Find the Perfect Pair of Jeans
When it comes to finding the perfect pair of jeans, you might need to invest a lot of time in the dressing room before locating the pair that satisfies your denim craving. Don't be discouraged, with a little effort and patience, there is an amazing pair of jeans that will make you feel bootylicious!
The following is a list of tips to remember while on your quest for jean nirvana:
NOTICE SHAPE, NOT SIZE: Each style of jean is made for a particular body type and sizes can vary from brand to brand. Keep these syle factors in mind:
- Tapered: Avoid jeans that taper or have bellbottoms if you have a pear shaped body. This style will make you look shorter and bigger. Instead, opt for straight and bootcut styles or jeans with a slight flare.
- Stretch: Curvy girls should choose jeans with a bit of stretch so they’re comfortable, but if you don’t have much booty, avoid baggy jeans and styles that stretch because they flatten the bottom.
- Pocket Placement: Let’s be honest, the perfect pair of jeans will make your booty look FIERCE! Placement of the backside pockets is a huge factor in how we feel about the fit of the jeans (how high or low the pockets are changes the look of your booty). If you have no booty and want to create the illusion of more junk in your trunk, don’t wear pants with low pockets. Also, chose something with flap pockets, which add texture and thickness. If you have a bigger booty, choose jeans with large pockets. Small pockets will just make your booty seem larger.

I am petite with a big booty and a slender waist. I can't find any jeans to fit. I am specifically looking for a pair that has the back pockets closer together, so I won't look like I have a wide load.

HI TYRA!
my legs, they seem like they can never end. I'm 14 and i'm 5'7, taller then most of the girls in my classes. My height is in mostly my legs. I can never find a jean that fits. Its either too big around the waist, or to small, lenght wise. Do you have any tips for me, because you are tall, and skinny, and your jeans fit perfectly.
THANKS !!
love you & your shows

Hi Tyra,
I,m 16 years old and I love both of your shows! I used to want to be a model but I'm only 5'1" and I got kind of discouraged when I found out that you have to be tall to be a model. There are plus sized models so,why can't there be petite models?

Hey Tyra!! YOU ARE MY FAVORITE!! I have a problem, I have big thighs,a big(not super big but it's big for my body size atleast it is to me) nice apple bottom, and a small waist. I can never find a perfect pair of jeans, NEVER. What do you suggest?

i find the best jeans for me are skinny jeans, because they make my butt look bigger, & being a tall & thin girl, they make my hips look bigger too! so that adds more curves to me.

Tyra,
I watch your show all the way in Kenya. Looks like we are 2 months behind. Watched your show (shown above) on the buddy thing yesterday and you talked about & even showed us your cellulite. I would appreciate if you could send me the cellulite removing little gadget as they are not available in this part of the world.
Your fan,
Njambi

I also agree that the skinny jeans phase should pass. Everything I watch on TV and read in magazines says "Skinny jeans are great for every body type!" but I completely disagree. I have an hourglass figure which would seem to be alright, but I have tried on quite a few pairs of skinny jeans and they have never looked decent. I feel like i look like an ice cream cone!!!

I agree to let the SKINNY jean phase pass. It isn't for curvy women (most of us) it is better for young girls who have no curves yet. Plus look at the advertisement GAP is using--the Audrey pant--Audrey Hepburn was one of the first eating disorder victims!!!!

I agree that wearing the perfect kind of jeans will make u feel comfortable of your self as long as u know how to carry them.

I found the perfect jeans that fit like they were designed for me and they ripped apart in several places. My advice is to purchase two pair in case you can't find them again. They were only $25.99
but I wore them out because my other jeans sucked lol.

Any suggestions for a great jean skirt?

I disagree- I see no different in fit between $20 and $200 jeans. Plus, they're jeans! They're supposed to get ruined

My advice is to invest in a nice pair of jeans that you can keep around for a while- they always fit better!

I have a curvy body and definitely agree that tapered jeans do not look good. If you are curvy I also wouldn't reccommend trying the new skinny jean craze- it just doens't work! Let it pass
