hair all up in the hairline..but YES that is a wig, but a DAMN nice one. Hope this helps ladies!

Hello Tyra,
For weeks now I've been talking about how I wanted to contact you to see what kind of weave you have because your hair is always beautiful. I din't know how to go about it when I decided to visit your website and discovered this page on hair extensions. I started wearing a weave a few years ago for fullness and to be creative only. Now that the majority of my hair has fallen out I have to wear it just to look half way decent which has become a huge stress in my life. I was always under the impression that a weave could only be bonded with glue or braided and sown in. I opted for the bonding because my hair is so fine that I've never been able to have braids with out my hair falling out. Now I'm aware that there's new and improved ways of having a weave put in with minimal damage done to your own hair. The only problem is that I haven't a clue as to the names or types of these new weaves. I just know that it's possible. At this point I guess it really doesn't matter because I haven't much hair left to work with anyways but I would like to try something different. Something that I'll be able to wear in more than one style or even get wet with out worrying if my tracks are going to slide out. Please Tyra, your hair always look amazing and if you weren't so open about your weave, honestly I would of never known it was one. I also liked how you had Michelle's hair from this season of ANTM hooked up. Her hair didn't look like a weave at all and she was even able to wear it up in a ponytail. Please your advice and tips would mean the world to me. Thanks & Love Always!!

I have worn hair extentions for years. My weave always looks good but the constant shedding makes my boyfriend sick. Do you have any suggestions to fix this problem (non shedding brands or different bonding methods)? Tyras hair ALWAYS looks good!

I have a condition called "temporal alocepia". It derives from years of grandmother putting my hair bows on too tight. I am bald on the sides and thinning in the nape of the neck area. Because my hair is naturally curly and I wear it cut short, I have to always have my barber leave enough hair for me to cover the bald spots. This has been an embarrassment all of my life. I'm even using eyeliner to fill in the bald spots! I can't take it anymore. Farrell (the popular hair replacement icon) has sent me various emails but I can't afford it. The weave that you're referring to is probably for straight hair styles and that wouldn't work for me. I like any advice that you may be able to provide. Thanks
