Alessandra Ambrosio

Alessandra takes Yves St. Laurent Total Fitness Slimming Gel with her everywhere she travels to prevent cellulite. Learn more about this product at www.ysl.com
Beverly Johnson
1. Beverly uses hair from her personal hair extension line, Hair Sisters (blonde is the highest selling color.) She uses them because she doesn’t want to wait for her hair to grow while life is going on! For more information, visit www.hairsisters.com

2. When Beverly needs to loose a few pounds quickly, she uses Nikki Haskell's Star Caps, ephedra free natural dietary supplements, containing a blend of papaya and garlic. Discover the secret at www.starcaps.com
Rachel Hunter

Rachel swears by the Ellen Lange Face Peel to make skin look 10 years younger! She puts it on her face eight minutes before taking a bath to remove any roughness from her skin. Find out more about this product at www.ellenlange.com
Heidi Klum
1. Heidi’s first tip is something she says that she learned from Tyra: the importance of eyelashes! Use a curler to give your lashes the appearance of extra length and body. You can find Heidi’s favorite eyelash curlers at www.shuuemura-usa.com

2. Every girl needs a little glitter and sparkle. Find a great dust-on body shimmer and put it everywhere!
Tyra Banks
1. To make your eyes look larger and more innocent put white or cream eyeliner inside of your lower lid.
2. If you accidentally get mascara on your face, avoid creating a messy boo-boo by letting the glob of mascara dry. Let it be while you finish getting ready and, as you walk out the door, wipe it off with a tissue. It will come off without leaving a mark or smearing.
3. If you suffer from hyper-pigmentation, dark spots or dry areas on your skin, slather on extra sunscreen when you’re having a little fun in the sun. Put a lot of SPF on your darker areas and do NOT rub it in. You’ll look crazy with the big patches of white sunscreen showing, but when you leave the beach you’ll look fierce!

Hey Tyra! i was watching your show and you said you get terrible dry skin well so do i! But i only get it in the winter. So does my dad. So when we were little babys my dad would take a globe of vaseline and rubb it all over our hands in then put a sock over it. But you do it right before you go to bed and tehn in the morning there so soft! and i do it every night in the winter! i still do it today! :) i love it. My family calls it "tigger-ize" and my dad sings the song Tigger does in Winne The Pooh. I love this trick and i hope it works for you! good Luck. I love you girl!
Love always,

Have you tried using a sea salt scrub to soften your hands? It really works for me. Do you have any tips for getting rid os stretch marks? I've always been fit and I only weigh 110 pounds but somehow I ended up with stretch marks on my hips and I would love to make them less noticeable.

I am embarresed to wear a tank top or even a bathing suit. I have a hard time feeling sexy around my so to be husband. I've been thinking about permant hair removal but it is expensive and I have never heard how good it actually works, if you have any adivce for me please let me know. Hey Tyra,
How do I get rid of cellulite on my thighs and butt? I am small on top and big on the bottom, so whenever I go to buy jeans I have to get them from the womens section and I'm only 14. It's embarrasing to wear shorts because my butt always hangs out and my thighs jiggle. Help me to get rid of the fat on my thighs!
I also have a lot of body hair. People always call me a monkey and make fun of me because of it. I don't know how to get rid of it. I've tried waxing and creams and yet it always just grows back in a matter of days. I never wear bathing suits or anything that reveals my back or stomach for fear that I will be made fun of. I am really self- conscious about it. What do I do?

Hi Tyra Banks, My name is Kimberly aka "foxykimmy"
I have a tip for ladies out there who have razor bumps. The way that ladies can stop razor bumps is by 1.shaving dry. Taking the shaver and lightly shave under the arm or bikini line. by shaving dry helps to prevent in grown hairs. My mother works at a hospital and one of the nurses told her that Neospirin also works as well when you mix it with shaving cream. You put the Neospirin on the skin first and next shaving cream. The Neospirin is a thick cream but you have to make sure you use enough to cover the area you desire to shave. I have used it for myself and it work wonders. If the razor get too creamy then wipe it off with a tissue or a dry rag.

Both of your shows are terrific but... as a short female it seems impossible to even dream of modeling. With plus sized models i dont see why shorter girls are kicked out of the running. It seems wrong.

How can i make my face Un-oily. I am not a beauty perfectionist. But I do need the cheapest because i am only 15 years of age, & my family is kind of poor. I also, can't seem to find the best eye shadow. All of them don't match me or something.

Hi Tyra, I just want to say that I adore you and your show. I have always been immensly into fashion and appearance. I saw the show that plugged Star Caps and have to say that I have become pretty addicted to them. I don't necessarily thing it's a good thing, but wanted to share it.

Miss Tyra, i have always wanted to model, but i have been caught up in so many scams since i had my first audition at 16. I am 20 years old, 5'7, 130lbs and i have copied Heidi Klums exercise routine off the internet and have been following it. I really would love to somehow make it with Elite or Ford Modeling managements but i just don't know if they will accept me due to having 10 piercings. 4 in my right ear, 3 in my left ear, my nose, my tongue, and my navel. do you think i will make it with one? Do i have to give up my piercings--i will if nessessary. But i don't want to be used as a fake and give up my indidviduality--i want to show all teh teens out there that they don't have to be anarexic, have plastic surgery or any of that to make it. And i see that many models don't have piercings and i really love my tongue, nose and navel. Can you help me? Thank you so very much.

Hey Tyra, I'm still realy young but I've been inetrested in modeling for quite a while. I had applied to about four or five modeling agencies & all of them called me back for an interview. I've spent hours putting together modeling portfolios only for me to decide I wanted to change my appearance. The only reason I hadn't before was because of modeling & I was afraid I wouldn't be able do it. I now have short blond & black hair(not natural)& Brown eyes... now here comes the problem I have both a nose peircing & a lip piercing. I' have a friend who is a terrific model & has her lip peirced & she said they can cover the hole with make up, but I'm not sure many agencies would agree with it. I'm intrested more in alternative modeling, but it's very hard to get into. Thats why I wrote all this, to ask you if you could just give me some refrences or pointers. Theres another problem, I live in canada, so the odds of me getting any where are alot lower. If you could help me out that would be great! Thanx Tyra.

Hey tyra! im a huge fan of the show, i think you've done a amazing job helping people out. Even thought i watch the show almost everyday i never quite figured out this question...how can i prevent my face from being oily?. i wash it everynight and everymorning but after 1 1/2 im stuck with a bunch of oil on my face...it gets my really self concious and i would really like you're help since you hace such beautiful skin.
Best of luck in 2007

Just yesterday my boyfriend and I took his niece and nephew to the park and the first thing she asked me was, what happen to your face. I was so heart broken and wanted to cry. I have been asked numerous of times about my face, and I'm tired of dealing with it. Can you help me!!!

Hi Tyra,
I will be 26yrs old in a week and I have always dreamed of being a model. I am 5'6" 130lbs, blonde hair, blue eye. I have an atheltic body, and many tattoos. I have not seen models today with tattoos. Is that looked down upon in the modeling world? How do I go about searching for an agency? I am not interested in runway modeling because I don't have that type of figure. I would love to pose for Maxim, FHM. I really think I have what it takes. I would love to make this dream come true before I get too old!! Love your show!!-Brandi

All these supermodels have these great beauty secrets and as i was watching your show i realised that you may have some advice for me. I am a 16 year old girl and i suffer from extreme brown spots. My whole body has different colours and tones and it looks horrible. I wake up everyday ashamed of what i look like. I cant go swimming or do anything that entitles me to show my bare skin. I wear a lot of clothes in the summer even when its really hot and it frustrates me because its uncomfortable and i shouldnt have to do that at aged 16 its controlling my life. Iwant to know is there a beauty secret to getting rid of this or to get my skin back to the way it was i am due to go on holiday really soon. Thank You.

Hey Tyra! Love your show by the way. After skimming through a few comments on here I thought maybe you'd have some tips for doing eye makeup in various ways w/ eyeshadow and eyeliner. etc. Also I can't seem to make my black eyeshadow(used under and above the eyelashes for depth-for dark bold eyes) to not smudge at the top of my eyelid. Can you help?! I've tried using powder or other color eyeshadow to prevent the smudging on the lid but it still hasn't worked. Please help! Thanks a bunch :)Hope to meet you in person one day.

Hi Tyra!
First, if you dont mind, let me start off by saying that I love your show so much! I admire that you help women everywhere with what you do. But I need some help. I feel so ugly all the time. Every-now-and-then I put on makeup and I still don't feel any better. I'm sure you encounter women with low self-esteem, like me, all the time. I'm just wondering if you have any tips or advise for me to feel prettier for my husband and baby girl.
Thank you and love you lots!

Good morning Tyra Banks,
I just have an idea for one of your shows. I think that having a show about "Your Hair" I think that would be awesome. Since hair is basically what makes or breaks us. I am a napptural (natural no chemical straightening) and I have been this way for about 3 years. I was wearing weaves due to fear of releasing the napps, but then I decided to "let go and let flow". There are many of us out there and some who may want to take this journey but are afraid of what people may say. Trust me people say A LOT if not verbally they say it with their stares. (Believe it or not it's from other Black women). I live in Biloxi, Ms and there are a few of us here. That's it, I just think if it was expounded on targeting women with alopecia and women who may have lost their hair from chemo treatments, etc. This show would be the bomb I think.
Thanks for reading,
Shelea

My daughter is two years old and loves anything dealing with fashion, hair and modeling after seeing the show she now wants to paint her eyes. And not a Wednesday goes by that we are not all watching ANTM and American's Next Top 2 year old Model. She loves you and everything you do. Thanks for helping give a two year old high self esteem.

You are gorgeous and I would give anything to be gorgeous like you. I have hated the way I've looked for years now. I have just always wanted to be beautiful. With beauty comes confidence and I see how happy you are because you are gorgeous. I have had a bad self image for a long time. My mother started telling me I wasn't attractive at a very early age. With low self esteem comes insecurity, shyness and thinking everyone is negatively talking about my looks. I am. My extreme low self esteem hinders me from progressing in life. A guy I was hoping to date for awhile says he couldn't be seen with me in public. He said my face was not attractive and I am a mess. I have always wanted to be on the cover of a local magazine as a succcessful, gorgeous, classy, intelligent young woman but I think my looks keep me from that. I am tired of wishing. I am tired of living like this.

Dear Tyra,
Hi! My name is Sabina, I am a viewer of your show living in Auckland, New Zealand. You really inspired me the other week when you revealed that you have dark circles under your eyes. I too have really dark circles under my eyes. I find it really tough. They are so dark and large, and make me look really tired, and sometimes even sick! I hate even my boyfriend having to see me without makeup, because I am so embarrased about what I really look like. You gave me a bit more courage when you said that you also suffered from the same problem. I have to wear alot of concealer to cover them up. But it makes my skin really dry. What concealer do you recommend? Do you have any tips for the beach? Keep up the good work Tyra! You are an inspiration! Much love, Sabina.

Dear Tyra,
I am so amazed by the way you have made the young and the old women feel good about themselves. I admire you so much. I speak for the women of Africa. I come from a small village in Africa where girls are circumcised and denied sexual pleasure. I have come from far and I have been an activist against this evil practice. Of course my only tool has been the media and the talent that God has given me as a recording gospel artist. I have managed to some point to convince these girls that they can make it, they are beautiful and they do not need to be circumscised to be successful because I am one of them, yet I have made it in life. I just wanted you to know you inspire me when you go to the prison, streets and pause to be a beggar. This makes me want to go on with my campaign. Women are beautiful, women are to be loved and treated as the weaker vessels like the Bible says. Much love and Prayers! Nkatha

My name is Tessa and I'm 16 yrs old. I love your show, and I think you're the most awesome woman I've ever met (besides my mom)lol! I can't tell you how much your advice helps me everytime I watch the show, I always learn somehting new. I love the way you're so blunt, yet considerate of people. Some just need to hear the truth. The show today was one of my favorites. I have a friend like the girl that cried when she took her makeup off, and had to go all day through the city without any makeup. Its not to that extreme, but she really doesn't know what a wonderful perosn she is and how great she is on the inside. You're such an inspiration to me and I look up to for a lot of things. I get so much confidence from your show without even being there. If your show is going to be somewhere in South Carolina I would love to attend! I

Hey Ms TYRA!
I cannot begin to explain how much you have influenced my life. I've always wanted to be a model but never really had the self confidence. i used to fake the fierceness, but my act would usually fall flat at the smallest negative comment.
Well now that's all changed and with you as my inspiration, I've learned to embrace all of me. And believe me I AM FIERCE.
I've studied ANTM meticously and implemented each weeks advice and I've now started modelling.
my friends have even startd me calling me MR Tyra, and make jokes about you and i must be related or something because we have the same smile. But hey, i aint complaining coz thats a HUGE complement.
Thank you for changing my life for the better.

dear tyra,
to tell you very sincerely, sometimes i feel that you and your show are the only friend tht i got when it comes to my physical appearance. you are so positive about every girl, woman, every person no matter how terrible they all look like. and i am glad that you are there so concerned about all the women struggling to feel appreciated. Just watching your show everyday makes me think that people like me, ugly, hideous, really really terrible.. has say and has the right to say what they want and how they feel. here in my country, my place, my environment..i feel so down all the time.. everyday I get insults that i am ugly i look bad, and if i do my make-up they say that being simple is better and i look like a stripper with my make-up and it does not benefit me at all, etc. my relatives, my friends, and other people.. see, everything i do is a mess..as i continue to please them, the more i feel that i am the ugliest person in the world... my only escape is to watch your show...you keep on bombarding your viewers with good thoughts and beautiful things. that is why i feel beautiful whenever and only during my watching your show. i love you so much because even though you don't know me, you are able to lift my sense as a person and i fell like you are the only person who knows how a woman feels when being degraded by a batallion of cruel people. thanks o much... from the philippines... faro

Hey Tyra I wanted to tell you about a skin care line called Arbonne! They are great! They are #3 in skin care in the U.S.! They have a scrub and a lotion that will help get rid of cellulite. I have used it, My mother, aunt and other friends have used it and i swear to you, that you see the cellulite start to disappear in as little a 3 days. It costs 85 dollars for the set, but it is so very much worth it!! There RE9 anti aging line works wonders also. Tyra this stuff really, really works!! You have to try it! I promise you will be amazed!!

i some times think that you only pick people that are going to be beautiful as a make over you are picking people that are ugggggggggggg. I don't consider myself as that but i'd like to see you try with more nature beauties not the beautiful undone.

Dear Tyra,
I truly enjoy your show. You are like a breath of fresh air. I often fore-go the 5:00pm news just to wash your show. It is awe-inspiring. I have grandson who is 14 years and he is interested in becoming a model; can you please tell me how I can go about helping him. I am happy to know that he has his eyes set on a goal as oppose to not knowing what he wants to do in life. I would much appreciate some guidance form you. When are you going to bring your show to New York. I anticipate hearing from you.
May god continue to bless, guide, and keep you safe.
P.S. You can give some giudance on Top Model and that will be of help because
I watch the show every week and fusses with the young ladies when they don't perform well. I also deliberate their performance with the judges.

Dear Trya,
I am a 43 year old loving and devoted mom of one daughter from western Wisconsin. I wanted to tell you I really enjoy your shows. I think the thoughtfulness, & caring you give to your guest about the serious topics that they face are important to discuss. I have laughed with you, cried with you and have felt pride for you. Your mother must be a wonderful person too. I would like to applaud you for your forethought about so many emotional area of life, it is a wonderful trait. I think all things should be looked at from different perspectives and always with care for how it will affect others around them. I would like to ask you if you will ever do a show on the importance of the presence of a father in a Childs life after the parents are no longer together. I have a wonderful 13 year old daughter. She does well in school, Is kind to others, She is happy most always...But there is one area of her life that can bring her to tears, anger, and deep sadness... that would be the lack of her dad's attention and presence in her life. I could tell you many stories she has shared with me about how she has felt badly that her dad does not make her a priority in his life. This year he has only seen her 4.5 hours in January. He canceled summer visitation because he was remodeling his home, and he recently asked to see her at Christmas time. He did call and ask to see her one other time this year, but (it was a smoking home) and because she has asthma; she didn’t want to go there. She offered him a couple of other choices to see her, but was told it was that one or he would have to see her another time. She did not see him. I have explained to her that he loves her and she is a wonderful daughter. The reason he doesn't see her is because of the distance in which he lives from us. Having said that, I don’t think she is buying it anymore. Her dad of course blames his not seeing her on ME! But that is not the truth; he hardly even calls her on the telephone, and never sends her any mail. Etc…I am a single mother with some physical issues and therefore I can't work full time; and because of this I have very limited resources; a car that is continually falling apart, not to mention I certainly could not afford the gas to transport her back and forth even if I had a good car. The situation is that her dad chose to move this far distance when she was in early grade school. I literally have wept with my daughter when she cries about his lack of connection to her. She will be grown in 5 years and her dad has missed her life. I think back to when she was in grade school and she stood at our door and begged him not to move so far away, because she was afraid they would not see each other. It’s amazing how smart kids are…. They see things so clearly even than she knew. I guess I feel this topic is one that affects many families...the children pay the most of all. I am certain she is not alone in this feeling of being abandoned. I honestly worry about how this will affect her relationships in the future. Let me know if you'll have an in-depth show about this worthwhile topic on an upcoming show; I would love to hear some solid advice that will help my child with this difficult situation she faces in her life.
Regards,
Mary

when i first saw your talk show i thought it was just another fly by night talk show. my daughter had been watching top model and because she is 11 i always take a few minutes to watch it and make sure its child appropriate now I'm hooked and whenever i'm not working i try to catch your talk show i'm amazed at what a sweet hearted ,warm person you seem to be , i am so happy that there is a truly honest role model for for impressionable young (and old like me )children in this world that is so obsessed with materialism .i hope you never change !

Hi Tyra, I just want to say that I love you like a big sister. I may have a solution for your rough hands. I don't know if you've already tried this, but Mary Kay has a great product called Satin Hands. The kit includes exfoiliating cream, a buffer cream, and cleanser and a hand lotion. You may need to do it often but you will se results. You vigorously spread the first three products in your hand not missing any spots. Rinse and follow up with the lotion. If you don't have a MK consultant, I will be happy to send you a kit. Love you lots! Sheree'

Hi Tyra,
I just wanted to compliment you on what an excellent job you are doing. I think you are a very positive role model for young girls. You make it known to them that they don't have to be 5'10 110 lbs and big boobs, or try to live up to society's expectations. You teach young girls to be themselves and love themselves and appreciate themselves and love what they see when they look in the mirror and that's great. Also, you did a show recently where a girl lost her viginity and allowed you all to follow her experience. When I first saw the commercial and heard what the topic was, I was sitting in my living room saying, "What the hell! Tyra done went stone ass crazy! Why would she want to put that on her show, that is so irresponsible." Well I guess you showed me, uh?! It was very tastefully done, as well as informative and yet another good example for young girls when there are so many pressures for girls to have sex at young ages or any age for that matter and letting it be known that it is okay to be a virgin until you're married or just until YOU feel comfortable and ready to make that step. Again, I think you are such a positive person, you're obviously very business savvy (got that from Oprah, uh!), you're EXTREMELY intelligent and a very beautiful person inside and out. I wish you VERY well with your life and your career. PLEASE continue to entertain as well as inform society, especially young girls. As a mother a two young daughters I, if no one else, definetly appreciate the messages you put out there for these girls. All in all...YOU GO BI*C*!!!!!
P.S. I did not mean that offensively.

I just ordered my own "booty cream" for my cellulite and I am soooo excited. In 4 to 7 business days I'll be well on my way to a nice-n-tight bum bum. lol I can't wait. It's crazy how a person will spend so much money and time trying to do any and everything possible to avoid REAL exercise. I know I'm not the only person in the world who hates exercise. Until next time.....smooches!

Somebody asked about acne products. Neotrogena products are pretty good. Get a liquid cleanser, a tonic and a soft cream. Use it religiously. Get also Advance Solutions (Acne Mark Fading Peel) works like a charm. I use it and in no time makes your skin flawless. I hope it works for you :)

Hi Tyra,
I am a huge fan of the show. By you being as blunt, up front and foward, thick and beautiful as you are you give me the confidence that I need to live in this make believe perfect society. Everyday I struggle with my outer apperance. I love seeing someone like you that came from Inglewood CA and being a Black successful woman strive for the best and achieve what you have EARNED. You will never FAIL in anything that you do, you will always rise above the negativity, ignorance, and the HATERS. They say behind every good man stands a good woman but in your case I say behind every strong woman stands an even stronger shadow that follows in the dark and the light.
Thanks for being someone to admire. Best wishes and all greatness in your life.

Hi Tyra, I'm 16 years old and me as well as some of my friends are develping cellulite and stretch marks. Clearly, it doesn't seem to bother them as much as it bothers me and I was wondering if the slimming gel that the one model uses actually "works". My mom hates when I buy those cellulite creams but she doesn't realize the toll my legs take on my self-esteem.

That's A LOT of posts eh?!
Anyway at my last job a girl I worked with noticed me constantly itching my earings and rings. It's fake silver so she said I'm allergic to it, but I can't afford to always buy sterling silver.
Now I can't remember everything she said but she was telling me how to stop it from itching. she said that clear nail polish works for rings but the thing is, it chips off and is annoying to me to find it itching all over again. But she said you could boil the jewelery in water then something something something.
Have you heard of this at all? Or do you know a trick to beat the reactions?

Hi Tyra,
I saw the show on how to do makeup. It was GREAT. I learned alot from you. I thought I was the only one with dark rings under my eyes.No joke my eyes are so bad a lady chased me thru the mall yelling who has been hitting you. I was so scared I have not returned to that mall since. I'm also scard to leave my home with out makeup. Even with makeup you can still see the dark rings under my eyes. I've had them since Iwas a little girl of 5, I'm 26 now. Any how Thank You some much for teaching me how to hide my rings better. Love Your show keep up the great job..

Tyra, I love that you are so upfront and let the audience in on some of your personal secrets and give us helpful tips. I was surprised to hear you say that your measurements are: Bust 34, Waist 28, and Hips 40. I'm curious if you meant to say that your Bra size is 34, because I wear a 36 bra for the fit under my breasts, but am about 42 across the fullest part of the bust ... where catalogs tell you to measure the bustline.

I love the shimmer that Hedi showed off. I have always been a huge shimmer and glitter gal. Try "Galaxy" eye liner by the brand "Hard Candy". I buy mine from an awesome beauty store called Sephora. You can also check them out online, but if you can get to shop at one in person, you should. The store is awesome and they wrap the items perchased so cute and put candy in the bag for you!

to Lora,
I am a 6'1 girl myself, and I know how you feel. It's so much more difficult to get that supermodel style that so many girls can emulate easily. We just can't find it in stores, things aren't created for our height, which is bunk, because I think being tall is more common nowadays. I became 6'1 when I was just 15 years old, and I spent my high school years shy, embarassed, and ashamed. Everyone told me that when I got older I would love it. Well guess what, I never believed them, but it's true now. I am 21 years old, I'm 6'1, 160 lbs, and I LOVE my height! Girls are jealous, you turn heads in a crowd, and my boyfriend loves it because he feels like he's dating a tall slender supermodel whenever I wear heels. Sure, you may get the comment here and there "wow, you're so tall" but I've learned to live with it, and hey, occasionally I do give the answer, "wow, you're short and fat". It makes them think twice about saying something next time, and I get a little retribution in it. But C'MON GIRL! Being tall is awesome, absolutely awesome, and I wouldn't trade it for the world, just try to find comfort wearing a good 3-4' heel, and have people's jaws drop when you walk in the room!!!

Annabelxxxxxxxx
Posted by: Annabel | August 30, 2006 6:33 PM
I watch the show occasionally. My question is this? I am a 6 foot blonde, with the longest legs--40 +inches. Being tall is so hard. People say tall woman are so beautiful--the movie star type, but in the real world, people make fun of tall people. I have to pay twice the amount of money for jeans that fit, I can't ever find any low, pump looking heels, I don't stand up straight, i am very self conscious about it and i hate it. I am constantly told when i meet someone, "boy u are tall". like i don't know that. I don't respond by saying, "boy u are short and fat". i just wish I could have some confidence in myself to wear heels or stand up straight in a crowd. Tall galls are all over the place now, my daughter is almost 6 foot and she is only 15. When will the tall woman be heard and helped like the fat and short woman.
