A Special Note From Tyra - Create A New Name for Beyoncé’s Alter Ego!
About five years ago, I went to a NY Knicks basketball game in New York City. I remember sitting courtside and having a big, almost blonde, hair weave on my head. I was sitting next to a young boy, probably about 10 years old, extremely cute with blue eyes and scruffy brown hair. He kept staring and staring at me. Finally, he asked, "Are you Beyoncé? I am so in love with Beyoncé, and I think you are her. Are you? If you are, I would be so excited because I am obsessed with her. I love Destiny's Child and can sing all of their songs." So I’m sitting there in all of my blonde weave glory, and I felt for the boy. Beyoncé was his hero and he was OBSESSED with her. I couldn't let him down, so I said, "OF COURSE I’M BEYONCÉ!"
He wasn't so convinced though. He was like, "Okay. If you are Beyoncé, list the names of the songs on the newest Destiny's Child CD!" Little did he know that I too was a huge Beyoncé and Destiny's Child fan, so I let him have it! I proceeded with, "INDEPENDENT WOMAN, SURVIVOR, BOOTYLICIOUS, NASTY GIRL, FANCY, APPLE PIE A LA MODE, SEXY DADDY, HAPPY FACE, EMOTION, DANGEROUSLY IN LOVE, BROWN EYES, THE STORY OF BEAUTY, and last but not least, our final song on the album called THANK YOU!" I’ve got to tell you, he was blown away, but still wasn't convinced all the way yet.
So then he asked me, "Ok, if you REALLY are Beyoncé, you can tell me what color outfits you, Kelly and Michelle wore at your last NYC autograph signing." He had me on that one. I had no idea what they wore to their last signing. I was about to blow my cover and had to think fast. I decided to just throw out ANY color to him. So I responded, "You think I don't know what I wore to my last New York autograph signing? OF COURSE I remember! We all wore BLUE!" You should have seen the look in his eyes. He was like, "WOW! You ARE Beyoncé! I stood in line for five hours and you signed my hat at that signing. And you WERE wearing BLUE!”
I never did tell that sweet boy I wasn't Beyoncé. When the basketball game was over, he gave me a hug and said that he had the best time with me (Beyoncé), that I (Beyoncé) was so nice and he would always be a fan. He also promised to buy all of Destiny's Child records for the rest of his life. Little did he know that the person he was with, probably his mom, knew all along that I wasn't Beyoncé. As the crowd filed out of the arena, the woman winked at me and did the universal zipped lip sign implying she wouldn’t say anything. I winked and zipped my lips right back at her.
That is the one and only time I have said I was Beyoncé, but not the last time I’ve been mistaken for her. It seems to happen when I have full hair and makeup on. When my face is washed and my hair is messy, people tend to say I look like Tyra Banks. Sometimes I tell them I am Tyra, but they just smile and nod politely. I know inside their heads they're thinking, "Yeah right. You look a little too busted to be her."
So the REAL Beyoncé is coming on "The Tyra Show" this Friday, September 15th. My whole staff and I are totally excited about her coming on. Beyoncé is as sweet as pie. I can't imagine her ever saying anything bad about anybody. She's got an angelic quality about her, but we all know when she hits the stage she turns into her alter ego, Sasha. Personally, I don't think that name is wild enough for her alter ego. She loses her MIND on stage. Sometimes I bet she forgets where she is and WHO she is when she performs. So again, Sasha is not a crazy enough name for her. I think she should call herself Sashwaneequa. I'd love for all of you to come up with your names for Beyoncé's alter ego and put them on the message boards. Have fun because I'll read them.
But getting back to Beyoncé, it’s true I get mistaken for her quite often. So when Beyoncé was chatting with me on the Tyra Show couch, I told her all about the common case of mistaken identity. I then confessed I don't know why people mistake me for her, we look NOTHING alike! I also had to tell her about shopping at the mall the other day; it started happening again, so I caught it on tape. And you'll never guess what I did! I did the whole “Déjà Vu” video in the mall, dressed like Beyoncé and acting like Beyoncé, but doing normal things like going to Starbucks, trying on shoes, eating lunch and going to the bathroom! It is hard for me to explain in this email how crazy I was that day. I even did the high energy African dance stuff she does in the video. And my spoof wouldn't be complete without Jay-Z. You have got to watch the show to see the whole thing. It was probably one of the craziest things I have ever done! I wasn't sure how Beyoncé would respond to the spoof. I was worried she might be offended, especially since we put Jay-Z in it. And you have to watch the show to see her reaction. All I can say is tears were involved, and the only time I have seen Beyoncé tear up was in her “Ring the Alarm” video.
I love this girl. And I love her even more after I spent an entire hour with her on “The Tyra Show.”

hay girl i am an single mom of three an my middle son is global handicapped as well as legally blind an also wheel chair bound, my dad just past of cancer an my mom is all by herself an i hate leaving her to go home an i was wondering if someone can help me make my mom house extended so me an my kids can just move in with her an be with her all the time her house needs work done on the inside to make more liveable for me an my kids an we need a ramp for my son in his wheelchair, i am just looking for someone to help us in our time of need if possible

HAHAHAHAHAAHAHA to the Sashaquista thingo and HAHAHAHAHAHHA to the spoof. The funniest bit was when AHAHAHAHAHAHA you were ordering from star bucks and did that crazy screaming thing. I am "Crazy In Love" with Beyonce as well..and I think we could have a competition to see who is more obsessed but anyway..you both do look some what a like sometimes. But THATS a compliment right :P

But my family has never been fortunate enough to buy me beautiful things l;ike you two get yourselves. The reason I am writing this is to see if there is any way that I could buy shoes from beyonce. I am 14 and i work two jobs. Iget paid below minimum wage and most of my money I help my mom with the bills. I was watching making the video Beyince-check on it at my friends and I fell in love with them. I would work for a million dollars just to get them. they were pink heels that looked like sketchers.
