Beauty Queen Scandals

Beauty pageants like Miss USA and Miss America have long been staples in American culture. But these days, usually wholesome beauty queens have been making scandalous headlines. Miss USA Tara Conner was almost dethroned after allegations surfaced that she was partying too hard, while Miss Nevada lost her crown after steamy photos of her surfaced. Should beauty queens always be held up to a different standard?

Ms USA Tara should relinquish the crown...she has been exposed...the real Tara stoodup...the cover came off...and it is not fair to the others...Tara needed drug treatment long before she became crowned as Ms USA...

Ms USA Tara has manipulated her was to win the crown...and there are no consequences...how do you like that...she was a drug addict long before she became Ms USA...is it okay to falsify documents to become Ms USA...it only applies to Ms USA Tara...she should relinquish the crown...it does not belong to her...the message here is she is the only one that can live a rebellious lifestyle and be rewarded a crown when the others had to live a squeaky clean life and be denied...the message is do all the wrong things and its okay...because you can be crowned Ms USA Queen...

In today's world we often pretend that the world is fair and everyone is equal with equal opportunities but I think that is an illussion. I feel that the reason why Tara still has her crown is beacuse the runner-up is black. Too many us would not even entertain that thought but the truth is, being black still have "disadvantages".

Hi Dr Keith
Your show on Monday Feb 5 2007 was so good. My daughter is Miss Teen International Pa. Pageant has help her grow into the young lady she is today. Going to school my daughter was the one the kids were picking on and making fun of she was bulled all through her school days. When she enter Miss teen International she had to have a platform and she chose school bulling she said if she could help one person then she made the world a little better place. She never new having with title what all she could do. She is working with State Senator Constance H Williams in a bill on school bulling. She told me that winning this title people listen to her. Pageant was help her to make real friends in life. I just want to let you know your program on monday was a good one and take care and god bless you in all you do.
