Intimacy Mood Killers in the Bedroom
Michael Alvear, Sex Expert and Host of HBO’s “Sex Inspectors,” offers these tips to set the mood for lovin’ in your bedroom!
1. Comforter: the bed is a main focus in any bedroom so remember - flowers equal “cute,” not “sexy!”
2. Sheets: you don’t want to be cuddling on top of sandpaper, so find something soft.
3. Television: you’re a couple, not a trio, so don’t share your attention with an inanimate object. If you want to turn her ON, you need to make sure the TV is turned OFF.
4. Pictures: the only photos that should be in your bedroom, are framed pictures of you and your lover. This isn’t the place to display images of your parents, nephew or best friend from college!
5. Food: unless you’re using edible items during intimacy, food should not be allowed in the bedroom. Crumbs and half eaten meals are not arousing.
Bonus Tips
1. Rose Petals are something nice to try, but remember that dark colors (like red) can stain sheets. But, that’s a small price to pay for a romantic night!
2. Place a colored scarf over a lamp to cast a sexy glow over the room. Remember, beauty is only a light switch away.
Candles are a sexual staple, but try this trick. Place two pillars side by side. This symbolizes closeness and unity and will be a subconscious reminder of the closeness you experience with your mate.
