I don't understand Dr. Ablow's comment about how this transsexual had "everything a woman could imagine" I don't or ever imagine what it is like to be a woman BECAUSE I was born a girl & grew up a WOMAN. I've never wanted to be anything or anyone else. The males who are females now or pretend to be female - from what I've seen OVER EXAGGERATE feminine gestures & ways of speaking or walking. What is femine about came NATURALLY. No one had to teach me or doctor on me, so that I could learn how to be myself, A HUMAN BEING, A WOMAN. JOE ANN

Dr. Keith, I am watching your show that is being broadcast on Thursday Feb 22, 2007. And I find what is being said to be very true and a breath of fresh air! I have made the crossing to the proper gender and I am very happy having made this change starting at age 55. I am now 61 attending college, for the first time starting at age 57) and I am a senior at the University of Wyoming studding Social Work. I am personally impressed at the attitude of you and your audience and the understanding as well as the education value of this well put together show. These people that you have interviewed, should number themselves as very luck in their transitions. Mine was not so rewarding, I lost a wife of 32 years and my best friend for some 35 years. I lost all of my friends, my two sons, their wives and my grandchildren; I no longer communication with my family, by their orders, being told that I was a pervert, psychotic and never to contact them again. I found myself going through the stages of grief and contemplating suicide. Luckily my newfound friends and support group were there for me and I am now much better off. I am very happy the only thing I miss are my children. Thank you. Victoria L. Gresens

Our thanks to Dr. Keith for presenting our story - and those of the other TG people who were on the show - with respect. It's a rare thing.
For those viewers who might want more resources & information about transness, I've written two books on the subject: My Husband Betty, and just recently, She's Not the Man I Married. You can come to the site they've provided the link for to find out more.
Thanks again to Dr. Keith & the wonderful producers & staff of the show.
