Cougar Hunting 101

2. Take the Lead When Traveling in Packs: most prey travel in large bands, but they're often intimidated by cougars who do the same. Cougars must initiate the action. Something as simple as walking up and asking them to join her and her friends for a drink should do the trick.
3. Keep it Light: during initial encounters, it's best to avoid topics like your kids (if you have them) or failed past relationships. Nothing scares off prey faster than reality.

Hello tyra i am 26yrs old and i would love to date a woman in her 30s. I feel that as long as a couple keep there feelings strong it does not matter what people say or feel.Remeber maturity is a big A+.Attraction is the key even though it should not matter but younger men do love older woman because of there experienced and can teach a young man more in life also a young man can teach and older woman,i feel that today most young women always cheat, want money,they dont no romance before finance they dont realize that u can always go broke with any body but in the end you still want romance in your life.

Hi Tyra. I am 36 yrs old, in the middle of a divorce (that is going GREAT by the way) and my guy is only 23 yrs old. I have three kids 9, 13, and 16 yrs old. My kids were introduced to my guy after we had been dating for six months and just before our one year mark, he moved in with me. Things are great, he gets along great with my kids, the kids dad has met him, after one year my family has finally met him... it took my family along time to accept the fact that I had moved on from the kids dad after 17 years. My guy and I have a great respect for each other and he gives me all the attention I need! It also helps that he is a very mature guy! My mother met my step dad when she was 25 yrs old, she was also a widow with three small girls, me and my two older sisters. My step dad well...he was only 19 yrs old. They just celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary. What can i say... Like mother like daugher, who would of thought ;-).

Hi Tyra: Most of my relationships in the past 10 years or more have been with younger men. Im 47. I didnt intend to date younger men, most were intiated from them. Only 1, I intiated and it was a wonderful relationship but due to circumstance we are not together. But this "thing" Im in now, his 37, he intiated, upfront I let him know i wasnt looking for a relationship. We continued and continue to see each other without stings attached,(bootycall so to speak) we care about each other. im sure we could go forward with the relationship,but it has another spin. This comment may be in the wrong topic, but its interacial, which has me hesitant as well as him. Im Native Indian, his not, or he doesnt really acknowledge he is part native to his non-native friends. In public (We live in a small town, where everyone knows everyone) He has some silent rules..Me I dont have any. When we are alone we get along great. Our age diffence is hardly ever brought up, except when we are teasing each other. I never did consider myself a cougar but thats what i have been called and to be in this "thing" like this, upfront is the best way to be......Philly

This must be some sort of trend, although it's not always the older women initiating the encounter... younger men are actively looking for older women. Men have been doing it for years, why not???

I think that this is a little strange- of course it's hard to deny if you truly feel attracted to someone but i think that people need to realize when they are looking at people who are way too young!
